Hutchinson's Chilling Testimony Leaves No Doubt Trump Was Ringleader of Violent January 6 Attack

WASHINGTON -
Today, the House January 6 Committee questioned Cassidy Hutchinson, former top aide to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, who gave a first-hand account about President Trump’s actions on January 5 and 6, 2021.

Stand Up America’s founder and President, Sean Eldridge, issued the following response:

“Cassidy Hutchinson’s chilling testimony leaves no doubt: President Trump led a criminal conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election. He knowingly sent an armed mob to try to stop the certification of electoral votes and block the peaceful transfer of power. When the Secret Service would not let him join them at the Capitol, he himself became violent.

“Ms. Hutchinson’s testimony makes clear how shockingly close we came to losing our democracy and how we were betrayed by those who swore an oath to defend our Constitution.

“No one is above the law. President Trump and his enablers must be held accountable for their seditious conspiracy.”
