Clinton Urges Israel to Make Difficult Choices for Peace, Promises 'Rock Solid' Support
WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Israel on Monday to make "difficult but necessary choices" for Middle East peace but promised her "rock solid" support for its security.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton addresses the American Israel Public Affairs Committee annual policy conference in Washington, March 22, 2010. Last week the influential pro-Israel lobbying group (AIPAC) released a statement that called on the White House to take immediate steps to defuse tension with Israel over a settlement dispute. (REUTERS/Jonathan Ernst) In an address to be delivered later in the day to the annual policy conference in Washington of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Clinton pledged that the United States would not "compromise its commitment" to prevent Israel's archfoe Iran getting a nuclear bomb.
But, according to advance excerpts of her speech, she also cautioned that a new round of UN sanctions would take time.
Clinton's speech had been keenly awaited as it comes amid one of the most difficult periods in years in US-Israeli relations as President Barack Obama's administration struggles to revive Middle East peace talks in the face of Israel's continued expansion of settlements on occupied Palestinian land.
During the day, Clinton was due to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was in Washington to deliver his own address to the key pro-Israel lobby ahead of White House talks on Tuesday.
Netanyahu has been defiant over his rightwing-led government's plans to expand Jewish settlements in annexed Arab east Jerusalem, which were announced during a visit by US Vice President Joe Biden in a way Clinton described as "insulting."
The US chief diplomat intended to "directly address the settlement issue of last week" in her talks with the Israeli prime minister, an aide said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
But US-based analysts said they doubted Netanyahu would back down on the plans because any U-turn would spell the collapse of his governing coalition -- meaning the Obama administration would likely lose face again.
The settlement expansion plans have threatened to scupper a hard-won Palestinian agreement to enter US-brokered indirect peace negotiations as a compromise on its refusal to resume direct talks without a complete freeze on all settlement construction.
US Middle East envoy met Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in the Jordanian capital Amman on Monday in a bid to rescue the so-called proximity talks.
Mitchell said he had a "good, positive, productive" meeting on ways to start the talks at "the earliest possible time."
He said he hoped the talks would proceed "in a manner which we hope will lead to direct negotiations and an agreement that starts the process of comprehensive peace in the Middle East."
Clinton in her draft speech to the AIPAC said the path to peace "requires all parties -- including Israel -- to make difficult but necessary choices."
"The status quo is unsustainable for all sides. It promises only more violence and unrealized aspirations," she said.
Clinton promised that the drive for peace would not in any way compromise Washington's commitment to the security the Jewish state, amid mounting concern in Israel at the failure of diplomatic efforts to rein in Iran's controversial nuclear program.
"For President Obama, for me, and for this entire administration, our commitment to Israels security and Israels future is rock solid.
"Guaranteeing Israels security is more than a policy position for me. It is a personal commitment that will never waver," she said.
"In addition to threatening Israel, a nuclear-armed Iran would embolden its terrorist clientele and would spark an arms race that could destabilize the region. This is unacceptable.
"So let me be very clear -- the United States is determined to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons."
Clinton said that Washington was determined to secure agreement at the UN Security Council for a fourth round of sanctions that would show Iran's leaders that "the only choice is to live up to their international obligations."
"Our aim is not incremental sanctions, but sanctions that will bite. It is taking time to produce these sanctions, and we believe that time is a worthwhile investment for winning the broadest possible support for our efforts."
US efforts to push through a fourth set of sanctions have run into opposition from China, a veto-wielding permanent member of the Security Council with growing trade ties with Iran.
Iran rejects Western suspicions that its nuclear program is cover for a drive for a bomb, insisting its only interests are power generation and medical research.
Israel currently has the Middle East's sole if undeclared nuclear arsenal.

Show AllAnd how exactly would a nuclear armed Iran threaten Israel which is known to have at least a few hundred warheads? How many countries has Iran attacked and how many countries has Israel attacked? Who should be afraid of who in this equation? I would think that it is Iran who is threatened here and I don't blame them for attempting to acquire nuclear weapons.
cedross: "And how exactly would a nuclear armed Iran threaten Israel which is known to have at least a few hundred warheads?"
Iran is under the control of religious fanatics, once they'll have nukes, (and the means to deliver them) they may click on the red button because they believe it would hasten the arrival of the hidden Imam, and be rewarded with a free ticket to heaven.
This is why the MAD (Mutual Assurance Destruction) principle may not work with the current Iranian leadership.

cedross: "How many countries has Iran attacked and how many countries has Israel attacked?"
Iranian missile units (Revolutionary Gaurd units stationed in Lebanon) attacked Israel in 2006.
Iran also attacked Argentina in 1994.
Iran is also financing terrorist organizations (such as the Hamas and the Hizballah) dedicated to the destruction of Israel, so you can add to the above list - additional attacks by proxy.

