WikiLeaks to Publish New Documents Despite US Threats
BERLIN - The online whistle-blower WikiLeaks said it will continue to publish more secret files from governments around the world despite U.S. demands to cancel plans to release classified military documents.
WikiLeaks' Daniel Schmitt poses for a photo after an interview with the Associated Press in Berlin, Germany, Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010. An online whistle-blower's threat to release more classified Pentagon and State Department documents is raising hard questions of what the U.S. government can or would do, legally, technically or even militarily to stop it.
(AP/Markus Schreiber) "I can assure you that we will keep publishing documents - that's what we do," a WikiLeaks spokesman, who says he goes by the name Daniel Schmitt in order to protect his identity, told The Associated Press in an interview Saturday.
Schmitt said he could not comment on any specific documents but asserted that the publication of classified documents about the Afghanistan war directly contributed to the public's understanding of the conflict.
"Knowledge about ongoing issues like the war in Afghanistan is the only way to help create something like safety," Schmitt said. "Hopefully with this understanding, public scrutiny will then influence governments to develop better politics."
He rejected allegations that the group's publication of leaked U.S. government documents was a threat to America's national security or put lives at risk.
"We have tried our best and we are still working on minimizing the harm that has been caused," Schmitt said.
The Pentagon demanded on Thursday that WikiLeaks cancel any plan to publish more classified military documents and pull back tens of thousands of secret Afghan war logs already posted on the Internet.
The demand to stop publishing more classified documents, which the Pentagon has no independent power to enforce, is primarily aimed at preventing release of approximately 15,000 secret documents that the website WikiLeaks has said it is holding and possibly classified U.S. State Department cables.
The Pentagon also hopes to stop WikiLeaks from making public the contents of a mammoth encrypted file recently added to the site. Contents of that file remain a mystery and Schmitt did not want to comment specifically on the content of a file the group posted online with the label "Insurance" in recent days.
He only said that "we regularly distribute backups of documents that have not been published ... This one has just been placed on a very popular site right now to make sure that it has been distributed as widely as possible."
Schmitt said that the group is committed to the security concerns of the world's entire population - which may in some cases be opposed to the United States' national interests.
"WikiLeaks is a globally acting organization," he said. "In that respect we are responsible toward the people of the world and not the people or the specific interests of one particular nation."
WikiLeaks posted more than 76,900 classified military and other documents, mostly raw intelligence reports from Afghanistan, on its website July 25. The 15,000 additional documents are apparently related to that material.
The documents leaked so far illustrate the frustration of U.S. forces in fighting the protracted Afghan conflict and revived debate over the war's uncertain progress. The White House angrily denounced the leaks, saying they put the lives of Afghan informants and U.S. troops at risk.
An Army private, Bradley Manning, is jailed on suspicion of leaking classified material to WikiLeaks in a previous case. He is a "person of interest" in the latest release, the Pentagon has said.
Schmitt said that he, editor-in-chief Julian Assange and three more people work full-time for WikiLeaks, and between 800 and 1,000 volunteer with tasks like verifying documents, programming software or legal defense.
The group publishes their material out of "three to four dozen countries" and has had numerous attacks on its website, he said.

Show AllA threat to power.
Imagine wikiLeaks disclosing documents revealing the collusion and thinking behind carrying out US policies.
Boy if that isn't the understatement of the year. I am reading a James Lee Burke novel about before, during and after Katrina. Hearing how the Governor pleaded for help with evacuations of the poor. Watching the genocide committed against those freeloading black people. Seeing how the government first let them drown and then starve. Hearing how they stood on the roofs of houses and cars and then drowning. Hearing about vigilanties going in and killing 'looters' of black people, while the media talked about white people getting essential supplies. Listening to the corruption of out side contractors get big bids and then not hiring the unemployed of NO. Screwing the US out of Billions for shoddy work.
Hearing of the US setting up brutal dictators and watching them brutalize their citizens. Overthrowing elected governments to put in those brutal dictators.
