NEW YORK CITY -- The war is SO over! CODEPINK read this news this
morning -- the Iraq War has ended! The members will transform its
scheduled "End of Bush era" party history in Times Square into an
celebration of the end of the war!!

With brooms, confetti, and pink costumes, nearly 50 CODEPINK women will celebrate the amazing news in
a special edition New York Times
today and invite everyone to join them! They will sweep up Bush and his horrendous decisions and policies of
the past eight years and dump them into a giant dust bin today at
Military Island. With the final hours of the Bush Administration in
sight - and an end to six despicable, hideous years of war - CODEPINK
says it's time to rejoice in the dawn of a new era!

CODEPINK is a women-led grassroots organization working to end U.S. wars and militarism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect our tax dollars into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming programs.
