Open Letter to the Grassroots: Help Organize for Urgent Action on Climate Change
Mobilize Against a Broken System
The Mobilization for Climate Justice is
a North America-based network of organizations and activists who have
joined together to build a North American climate justice movement that
emphasizes non-violent direct action and public education to mobilize
for effective and just solutions to the climate crisis. The
Mobilization for Climate Justice invites communities, organizations and
activists across North America to join us in organizing mass action on
climate change on November 30, 2009 (N30). N30 is significant because
it both immediately precedes the upcoming UN Climate Conference in
Copenhagen (COP-15) and is the ten-year anniversary of the successful
shut down of the WTO in Seattle, when activists worldwide came together
to demonstrate the power of collective action. The Copenhagen climate
meetings will be a major focus for international mass actions this
November and December, and the MCJ is linked to these efforts as well.
Urgent action is needed around the Copenhagen climate talks because this is where governments around the world plan to finalize the international climate regime that will take effect when the Kyoto Protocol climate agreement expires in 2012. So far it appears that the new climate agreement will be nothing more than business as usual-sacrificing real action on climate change in favor of market-based approaches that enhance corporate profits, while delaying urgent measures to forestall catastrophic global heating.
A Radical Change in Direction is Urgently Needed
The MCJ invites you to inspire and organize a radical change in direction to put climate justice, ecological integrity and people's rights at the center of international climate negotiations.
Market-based approaches to climate change dominate the UN climate talks. Carbon-trading and carbon offset projects have allowed polluters to avoid cutting emissions and accelerated the corporate take-over of the natural world at the expense of local and Indigenous communities. Those most immediately threatened by climate change and its false solutions - Indigenous Peoples, people of color, women, peasant and family farmers, fisherfolk, forest dependent communities, youth, and marginalized communities have been systematically excluded from the negotiations.
The climate crisis is directly linked to the financial crisis, the food crisis and the extinction crisis, as well as to militarism and war. They are rooted in an economic system dedicated to economic growth at any cost. We are uniting to challenge this system that puts profits over people or the earth. Urgent action to solve the climate crisis must include a complete transformation away from the dominant economic model of incessant and unsustainable growth, oppression and injustice.
We must highlight real, effective and just solutions to climate change
Join us in promoting solutions to climate change that are locally controlled, decentralized, bioregionally appropriate and socially just. Thousands of these solutions already exist and need to be promoted and supported with public funds.
Help ensure that large-scale, destructive corporate-controlled false solutions to climate change are eliminated. This includes so-called ?clean coal,? agrofuels (industrial scale biofuels), nuclear power, and large-scale hydropower. It also includes REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation)-the UN and World Bank initiative that offers incentives for countries to sell off their forests, expel Indigenous and peasant communities, and transform biodiverse and carbon-rich forests into industrial timber plantations.
Some key solutions to climate change include:
- Drastically reducing emissions without resorting to carbon trading and offsetting or other false solutions such as nuclear energy, agrofuels, or "clean coal", while protecting the rights of those affected by the transition;
- Keeping fossil fuels in the ground;
- Re-localization of production and consumption, prioritizing local markets and cooperative economies;
- Decentralized utility systems and community controlled clean renewable energy;
- Rights based resource conservation that enforces indigenous land rights and ends corporate control over energy, forests, seeds, land and water;
- Ending deforestation and its underlying causes, imposing international sanctions and wood tariffs, coupled with a massive forest restoration effort, managed primarily by indigenous forest-dwelling peoples;
- Ending excessive consumption in the North and by elites in the South;
- Repayment of ecological debts owed by northern governments and resource extracting corporations to peoples in the Global South
The goals of the Mobilization for Climate Justice are:
1) To build a global movement for climate justice that encourages urgent action to avoid catastrophic climate change, and which addresses the root social, ecological, political and economic causes of the climate crisis toward a total systemic transformation of our society.
2) To promote and strengthen the rights and voices of Indigenous and other affected peoples, (including workers in energy-intensive industries) in climate mitigation and adaptation strategies.
3) To expose the consequences of false and market-based climate "solutions" as well as corporate domination of climate negotiations, while advancing alternatives that can provide real and just solutions and which protect biodiversity.
Join Us in Taking Action!
Please join us in our national effort to organize educational events and non-violent direct actions at key locations in the U.S. on November 30, 2009. We welcome the active involvement of organizations that are united with us in our goals above, in our opposition to market-based false solutions to climate change, and in support of real, effective and just solutions to climate change.