Invading countries that have resources we want and killing innocent civilians in the hopes of liberating them from the corrupt government people that we fucking put in power too and give them untold money either from our taxes or borrowing it from China.
Hearing we have SF all over the world doing nasty business, but if another country does that to the US, they are called Terrorists.
The biggest news I heard this week is over 250,000 ISPs are being monitored and files stored against US citizens that are trying to protest the illegal things this country is doing. Do the fema camps exists? Probably. Look at all the excutive orders that have come down in the last few decades.
I am ashamed to be an American or even a citizen of this planet.
BP can do untold damage to the gulf coast and it's residents with the consent of our government. How many of those poor people are going to die the horrible death millions of animals have already died of?
With the fucking consent of Obama and his cronies. Seeing Obama still offshore jobs thru USAID while the US goes down the toilet.
This comment has probably been flagged and one of these days, I will get the knock on the door. Hell, they won't knock. They will just come in.
Facism has come to America. The coup has happened. People here are just too damned stupid to realize it.
Hey, let's give time and money to more Dems so we can fix health care. WOuldn't want those thugs ruling the country again. They might give even more money to the banks who confiscated Trillions of dollars of peoples hard earned pensions leaving them to starve and die in their retirement years. Watch them ALL go after SS.
I hope I don't live long enough to see the end of the US. Because it is coming.
"WikiLeaks to Publish New Documents Despite US Threats"
Somewhere an empire is stomping its feet in protest...
That empire seems to be in a bit of a decline these days. Can't even occupy two nations properly, and now it's threatening Iceland. Iceland? I thought the next war was supposed to be Iran. Well, they both start with an 'I', so same difference right?
Iceland is crawling with Lutheranic extremist terrorists. Where the hell have you been?
Yeah!!! Aren't they the creeps who just blew up a huge volcano and stopped alll air traffic in Europe? Gotta be dangerous dudes over there. Anything to distract the fleeting attention of the Amerikun teevee addict ....
And with their free universal access to health care, free university education, a living wage etc...etc... they are also socialist extremists...
Global Flash Mob anyone?
Yeah!
By the way, your moniker has me thinking of adding dark chocolate to my pancakes.
Thanks for the idea.
But you'll have to have them all pulled out after the Savoy Truffle... ;)
"The documents leaked so far illustrate the frustration of U.S. forces in fighting the protracted Afghan conflict and revived debate over the war's uncertain progress. The White House angrily denounced the leaks, saying they put the lives of Afghan informants and U.S. troops at risk."
What about how the documents show how many civilians our military has killed, many of which were previously unreported incidents. Oh, but the AP says they just show how "frustrated" our poor poor military is in there efforts to do good and make peace. Typical propaganda from the US corporate media.
Excellent point.
I guess, most people forgot Obama's acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize, "Through War comes Peace!"
As Noam Chomsky said, "Obama is responsible for more violent acts than Bush." He did not go far enough, Obama is responsible for the murders of more unarmed civilians than Bush....At least, Bush had no idea what was going on!
Obama has his: "Assassination List", targetting alleged militants or insurgents, using drones that are sent to murder people from kids watching video screens in bases located in Nevada, and continuing to lie to the American People.....
Once Obama attacks Iran, he will be able to use his "Emergency Powers" and with the coming Republican Congress watch "Mr. Supreme Leader" and his Council on Foreign Relations Advisers go to work on the rest of the U.S. Constitution.....After all, Henry Kissinger and Zbigniew Brzezinski know what is best for The American People!
The persiflage statement that we have heard over and over and over again: A THREAT TO AMERICAN NATIONAL SECURITY....is nothing but BS! This has to be one of the most Orwellian, putrid and poisonous statements put out by our fascist leaders and their sychophant whores in the MSM. Folks, it is THEIR security that is threatened! not you, me or the average Americans security. Unfortunately, the average American sheeple always bows in obesiance to this MIC ad hominem.
WikiLeaks is the story of our time. All the kings horses and all the kings men can not put the kibosh on the truth. The whole world is watching US. What "We" are about to find out about ourselves, the rest of the world has known all along. "We" have been living inside a vacuum created by our Politburo. Secrecy is used to conceal evil deeds.