Note: The Iranian leadership doesn't represent the Iranian people. Whenever I said "Iran," I meant the Iranian leadership and NOT the Iranian people.
Stop your lying, nobody's buying.

Signes of the Mahdi (Hidden Imam, according to Shi'a)
1. Before his coming will come the red death and the white death. The red death is the sword and the white death is plague.
2. Several figures will appear: the one-eyed Dajjal, the Sufyani and the Yamani.
3. The Muslims will throw off the reins and take possession of their land, throwing out the authority of the foreigners.
4. There will be a great conflict in the land of Syria (Israel is considered part of Greater Syria) until it is destroyed.
5. Death and fear will afflict the people of Baghdad and Iraq. A fire will appear in the sky and a redness will cover them.

Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps casualties
Some media outlets citing Lebanese sources reported that the bodies of as many as nine Iranian Revolutionary Guard soldiers killed in the fighting were transported to Syria for burial in Iran.[185][186] Aviation Week reported that papers recovered from the bodies of soldiers killed in Southern Lebanon on Aug. 9 identified them as members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards.[187] Defense analyst Ben Moores stated that Iranian Revolutionary Guardsmen were among the 600 to 900 anti-Israeli fighters killed during the conflict.

The 1992 Israeli Embassy attack in Buenos Aires and the 1994 AMIA Bombing also in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for which the Argentinian government issued an arrest warrant for Imad Mugniyah of Hezbollah, have been linked to Iran. According to Robert Baer, Mugniyah was an IRGC operative, and close ties between IRGC and Hezbollah are described elsewhere in this article. According to Jeffery Goldberg, writing in the New Yorker, "It is believed that Mugniyah takes orders from the office of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, but that he reports to a man named Ghassem Soleimani, the chief of a branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps called Al Quds, or the Jerusalem Force—the arm of the Iranian government responsible for sponsoring terror attacks on Israeli targets.
During the 2006 Lebanon War, the IRGC played a key role. Revolutionary Guards directed the firing of a missile on the Israeli Naval vessel INS Hanit, which killed four sailors. Revolutionary Guards also assisted Hezbollah in the firing of rockets into Israel. During the war, several Iranian Revolutionary Guards were reportedly killed by Israeli forces in Baalbek, a town close to the Syrian border.

Stop quoting bad poets, zio-planted "captured documents," megaphony diatribes, fantasies of Bob Baer . . . or whatever other "proof" that proves nothing.
It's over. The zio is finished.

Don't expect an honest answer from him. In fact, don't expect anything from him since he doesn't know what he's talking about in the first place.