We encourage local groups to create proposals for action on N30. We hope to have direct actions on climate change in locations across the U.S.
We also endorse and support a global call for action on October 12, 2009 the International Day of Action in Defense of Mother Earth and in Support of Indigenous Rights.
Please get involved and take action for climate justice.
Hope is not just a feeling, it is also about taking action.

Show AllWhat this statements either ignores and / or omits is a call to be ready for astroturf lobbying tactics of the Oil and Coal industries (whom have the template set out by the Health insurance and Drug companies to follow and refine) that is sure to spew out from that quarter. They do have massive profits to protect after all. To ignore or omit this inevitability is a serious mistake of the first order.
i thought i'd post an article from global research on cimate change - this whole subject has been swamped by rhetoric - and is little understood
i'll tell you one thing - if you thing we haven't been screwed by wall street badly enough yet - then just watch them drooling to get their hands on the the carbon trading tax credits - wall street and the rockefellers
i am for cleaning up the environment, reducing emissions and repairing the damage we have done to planet earth every bit as much as the next guy - but let's do it right
people have "passionate" views on a topic they don't understand

Global Warming or Global Freezing: is the ice really melting?
By F. William Engdahl
If the fear of death from a fictitious Swine Flu were not enough, the scare stories on world media such as BBC or CNN, showing melting icebergs are dramatic enough to cause one sleepless nights. The Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-Moon even made a recent appeal while standing on an Arctic ice-flow, claiming that man-made CO2 emissions were causing "100 billion tons" of polar ice to melt each year, so that in 30 years the Arctic would be "ice-free". One organization, the WWF, claimed that the Arctic ice was melting so fast that in eighty years sea-levels would rise by 1.2 meters, creating "floods affecting a quarter of the world." Wow! That’s scary. Goodbye Hamburg, New York, Amsterdam...
The publicity stunt of Ban Ki-Moon was carefully orchestrated. It was not said that his ship could only come within 700 miles of the North Pole owing to frozen ice. Nor that he made his stunt in the summer when Arctic ice always melts before refreezing beginning September.
The reality about Arctic ice is quite different. Although some 10 million square kilometres of sea-ice melts each summer, each September the Arctic starts to freeze again. The extent of the ice now is 500,000 sq km greater than it was this same time last year – which was, in turn, 500,000 sq km more than in September 2007, the lowest point recently recorded (see Cryosphere Today of the University of Illinois, http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/ ).
By next April, after months of darkness, it will be back up to 14 million sq km or likely more. As British science writer Christopher Booker remarks, “even if all that sea-ice were to melt, this would no more raise sea-levels than a cube of ice melting in a gin and tonic increases the volume of liquid in the glass.”
Sunbeams from cucumbers?
The current global warming propaganda scare is being hyped by politicians and special interests such as Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street financial firms that stand to reap billions trading new carbon credit financial futures. They are making an all-out effort to scare the world into a deal at the December Copenhagen Global Warming summit, the successor to the Kyoto agreement on CO2 emission reduction. It’s been estimated that the Global Warming bill supported by Barack Obama and his Wall Street patrons, passed by the House of Representatives but not by the more conservative US Senate, would cost US taxpayers some $10 trillion.
In Sweden a new study (, in published by Haakan Grudd of the University of Stockholm’s Department of Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology confirms that the Arctic today is not warmer than in previous historical periods centuries ago before coal power plants or automobiles. Grudd’s study concludes that “The late-twentieth century is not exceptionally warm in the new record: On decadal-to-centennial timescales, periods around a.d. 750, 1000, 1400, and 1750 were equally warm, or warmer. The 200-year long warm period centered on a.d. 1000 was significantly warmer than the late-twentieth century and is supported by other local and regional paleoclimate data.” (H. Grudd, Torneträsk tree-ring width and density ad 500–2004: a test of climatic sensitivity and a new 1500-year reconstruction of north Fennoscandian summers, Climate Dynamics, Volume 31, Numbers 7-8 / December, 2008, in
http://www.springerlink.com/content/8j71453650116753/?p=fcd6adbe04ff4cc29b7131b5184282eb&pi=0.) Put simply, the earth was warmer one thousand years ago than today. And there were no records of SUVs or coal plants belching CO2 into the atmosphere back then.