Maybe WikiLeaks is Superman and will bring back Truth, Justice and the American Way!
What's and aging empire to do? YOU can't stop WikiLeaks, Chavez, 100 Al-Qaeda, Ahmadinejad, an oil leak, global warming, dissent, etc..... Can you spell impotence?
Yes, Wikileaks is the hope of a world Superman.
It is the only global force now for truth, peace, and justice.
This "National Security" excuse for war crimes and world domination is so old now. It was the excuse LBJ gave to Earl Warren for the cover-up of the murder of JFK when LBJ's own people did it.
When the Pentagon demands that info on the web gets returned, they don't even understand that you can't keep a secret that everybody already knows and that is the heart of the secrecy sickness of war addiction.
The truth is the Superman that cant be stopped and it's power never dies.
*** BREAKING NEWS: HACKERS ARE NOT GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD ***
ThomasJefferson wrote:

And to hell with types like Bradley Manning, a whistleblower, who is now a military prisoner, and soon to be tried?
If you think hackers are our saviors, think again! Read this article:
"Wikileaks editor skips NYC hacker event":
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1009_3-20010866-83.html
Adrian Lamo - the HACKER who turned Bradley Manning in to the Pentagon authorities - was treated warmly by all at the hacker forum:
"'I think it's hilarious,' Lamo...said afterward [about the suggestion by a Wikileaks volunteer to ostracize him]. "And I don't think that the hacker community is really going to rise to it. I've been very well-treated by almost everybody I met...What would the [hacker] audience say? Who approves of leaking over a quarter million diplomatic cables?...The response would probably have been silence, confusion, and scattered laughter."
Lamo looks like a creepy little man.
STOP LOOKING FOR HEROES! First, it's Chomsky, who does nothing except give talks to students at universities for a $12,000 fee - and then invests that money in oil stocks and trust funds (to avoid paying tax) - and now it's the hacker community.
Until the public look to themselves to change things, NOTHING is going to change.
But as soon as a member of the public attacks a guy like Chomsky, they get "beaten up" by the "progressive" community. Great work, guys!

DONATE TO HERE TO SAVE BRADLEY MANNING FROM POTENTIALLY LIFE IN PRISON:
***********************************************************************
http://www.bradleymanning.org/
There have been question marks over Wikileaks commitment to help Manning, such as not providing a legal team i.e. they have more than enough money. Well, you'll have to research that yourselves. The site above, however, is not associated with Wikileaks.
So one hacker's quote, is supposed to discredit all of Wikileak's good and courageous work, and all hackers risking the backlash of the shadow government?
What have you personally done to challenge the shadow government directly lately?
Your pomposity is annoying.
How many people have you inspired over the last decade to take another look at what the government is telling them, and then compare that to the likes of a Chomsky.
But no, Chomsky doesn't pass your purity test.
A lot of hackers associated with the founders of Wikileaks have been helping dissidents in China keep ahead of it's iron fist censorship for years now.
We need more hackers interested in exposing truth.
You are at a loss as to why Wikileak's editor would skip a NYC event? Think man.
What's your deal with Chomsky anyway? Have you read his works? Your poisonous approach to request help for Manning is offensive and ineffective.
Now what was the website again?
By the way, on a very serious note, you are aware of something called the Patriot Act right? If I have to explain my point, then that would illustrate perfectly the good role of a Noam Chomsky, and how he needs to schedule even more speaking engagements at maybe just 10,000 bucks a pop.
You're right that it's not about heroes, although Assange and Chomsky are welcome to hide out in my attic any day. No, it's just physics and social evolution. Hackers hack because they can, the same reason soldiers kill and terrorists terrorize and governments oppress and steal. The reason this wikileaks thing is fun to watch is because the State (all power cartels actually) is just now discovering that its precious information is a runny liquid and that its containment system is increasingly not up to the job. Immanuel Kant must be laughing right now. An empire without secrets is just a gang of hoodlums. It is a potentially apocalyptic scenario (with the biblical mysticism removed of course) - the age of revelation when all our dirty little secrets come tumbling out into the light of day. They'll still be little and they'll still be dirty, but they won't be secrets.
