Interior Agency Needs to Dig Deeper on Reforms

WASHINGTON

"If Interior is serious about reforming the agency, it needs to
correct decades of bad habits," said Danielle Brian, executive director
of the Project On Government Oversight (POGO).

Ms. Brian will be testifying today before the House Committee on
Oversight and Government Reform on Examination of The Department of the
Interior's Oversight of Offshore Oil Drilling.

"The Interior Department's reorganization needs to dig a lot deeper
than they currently have planned. This is not the sort of thing you can
just put a new cap on and be done with," stated Brian.