The only problem with these serious scientific studies is that mainstream media entirely ignores them, preferring dramatic scare story scenarios such as Barack Obama presented in his UN speech or the UN’s Ban Ki-Moon in his staged Arctic ice drama.
Strangely enough, none of the Global Warming proponents that I am aware of have tried to correlate ENSO activity with global temperature changes. Should we instead be proposing to outlaw El Ninos or forbid solar eruptions? It makes as much scientific sense as banning or capping CO2 emissions. Global Warming as a new religion is one thing, but we should be clear that the high priests are the same Gods of Money who brought us Peak Oil religion a few years ago and the current trillion dollar financial meltdown known as asset securitization. The reality is that Global Warming like Peak Oil and other scares are but another attempt by powerful vested interests to convince the world to sacrifice that they remain in control of the events of this planet. It’s a thinly veiled attempt to misuse climate to argue for a new Malthusian reduction of living standards for the majority of the world while a tiny elite gains more power.

labeau, who's paying you? I love it when you deniers actually cite a reference that itself debunks your own claim. You wrote this:
"The reality about Arctic ice is quite different. Although some 10 million square kilometres of sea-ice melts each summer, each September the Arctic starts to freeze again. The extent of the ice now is 500,000 sq km greater than it was this same time last year – which was, in turn, 500,000 sq km more than in September 2007, the lowest point recently recorded (see Cryosphere Today of the University of Illinois, http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/ )."
Do you know anything at all about statistics? Do you know that 2 years doesn't make a trend? Let's go back to 1900 shall we, using the graph YOU CITED. In 2006, the extent of summer ice in the Arctic was 2,000,000 + square kilometers more than in 2007. The average in the 1990s was 3 million more, the 1960s 4 million more, the 1940s 4.5 million more, the 1910s 5 million more. See where I'm going with this?
I won't bother wasting my time looking up your other citations, no doubt they're just as useless.
bidelo: if you stop frothing for a second you might see that i didn't write this at all - i cited and sourced it from f william engdahl - he is probably the most importan american journalist in the world
i've also cited the petition signed by 30, 000 american climatologists that do not agree with you
never mind who's paying me - who's paying you
if you want to froth - froth well
don't forget your h1n1 flu shot
I don't get your point, lebeau, you still used it in your diatribe. What difference does it make who it comes from, if it contradicts your own argument? The reason why I "froth" is because whenever I point out huge gaping holes in the arguments of deniers like you, they NEVER provide a rebuttal. Instead they move onto another argument like your "30,000 american climatologists".
OK, lets deal with that little piece of denier propoganda. First the BIG FAT LIE. You say "30,000 american climatologists". Well, here the breakdown - only 3,803 were in a related discipline, and ONLY 39 OF THOSE WERE CLIMATOLOGISTS. Oh, you were only 99% off. This is from the their very own website: http://www.petitionproject.org/qualifications_of_signers.php

Tell me lebeau, what qualifies a computer scientist, a medical doctor, an engineer to know anything more than the average person about climate change?
Oh yeah, and labeau, this "petition" was run by guess who? None other than Frederick Seitz, who worked with RJ Reynolds to deny the link between tobacco and lung disease. And you think we're the fools.
i never said anyone is a fool - you did
the frothing hyperbole is all yours bro
OK, you never sad anyone is a fool, but you sure as hell did just get caught spewing a pile of crap and lies that only a fool would believe. So either you are a fool, or just another charlatan selling snake oil, whether paid to do so or not.
You know lebeau, the only way you think you can win the argument is by these ridiculous semantics, I never said... what disqualifies them... etc. You never rebutt my arguments with actual facts about climate change. You never addressed my issue about your lies concerning the number of climatologists, the WWF, etc. You never addressed my issue about your shoddy statistical analysis. And there you go again introducing new conspiracy theories like 911 truth and flu vaccines. It doesn't bolster your argument at all, it just says that you have a kneejerk personality that contradicts anything in mainstraem science. The next thing you'll probably say is that smoking doesn't cause cancer like your hero who ran the petition (you didn't address that point either).