*** BRADLEY MANNING ***
If the "progressive" community can't raise enough money to hire a good legal team for Manning, then it should hang its head in shame, and GO HOME!
Manning's actions go right to the heart of what the "progressive" community is meant to stand for - getting information out to the public!
"CommonDreams" should have a front page link to the site where you can donate, but it doesn't.
"Democracy Now!" also has NO link.
Chomsky's site is silent, too.
Clearly, THERE IS NO PROGRESSIVE COMMUNITY. Just a bunch of capitalists selling opinions, articles, and views for cash.
Manning is just 22 years old. He acted out of conscience; he intended no harm. Individuals should not be punished for doing what their conscience tells them to do. But those in power are PSYCHOPATHS - the military top brass, especially so - and that means they lack a conscience, so such actions are unfathomable to them.
The "progressive" community also, clearly, lacks a conscience. The "community" is simply a collection of complete and utter hypocrites.
http://www.bradleymanning.org
I like your passion richardstone, but your approach is less than inspiring. You're using guilt and insults to garner support for Manning. I suspect this only serves to turn off most prospective donors to his cause. Why not just make an impassioned appeal for support and leave off the insults; they're counterproductive.
www.bradleymanning.org/
There. Now you have brought the truth to the world...which truth is available by googling the name Bradley Manning.
Why will you be happy only when every significant target of the paranoid and vengeful government has put its head in the noose you have prepared for all of them?
I'd like to see you use that approach on a construction site, "Hey asshole, give me a hand over here". You'd get a hand for sure, but not the kind you were hoping for.
Richardstone,
thanks for the post and the web site. Will send some cash to help Mr. Mannings defense fund. Can't stand Chomsky, he is way too pro-Zionist for me.
Life is good.
From BadleyManning.org site - why help with Bradley Manning's legal team?:
"After putting his life on the line to provide the public with information he felt they deserved, the fate of Bradley Manning - who is said to have felt unsupported in life anyway - would be left in the dirty hands of the US military prison system for a substantial portion of his life."
The "progressive" community just worships Chomsky, and hands that guy all their money - $12,000 just to get him to speak. Great work, everyone!
F**k the real heroes!
Can you confirm the $12K speaking fee?
Pittsburgh's near-bankrupt activist organization, the Thomas Merton Center has invited Chomsky to speak at the annual award dinner as the recipient of the 2010 Merton Center Award. They could not begin to afford the $12,000. Tickets are $45 or $25 low income, with seating for perhaps 500 at most. But, most of this goes to the ballroom and catering.
richard, your zeal for bradley manning is admirable & needed. i wish CD et al would link to the site you list.
one needn't "worship" chomsky to ask where you get info on his speaking fees. are they even fees? or honoraria? you also made assertions about his investment decisions. can you back that up as well?
someone else said wikileaks agreed to cover half of manning's legal fees. so some people out there in progresso land are trying to do their part (& wikileaks is up to its neck in its own problems).
richardstone, you are acting like a fucking provocateur.
Trying to start a fight between progressives and a whistle blower.
You have no shame... what a creepy thing to do..
FWIW, Jim, I had that same thought. Methinks he doth protest too much.
Well, he does have a point though. The whistle blowers have a history of paying a price for their attempts at open and honest govt. The angst about progressives could have been omitted , certainly, but I wonder if the comment tweaked some consciences, and may come equally from the far left or far right .
My heroes, and I usually refrain from using that word. I hope more filthy facts about our murderous foreign policy finally come to light. The shadow government finally has a pesky gnat sized bite of truth whizzing around its head, that it can't yet swat.
Let`s replace all the government "officals" with WikiLeaks employees and for once let the truth be told! GREAT work WikiLeaks! Keep the info flowing and educating the sleeping public! Maybe soon the public wake up and rise up to take back their prospective countries.