Oh Wetto Wetto Wetto, what would my spam filter do without you?
Does little Wetto know that Israel's own defense minister and former director of the mossad have said that Iran does not pose an existential threat?
NO?
Well, perhaps Wetto would like to read reliable news from Israel instead of regurgitating Wikipedia crap aimed at the ignorant English speaker. Don't you think that would be more productive, little Wetto?
For anyone looking for a meaningful and thorough understanding of what is going on between Iran, Israel and the Palestinians in the occupied territories, head on over to mondoweiss.net
Iran has never attacked any country and has never threatened to attack any county. Not in 400 years of history. Compare this to Israel's religous fanataics who reguarly commit terrorist bombings and invasions of its neighbors. Israel is the country that need to be contained. It would be nice to think tha MAD might contain them, but unfortunately they are running aroung crazy like, and no one is contianing them.
As for Hizbollah defence of Lebanon in 2006. OMG How rediculous!! Hizbollah exists for exactly that. To repel Israeli invasions and to overthrow Israeli occupations. They have been successful and they need all the support that any country can give them in order to continue to do that. To refer to Hibollah and its defence of Lebanon as "terrorism" is thoroughly dishonest.
Note: When I refer to Isreal as the words worst terrorist organisation, I am not referring to those Israeli people that have the courage to tell their government to stop obviously.
braithwa842: "Iran has never attacked any country and has never threatened to attack any county. Not in 400 years of history."
Iran attacked Israel in 2006. And Argentina in 1992 and again in 1994.
braithwa842: "As for Hizbollah defence of Lebanon in 2006. OMG How rediculous!! Hizbollah exists for exactly that. To repel Israeli invasions and to overthrow Israeli occupations."
OMG How rediculous - The Hizbollah protect lebanon????? The Hizbollah started the 2006 Lebanon war. They initiated a war which brought death and destruction upon Lebanon. Is that what you call "defance"?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Lebanon_War
"The conflict began when Hezbollah militants fired rockets at Israeli border towns as a diversion for an anti-tank missile attack on two armored Humvees patrolling the Israeli side of the border fence. Of the seven Israeli soldiers in the two jeeps, two were wounded, five were killed, and two soldiers were taken to Lebanon"
Netanyahu will just spit on Clinton too. Hey, she may even get Benjie's size 12 shoe in the face.
Given Zion-Joe Biden's insipid response to the "warm" Israeli welcome last week, Clinton should have shown some cojones and canceled her AIPAC speech.
Clinton assumes that Israel really wants a VIABLE two state solution. If they don't why are we sending them billions to pay for their war against Palestinians. BOTH Israel and the Palestinians deserve peace and mutual respect. Apartheid can't last. Ask Mandela.
What a crock. We give Israel billions to MAINTAIN a war pressure on the Middle East, so we can justify Boeing/NorthrupGrumman/Lockheed/XE/GE/ETCETERA going in to make billions and slaughter thousands of civilians and a few collateral damaged American children.
Can anyone spell INSANE? USA Democrats and Republicans all...American public aka taxpaying morons...media buffoons...
when they come for you will you know what to do? Oh wait, they already have. They have poisoned your food, water, and air, and spread DU throughout the world. And yet you don't want to stop them by refusing to pay your taxes cause yer afraid...whaaaaaa
Today Palestine, tomorrow the world. Think I'm wrong? You should have the fear of God in you over this one.
Why coat it by saying 'difficult'. What's difficult about not stealing Palestinian land? What's difficult about not killing innocent civilians in a greatly disproportionate manner that is outlawed by the United Nations? What is difficult about ended a blockade of Gaza that deprives Gazans of food, electricity, medical supplies and the right to work?
Come on Hillary. First, what the hell are you speaking at AIPAC for - they are the vanguard for the totalitarian regime in the Knesset right now.
First, a healthcare reform bill that dosen't reform anything, then a don't ask don't tell 'request' to the military to end it after a year of thinking about it, and now kowtowing to the worst reason for having K Street lobbyists that exist in America.
Maybe it's time to move to Canada.
Peace negotiations?
Peace is an amorphous term and talking point that M$M accepts without question. The US/Israeli call for peace negotiations is a call for acquiecense on the part of Palestinians. What else is to negotiate or compromise on if, with US support, Israel refuses to stop stealing land from the Palestinians and they are more and more confined to open air prisons? All that is being discussed are the conditions of the open air prisons, ie., the use of US trained Palestinians as guards, the exact borders for each prison, what may or may not be allowed into the prisons (food, water...), and how much Israel continues to control the doors to the prisons (import/export restrictions, travel restrictions, air and movement restrictions). M$M refuses to question what the negotiations can possibly accomplish with the US/Israel continued ethnic cleansing policies.
What is this thing called peace?
See "Peace is not Shalom and Shalom is not Sharon", by Gilad Atzmon