I don't get your point, lebeau
i know i can see that
you ask "Tell me lebeau, what qualifies a computer scientist, a medical doctor, an engineer to know anything more than the average person about climate change?"
i ask what disqualifies them
for example: computer scientists model climate - maybe that's how he knows
i would also hope that medical doctors and engineers generally know more than the average person
people like:
architects and engineers for 9/11 truth
http://www.ae911truth.org/
doctors for 9/11 truth
http://www.fleshandstone.net/healthandsciencenews/doctors911truth.html
the high bar that you suggest of the knowledge base of the "average person" is not that high considering that 35% of americans are functionally illiterate
lastly, i never said they knew more than the average person to begin with
you did
You are free to accept the preposterous notion that the world's scientists are in conspiracy. i'll stick with the scientists.
The basic science of climate disruption is straightforward. Carbon dioxide (and other molecules containing carbon) retain heat more efficiently than the other main constituents of the atmosphere. Humans have increased atmospheric carbon by over 50% since we started mining fossil fuels. The atmosphere now retains heat more efficiently than it did prior to industrialism.
This is not some Malthusian myth dreamed up by elite propagandists. This is simply true.
The vast majority of scientists accept the basic truth that human activities have altered the atmosphere and the climate, with overall global temperature on the rise, affecting sea level, rain patterns, agriculture, glacial melt, river flow, etc.
i've read a number of scientific papers published in Science Magazine and in Nature Magazine. Around 2005, field reports from scientists studying climate-related issues became quite alarming, with the rate of change suddenly going outside of even the worst-case scenarios predicted by climate-change models. Temperatures are rising faster, ice is melting faster, patterns in general are shifting faster, than even the most alarmist scientists had been predicting. This change in the nature of field reports has continued since 2005, with every year researchers reporting that in their area of expertise, things are changing faster than had been occurring previously, and faster than had been predicted even given a growing understanding that human-induced climate change is happening.
i am not telling you what i learned from elite propagandists or Malthusian plotters. i am telling you what i have read in Science Magazine and Nature Magazine.
The refusal to accept the work of the world's scientists is bizarre.
This is not to say that elite plotters are not seeking to distort public awareness for their own ends. This happens all the time. The concepts of "carbon markets" or "pollution derivatives" as solutions for the climate crisis are ugly efforts by elites to reap billions of dollars from the crisis, and to postpone real action that can and should be swiftly enacted, to stop mining carbon and restructure the economy and society around natural flows of energy, while restoring as much of the world's forests and other ecosystems as we can.
But to assert that the entire climate crisis is simply a myth? Ice is not melting, nothing to see here folks, no disruption of the atmosphere by human burning of carbon, just natural fluctuations? The author of the article you post is nuts.
webwalk:
you want to stick with the scietists do ya - talk about not knowing what you are talking about - here's 30,000 of them
how about 30,000 scientists who have signed a petition against the notion of man made climate change
"The claim that the debate about the severity and cause of global warming is "settled science" has taken a beating with the release of the names of 31,072 American scientists who reject the assertion that global warming has reached a crisis stage and is caused by human activity.
"No such consensus or settled science exists," Arthur Robinson, founder and president of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (OISM), told a press conference May 19 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. "As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject" the hypothesis of human-caused global warming.
The institute, a non-profit research organization, first published the names and credentials of about 17,000 scientists in 2001. The current list of 31,072 Americans with college degrees in science includes 9,021 with Ph.D. degrees in various scientific fields."

you are brainwashed by rockefeller media bro'
go ahead and pay your carbon taxes - right after you take your h1n1 flu shot
the rockefellers want your money
to say there is wide and vast agreement - or a plot - is wrong
who owns both science magazine and nature magazine: guess, their name starts with r
i'm very happy to see you expose yourself so openly.
Let's see, the OISM - whose petition sat on the internet where anyone can sign it, whose signatories can be anyone with any or no relationship to science or climate science, and whose work is refuted and denounced directly by the National Academy of Sciences, which actually does verify the credentials of its scientists unlike those on the OISM petition, etc etc etc.
Let's see, watchdog group Sourcewatch also analyzes the work of OISM and its founder Arthur Robinson, who cites his own "scientific" paper ("published" in the same format with the same typeface as NAS papers, leading to the direct denunciation by the NAS) to back his claims about climate change. Let's look at Robinson's "argument":
*******************
"Robinson's paper claimed to show that pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is actually a good thing. "As atmospheric CO2 increases," it stated, "plant growth rates increase. Also, leaves lose less water as CO2 increases, so that plants are able to grow under drier conditions. Animal life, which depends upon plant life for food, increases proportionally." As a result, Robinson concluded, industrial activities can be counted on to encourage greater species biodiversity and a greener planet:
As coal, oil, and natural gas are used to feed and lift from poverty vast numbers of people across the globe, more CO2 will be released into the atmosphere. This will help to maintain and improve the health, longevity, prosperity, and productivity of all people.