And so it begins, the battle for Americas soul,,,
In red, white and blue trunks the most powerful military in worlds history,
In the White Trunks held up by coax cable , Wiki leaks.
The epic global battle of military industrial complex vs. intellectual freedom of speech via the world wide internet has begun.
As a constitutional loving American , who values freedom of speech,I must fear the main stream media and our Government being controlled by the military industrial complex,I must place my support with truth to power.
I choose Freedom of speech, Wiki Leaks.
Why??? Its simple, our freedoms and future depend on freedom of speech. No one greater weapon does an American own.Think , and be heard.Do not follow into the arms those who preach fear through military might.
We the people ,may not have money, power, or an Army, but we have a constitution that protects our civil rights, and gun ownership.
You can fight aggression, bad policy making, poor leadership , and greedy war mongering chikenhawks with freedom of speech.
You can fight oppression and tyranny with guns.
Wiki Leaks is the free press America should have home grown for itself, but fear and intimidation have put a massive cloud over America blocking the Sunshine.
The USA has gone too far, and declared war on the world when it trys to dictate what can or can not be freedom of speech.
The truth is simply this, you can not hold back the truth. Its to powerful, its meant to be, its faith and justice all rolled up into a weapon of mass destruction used to cleans our evils, secrets, and deceptions from the depths of vile human denial.
The kind of denial that festers and grows, and if left unchecked consumes our souls whole country's at a time.
Our founding fathers were many things good an bad, but their efforts in writing a constitution that could protect us from self destruction are with out a doubt, soul searching truth for justice.
I have heard many a times that America is controlled by the elite, and the military industrial complex, but our military are " We the People" , we should not underestimate the power of non religious, un-brainwashed patriots in our military.
Not Everyone marches lockstep to the tune of war mongering fanatics.
SUPPORT FREEDOM OF SPEECH , SUPPORT WIKI LEAKS.
I THINK, THEREFORE I AM NOT A PUPPET TO THE AMERICAN WAR MACHINE HANDLERS.
bornfreemen, great image for cartoonists. The little skinny pale white haired nerdy revolutionary in matching boxers held up by a coaxial wire,V.S. a huge musclebound G.I. Joe type dressed in Uncle Sam wear. Can I use that one please?
peace
Let`s replace all the government "officals" with WikiLeaks employees and for once let the truth be told! GREAT work WikiLeaks! Keep the info flowing and educating the sleeping public! Maybe soon they will wake and rise up to take back their prospective countries.
"The Pentagon demanded on Thursday that WikiLeaks ... pull back tens of thousands of secret Afghan war logs already posted on the Internet"
Are these people complete idiots who have no conception of how the internet works (despite it's start as Arpanet, through the Dept. of Defense)? How about a world-wide door to door campaign, asking people if they have any of those files to just deposit them into the canvas bag, to be hauled away to the trash? Or maybe they can just reverse time, so it never happened?
Is the government TRYING to be laughed at?
Arpanet:
ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), created by a small research team at the head of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the United States Department of Defense, was the world's first operational packet switching network, and the predecessor of the contemporary global Internet. The packet switching of the ARPANET was based on designs by Lawrence Roberts, of the Lincoln Laboratory.
Per Wiki
Exposing the war crimes and atrocities of US power elites and their war machine are vital for the victory of real democracy over US and other allied and client state totalitarianism and S & M ism. Long live a real free press!
"Freedom next time" as John Pilger would put it should be our guide for action and for those leading the brave fight for democracy in our time. They deserve the St George's Cross and all the other medals that they could be awarded for defending democracy. Let's get the British prime minister to award the St George's Cross to them in absentia straightaway!
All apologies except the one for the Goths' sacking of Rome I agree with, but this was more like Custer's last stand, and we all know Custer had it coming. Sometimes civilized people have to defend civilization against Western savagery too often passed off as Western civilization. How else will we get a return to the the democracy, civilization, and humanity which came out of the heart of Africa from 1.4 million to 2.4 million years according to the Smithsonian. We can't let the last 10,000 to 12,000 years of hierarchal power elites' brain washing stop us, That's too many years of hierarchy for humanity.
