Sanders, Senate and House Leaders Introduce Raise the Wage Act

Tomorrow, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will join Senate and House leaders at 11:30 a.m. EST to host a video conference announcing the introduction of the Raise the Wage Act. The legislation would increase the federal minimum wage to $15 in five steps over the next four years, increasing pay for nearly 32 million workers.

Tomorrow, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will join Senate and House leaders at 11:30 a.m. EST to host a video conference announcing the introduction of the Raise the Wage Act. The legislation would increase the federal minimum wage to $15 in five steps over the next four years, increasing pay for nearly 32 million workers.

Congress has not increased the federal minimum wage in more than a decade - the longest stretch since it was first established in 1938. Today, millions of American workers are struggling to make ends meet. The Raise the Wage Act would lift countless struggling workers and families out of poverty and provide economic security throughout the country.