Human activities are believed to be responsible for the rise in CO2 level of the atmosphere. Mankind is moving the carbon in coal, oil, and natural gas from below ground to the atmosphere and surface, where it is available for conversion into living things. We are living in an increasingly lush environment of plants and animals as a result of the CO2 increase. Our children will enjoy an Earth with far more plant and animal life as [sic] that with which we now are blessed. This is a wonderful and unexpected gift from the Industrial Revolution."
*******************
Notice the extensive documentation and field research that supports Robinson's claims about the inevitable future positive impacts from climate change - NOT.
Oh look, he also sells a kit on home-schooling to return good Christian families to "the days before socialism in education." OISM published another wonderful book on the myths of nuclear war, asserting that if you just got ten feet of earth between you and the aftermath of the blast you would be fine.
Better and better, the OISM lists 8 "faculty" for their "school" that has no classrooms and offers no courses, and two of the faculty listed are deceased, and three of them are Robinson and two of his sons.
Let's see, Nature Magazine, from MacMillan Publishers - "The Macmillan group is owned by Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck GmbH, a large German- based company with interests which include book, magazine and newspaper publishing, television, radio and other new media." Clearly Nature Magazine will only publish fake science that conforms to the interests of the Malthusian Rockefellers who control EVERYTHING...
Science Magazine, published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, whose name clearly starts with r... and again, obviously, only a dupe or a member of the elite conspiracy would ever believe anything published in such a disreputable rag of pseudo-science as Science Magazine...
Oh yeah, and you're the one who insists the space program is a hoax and the moon landings never happened. You are brainwashed by SOMEONE bro. Rave on, thanks for the laughs, and keep digging my friend, you're sure to reach the bottom of that hole sometime...
Let me just emphasize this point lebeau:
Your brilliant argumentation has forever destroyed the credibility of Science Magazine, Nature Magazine, and every professional scientist who ever lets their name be sullied by appearing in such disreputable publications.
Maybe you could lead us to the REPUTABLE scientific publications where your esteemed Arthur Robinson is published?
webwalk - you don't know much about the rockefeller control structure do you
lebeau,
you don't know much about anything do you
All in all,
Excellent WORK lebeau, hijacking this thread from PEOPLE TAKING ACTION into stupid drivel...
By the way, you lied in your WWF quote. You said:
"One organization, the WWF, claimed that the Arctic ice was melting so fast that in eighty years sea-levels would rise by 1.2 meters, creating "floods affecting a quarter of the world." Wow! That’s scary. Goodbye Hamburg, New York, Amsterdam..."
and then you said:
“even if all that sea-ice were to melt, this would no more raise sea-levels than a cube of ice melting in a gin and tonic increases the volume of liquid in the glass.”
which would be true, but the WWF actually said:
"The combination of thawing Arctic sea ice and melting ice sheets in Greenland and West Antarctica was likely to raise global sea levels by about 1.2 meters (four feet) by 2100".
You deliberately omitted the part about ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica. Do you see how disingenuous you are?
"It’s a thinly veiled attempt to misuse climate to argue for a new Malthusian reduction of living standards for the majority of the world while a tiny elite gains more power."
This thinly veiled regressive attempt to coopt a progressive cause is pretty funny. The deniers are getting desperate.
Almost a good article.
Once again it ignores the main cause of the resource depletion, pollution and species extinctions that lead to global warming: lack of humane birth control policies to combat the overpopulation at the root of the problem, and lack of economic democracy, direct and decentralized, to combat the extreme concentration of resources in fewer hands.
ez: there you go with your nazi/rockefeller eugenics disinfo once again
its called eugenics - just remember ez: hitler noted in his book mein kampf how he admired the american eugenics movement
at nuremburg - the united states was cited as a defense by the nazis when they pointed out that the us was the leading eugenics nation in the world and they - the nazis - were funded by the rockefellers
here's a short list:
Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) - his money went to the eugenics movement.
Edward Henry Harriman (1848-1909) made his fortune speculating on the stock market. In 1897, he took over the bankrupt Union Pacific Railroad, and then went on to build a railroad empire in the West. When he died, his wife inherited his money. The following year, she provided $500,000 to found the Eugenics Record Office. The Eugenics Record Office was involved in the forced sterilization campaigns and the anti-immigration laws.