AD
I love to see the bastards squirm, from Obama on down. Wikileaks is magnificent.
The U.S. military and its globalized bases put the world at risk and constitute a threat to the continuance of life on Earth.
As such, any publication of documents that can diminish that risk and threat is welcome.
Until recently I harbored doubts about Julian Assange; they have been mitigated by his courageous resistance to U.S. intimidation, and I won't have any left if Wikileaks publishes more U.S. military documents.
I am very pleased that Wikileaks is kicking Amerikkka's butt.
The steadily unfolding story of Wikileaks versus the homicidal, world-bullying, testosterone-poisoned U.S.A. truly is the story of these times, and may the fucking Pentagon with its dorky spokesmodels go down in flames.
A further thought: It isn't just my imagination, is it, that this Wikileaks phenomenon appears to be symptomatic of the world saying to the U.S., or any state with the same kind of fucked-up 'we own the world - we'll exploit, rape, kill, enslave and subjugate as much as we please' mentality: 'FUCK OFF, NOW!!! You do NOT have the right to pull the shit you're pulling, we've had a goddamn bellyful of your bullshit, and we're fucking done lying down and taking it.'
That the United States expects the rest of the world to lie down and take it as it bulldozes over it, like the fucking Israelis and their theft of Palestinian land, is prima facie evidence of a delusional, failed state sowing the seeds of its destruction at a fantastic rate. We cannot expect the MSM in America to get their faces out of the crotches of the rich or the imperial political 'elites' long enough to do anything morally right or humane or intelligent or representative of the interests of the U.S. people, so we'll say it here: Wiklileaks has the balls to call the U.S. government on its crimes, and through its actions makes the critical point that IF THE U.S. THINKS IT CAN ASSUME THE RIGHT TO PULL THIS SHIT IN AFGHANISTAN, IRAQ, AND LIKELY SOON IRAN, TO SAY NOTHING OF ITS WORLD-WIDE MILITARY BASES, HEGEMONIC TRAMPLING OF THE GLOBE, AND 'FULL-SPECTRUM DOMINANCE', THEN EVERYONE ELSE, STARTING WITH WIKILEAKS, HAS THE INCONTESTABLE RIGHT TO CALL THEM ON THIS SHIT AND TO STAND UP FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE, AND FUCK THE U.S. IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT.
Just because a schoolyard bully wants to punch me in the face and asserts some greater-size-and-physical-power right to do so does not in fact mean that I have to stand there and take it. That the U.S. believes that its victims and its critics should subjugate themselves and a more just international agenda to its will is asking for trouble.
When the Pentagon trotted out that fake, fatuous, lying arsehole 'Geoff Morrell' the other day to threaten Wikileaks, I had to laugh my guts out. Where did they get this clown? Oh, right, like most other corporate entities, the Pentagon has no idea whatsoever how to cast its actors so as not to look ridiculous. As long as you toe the company line, you'll do, no matter if the audience regards you as a pathetic twat. Get thee back to the singles bar, Mr Morrell, where I'm sure your cock size is your favoured subject with the brain-dead, shallow boys/girls/small furry animals you like to chat up. The Pentagon, like the ultra-corporatized U.S. government and its puppet in chief, is absolutely clueless as to how stupid and impotent they look. As bluepilgrim points out in these comments, 'are these people complete idiots [with] no conception of how the internet works?' Umm, yeah. But 'complete idiots' is being charitable. The United States government under Obama is managing daily to out-Bush Bush - a feat that I never for a moment imagined would characterize these days.
Mr Obama, and these fucked-up macho losers in the military would be well-advised to never mind Wikileaks and focus on the real threats and their own crimes - themselves and their teenage-boy notion of being and acting in the world, the 20,000 dead civilians, the murderous, video-gaming methodology of many of its forces. But that of course presupposes that the U.S. government has any connection or committment to the welfare or fate of its own nation or its people, or any sense of having to get along in the world, or the rights of other nations or peoples, when they do not align with American interests.
I like to think that Wikileaks' 'Insurance' file contains hard proof that 9/11/2001 was an inside job, photos of Cheney buggering Bush, etc.
Barry G.
You may very well be correct when you say that you believe that the rest of the world has become less than impressed with the United States. The hope is that this frustration and anger toward the U.S. will manifest itself by seeing the UK and Germany remove all of its armed forces out of Afghanistan. Those actions by those countries might then create pressure upon the United States to finally withdraw from Afghanistan as well as Iraq. What would be just as impressive is to see countries around the world boycott U.S. goods just as some countries are now boycotting foods and other goods coming out of Israel.
"What would be just as impressive is to see countries around the world boycott U.S. goods..."
Great idea, but what would that look like? The rest of the world boycotting Hollywood movies, video games, weaponry and hedge funds? Hell, only the poorest of the poor will take our "food"... the developed world has been, in effect, boycotting our GMO-laden grains for years.
Right in every point. Shout it from the rooftops. Great post.
Does anyone know why Adrian Lamo contributed money to wikileaks?
http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2009/02/wikileaks-force/
Just curious.
It was reported that the Pentagon was "looking" for Julian Assange .....apparently much harder than they are looking for that cartoon character who lives in the cave, Osama Bin Laden and all his phony baloney audio and video tapes. One minute he has a grey beard, the next minute a jet black beard. Give me a break.
This has nothing to do with National Security. It is about the security of liars, deceivers, murderers, war profiteers and war criminals.
That five sided building on the other side of the river and the five thousand corporations that produce goods and services for it on the tax payers dime is the biggest threat the United States has ever faced.
The Military Industrial Complex, those same people who brought you the August 4th 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident......"but historians in recent years have concluded that the Aug . 4 attack never happened" [New York Times July 14, 201]..........these same treacherous scum-sucking parasites who fed sixty thousand boys into a meat grinder back then and have now fed around four thousand is it (?) into a new meat grinder, with all their lies, with 9/11 being the biggest whopper of them all.
Here's the reason we went into Iraq:
“Indeed, the United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security. While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein.”
--- Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century, Page 14, A Report of The Project for the New American Century, September 2000. Among the 25 founding members of The Project for the New American Century whom signed the Statement of Principles in 1997, were Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz.
This was never about Saddam Hussein, he was just the excuse, he did not even matter! This was about building permanent bases sitting on top of 11% of the worlds remaining oil reserves.
But they could not sell this pile of s--t to the American People unless...
“Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.”
--- Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century, Page 51, A Report of The Project for the New American Century, September 2000. Among the 25 founding members of The Project for the New American Century whom signed the Statement of Principles in 1997, were Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz.
Funny how the terrorists are always where the oil is!?
And then they all ran around saying things like:
[9/11 created] "the kind of opportunities that World War II offered, to refashion the world."
--- Secretary Rumsfeld Interview," New York Times, October 12, 2001
"...how do you capitalize on these opportunities"
---Condoleezza Rice instructing senior members of the National Security Council, Nicholas Lemann, “The Next World Order: The Bush Administration May Have a Brand-New Doctrine of Power,” New Yorker, April 1, 2002

How obvious is too obvious? May they all rot in Hell!
"Schmitt says that Wikileaks has fed the speculation that it is CIA-funded. "There's nothing better than half of the world thinking we are CIA," says Schmitt. "As long as the right half believe this. It might encourage some people to submit material."
John Young has changed his opinion about Wikileaks....
Young's main gripe is the anonymity of the site's operators, which he describes as leaving the group open to "being co-opted by spies. It is common spy tradecraft to do that, as in journalism, media, education, churches, government and so on.""
http://www.wired.co.uk/wired-magazine/archive/2009/10/start/exposed-wikileaks%27-secrets?page=all
Any ideas why a whistleblower would be heartened by believing they were leaking to a CIA front organization?
smells of perfume and brownies
beard, name Daniel Schmitt. someone has to be laughing