In 1932, the Third International Eugenics Congress was held in New York, at the Museum of Natural History. (The First International Eugenics Congress had been in 1912 in London, and the Second was in New York.) Mrs. E. H. Harriman was among the sponsors, along with Mrs. H. B. DuPont and Dr. J. Harvey Kellogg, among others.
John Davison Rockefeller (1839-1937) made his fortune in the oil industry. He founded Standard Oil, which at one time controlled 95 percent of the oil refining business in the country. The Rockefellers funded the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Germany, when eugenicists were preparing the way ideologically for what eventually became the world's most infamous slaughter, the Nazi holocaust. The Rockefeller Institute supported Alexis Carrel, who advocated the use of gas to get rid of the unwanted. John D. Rockefeller III founded the Population Council. Rockefeller money made Alfred Kinsey's sex research possible.
In the fall of 1993, the Rockefeller Archive Center Newsletter published "The Rockefeller Foundation, the Population Council and the Groundwork for New Population Policies" by John B. Sharpless of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Sharpless had been studying the files of the Rockefeller Foundation (RF), the records of the Population Council, and the personal papers of John D. Rockefeller III. He concluded that "Foundations and individual philanthropists are important in understanding the impressively quick and nearly unanimous change in attitudes and ideas about population that occurred during the 1960s." Such foundations funded the development of contraceptives, but also built the international network of experts who shaped the public debate, who shared "a core body of knowledge and a common mode of discourse" as well as a "shared set of assumptions about how population dynamics worked."
Henry Ford (1863-1947)
For many years, the Ford Foundation supported population control. In the 1970s, Michael Teitelbaum worked quietly on Capitol Hill to shape American population policy (without any public debate or scrutiny); he was supported for part of his career by the Ford Foundation. The foundation's impact on population policy is described at length in John Caldwell's 1986 book, Limiting Population Growth and the Ford Foundation.
John Harvey Kellogg was on the Advisory Council of the American Eugenics Society from the early days. He founded the Race Betterment Foundation, and was a sponsor of three eugenics conferences.
Clarence J. Gamble used part of the fortune made by Procter & Gamble products (including soap) to finance birth control projects for the poor in many parts of the world. He helped to push through legislation in 1937 legalizing birth control in Puerto Rico; the law specified that birth control material was to be distributed by trained eugenicists. He supported birth control distribution in Appalachia and in rural Japan. A leader in Margaret Sanger's Birth Control Federation, he suggested that they set up a "Negro Project," using black clergy and physicians to promote birth control. He founded the Pathfinder Fund, to promote population control around the world.
In 1930 in New York, many of the wealthiest people in the world were members of the American Eugenics Society. They did not all provide funds for major eugenics initiatives, but their support certainly opened doors. It does not hurt an organization financially if its membership includes:
J. P. Morgan, Jr., chairman, U. S. Steel, who handled British contracts in the United States for food and munitions during World War I;
Mrs. Mary Duke Biddle, tobacco fortune heiress;
Cleveland H. and Cleveland E. Dodge and their wives, who used some of the huge fortune that Phelps Dodge & Company made on copper mines and other metals to support eugenics;
Robert Garrett, whose family had amassed a fortune through banking in Maryland and the B&O railroad, who helped finance two international eugenics congresses;
Miss E. B. Scripps, whose wealth came from United Press (later UPI);
Dorothy H. Brush, Planned Parenthood activist, whose wealth came from Charles Francis Brush (1849-1929), who invented the arc lamp for street lights and founded the Brush Electric Company;
Margaret Sanger, who used the wealth of one of one of her husbands, Noah Slee, to promote her work. Slee made his fortune from the familiar household product, 3-in-One O
the nazis killed jews, commies, slavs, russians
the american nazis sterilize against their will women of color both here at home and abroad
All of which clearly proves that human population on Earth has no limits, and ANYONE who suggests that 7,000,000,000 humans is NOT SUSTAINABLE within the Earth's natural systems can ONLY BE a racist NAZI eugenicist.
So let me see, would 14,000,000,000 be overpopulation?
How about 21,000,000,000? 35,000,000,000?
Since we have never witnessed the crash of human population, THEREFORE WE NEVER WILL, and since people in the past have mistakenly believed we were overshooting the carrying capacity of the Earth, therefore ANYONE WHO EVER SUGGESTS THIS AGAIN will always be mistaken, and must only be driven by racism, NAZIism, and hatred. Ipso facto, forthwith, forthright, left at the light, around the bend, see ya pal.
Brilliant argumentation as always, my friend.
web: i'm just pointing out your community to you
shoulder to shoulder you stand with the racist american nazis and the german ones (many of whom found refuge in the us after the war)
how many indeed can the word handle
right now we use 55% of the world's resources - we are 5% of the population
get rid of us and half the problem is gone
further in the us - 1% of the population "owns" 90% of the wealth
Under the umbrella of "climate change' all serious concern about playing God with the earth’s flora (and Fauna) can be thrown aside without a second thought it seems. Rockefeller Foundation representative Gary H. Toenniessen stated during a conference in his lecture "Opportunities for and challenges to Plant Biotechnology Adoption in Developing Countries':
"Public acceptance of transgenic crops and genetically modified (GM) food, or rather, lack thereof, is a major constraint to the adoption of plant biotechnology, particularly in Europe. (...) Orchestrated campaigns against GM foods have consequently found a receptive audience amongst urban consumers. The situation in developing countries may well be different', he adds slyly.
This same opinion is being conveyed in a 2005 "strategic review of the organisation (the Rockefeller Foundation), wherein several "challenges' are brought forward that might stand in the way of the next level of globalisation that the Foundation has mapped out for all of us, one of these being 'resistance to the development and use of genetically modified foods'.
Here comes into play the promotion of ‘global warming’. By claiming global warming will affect all nations and all peoples, and coupling the supposed climate hazard to the necessity of GM-crops lest the third world starve and die by the lack of it, the different pieces of this diabolical puzzle come together. The spectre of global climate change hangs over the world food situation, they claim, and the anticipated resistance might well be lessened if the people are adequately bamboozled into accepting the Foundation’s genetically modified foods program for fear of a vengeful God raining his wrath onto their heads. If the globalists would lie to lure the people into accepting GM foods, they would certainly not think twice about lying about the motives behind the development of these foods for mass production."
A total population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.’ – Ted Turner to Audubon Magazine, 1996
gmo's, population "bomb", control the oil, control the food
hello mr rockefeller
Thanks for the distraction lebeau.
Meanwhile, the Mobilization for Climate Justice is calling on people everywhere to join in supporting direct action campaigns to move the public dialog and shift the range of the possible.
And they are calling on this movement to be founded in JUSTICE, not in "liberal environmentalism", with particular attention to voices and needs and solutions that come from marginalized, working class and poor people, indigenous people, and women.
Doubtless the focus on justice is just a cover for the murder of millions of marginalized people...
webwalk: if you are talking about prosecuting the corporations and the officers of same who have polluted the world i'm totally for it
i stopped driving a car, i recycle, i take public transport, i support green, i want to clean up the world - all of that
i don't want the un - rockefeller inc. as its known to be cashing in on taxes on the citizens for simply living in this world
the un also supports forced sterilization of poor women
they support gmo's
they conduct illegal wars
conceived and paid for by the rockefellers - they even donated the land on which it sits (and took a tax break for it)
the previous hegemony - the brits - wanted the league of nations - to support their hegemony
if you know anything about the history of oil you will know that the brits clued into the importance of oil even before we did
a big reason they fought the first ww was to retain their hegemony and to prevent the germans from building the berlin to baghdad railroad - not unlike our presence in iraq today
interestingly, the last bit of geography between germany and baghdad to establish right of ways was serbia - where i am sure you know duke ferdinand was assassinated by serbian nationalists - he was in line to ascend to the throne of the austrio-hungarian empire which was all but dead
the austrians attacked the serbs and were repelled - trounced - leaving the kaiser, right off the bat in the war, with the unfortunate realization he was on his own
i digress
if you look at obama's budget as proposed right now he aims to collect almost 700 billion in tax from us to "combat" global warming
the tax write offs for the rockefellers essentially through credit swaps, like the bank bailout shit, is in the trillions
i am simply suggesting the science on this issue is not as closed as you think
squeeze the rockefeller out of your brain bro'
"squeeze the rockefeller out of your brain bro'"
you are sad
Anyone who enjoys reading F. William Engdahl won't want to miss his recent article on this subject: "Global Warming or Global Freezing..."

Food for thought!
Well, no, food for non-thought actually.