To preempt apologists' comments on CD of the US/Israel policy of ethnic cleansing Palestinians, I'll post the following so I don't need to respond to their comments.
Apologists' tactics in regards to the US/Israel policy of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians:
1 – Attack the messenger (CD poster or whoever criticizes the US/Israel's ethnic cleansing)
2 – If the critic is a Jew, call the Jew anti-semetic or a self-hating Jew
3 – Make it sound like Israel is the victim although Israel is the aggressor and occupier
4 – Point to other injustices in the world to deflect attention of Israel's illegal acts.
5 – State that Jews and Palestinians have a long history of conflict therefore the situation is unresolvable (ignoring Israel's illegal occupation) in order to maintain status quo and further Israel's expansion of illegal settlements
6 – Claim Israel has biblical rights to Palestinian land (thus God supports the ethnic cleansing)
7 – Claim the occupied territory was either no man's land or another countries land to justify Israel's illegal confiscation of the land and the people on it.
8 – Defend the occupation and ethnic cleansing without mentioning the illegal acts: land confiscation, house demolitions and evictions, burning and razing of Palestinian farmland, illegal land annexations, specific apartheid policies in the West Bank, shooting and arrests of non-violent demonstrators on occupied land, restriction of movement, land and sea blockade, restrictions of imports of medicine, food, school supplies and building materials, illegal shooting of Gazan farmers and fishermen...
9 – Make so illegitimate arguments or use inaccurate/misleading facts to justify Israel's illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing policy that it is impossible to respond to them all because every time you try, another illegitimate argument is made. (The Bush administration was a master of this in the buildup to the Iraq war. It seemed every week, another piece of unsupported evidence was made to support attacking Iraq. And every time you challenged one illegitimate argument, the arguer (usually a Fox News viewer) would abandon that argument and jump to the next illegitimate argument and this would continue to the point of exhaustion.)
10 – Switch between tactics 1-9 above in your non-stop argument whenever one of the tactics runs out of steam.
11 – In regards to blogging, create discussion fights and go off topic.
12 – In regards to blogging, apologist is either ignorant or feigns ignorance and attempts to attack the credibility of the comment by asking for a link to the source (effort to waste time of blogger when information is readily available on the internet and the apologist doesn't provide support for his own misinformation). If you don't respond, e.g., because you don't monitor the site all day, apologist discounts your argument, and if you respond, the apologist changes the subject, makes a new attack, or ignores the response.
Apologists use tools such as Megaphone Desktop (www.giyus.org) to alert themselves when articles about Israel's destructive policies appear on the internet so they can use tactics like the above to try and win public opinion.
"In addition to threatening Israel, a nuclear-armed Iran would embolden its terrorist clientele and would spark an arms race that could destabilize the region. This is unacceptable."
This pretend tiff between the US and Israel has started to look more than silly. Nobody doubts which Middle Eastern country possesses and would use nuclear weapons, and which country is the destablizer and the cause of any arms race.
America does not want a 2 state solution but a One and a Half state solution. The half state of Palestine to be a client state under the control of a bought and paid for Fatah; a divided and fractured weak state unable to defend itself and eventually totally dependent on both Israel and the USA.
While Israel is happy to go on "talking" about talks about a 2 state solution until the end of the 3rd world war which it will likely start and blame on Iran or until hell freezes over. I have no doubt which will come first. But in fact Israel clearly has no intention to accommodate any Palestinian state on what it considers its God given lands, which it believes start somewhere in Iraq and include Syria, Jordan and Lebanon.
The fact that the USA accepts the impasse, accepts a nuclear armed rouge state, accepts the apartheid regime, the colonization in illegally occupied territories, the defiance of UNSC resolutions, the war crimes, the siege of Gaza, the imprisonment of Hamas politicians, etc.... is clear evidence of their complicity and conspiratorial support. What this Zionist US foreign secretary, and the Zionist vice president reflect when they say that not even light can come between the US and Israel in terms of their closeness on defence is in fact the closeness of these terms including their policies as well.
The USA is an equal partner in the project of this Zionist, racist, terrorist, rouge state that it has spawned and is committed to defend. No sacrifice is too great? I can see this tail wagging its dog into the path of the oncoming train of events that the tail built and that is running on time.
Then again it is also true that America and Israel have shared interests and values. America's view of the world is no different to Israel’s when it comes to domination, occupation and hegemony.
"Rock solid support" for Israel is why there is no peace and justice.
In this case we get what we pay for.
Shalom
This is absurd. Let Notlisteningtoyoutoo come here and insult us on our own shore and spit in our face?
Control tower to Israel 1: "You are not cleared to land, you must alter your flight plans or return to your point of origin."
Myself, I have no illusions. Iran is desperately working towards a bomb. Wouldn't you?
Israeli leadership couldn't give one little crap about world opinion. If their friends don't really and actually tighten the screws, then their friends have failed them and this tiny nation will continue to hold the rest of the world hostage.
Clinton is right.
Dealing with the nuclearization of the Middle-East and the risk of a nuclear exchange and potentially a nuclear holocaust - is far more important than a construction project on a disputed land (which does not hurt any individual).
How about if I build my next house on your property, and we'll see how that does not hurt you.
First, I'll have to show an official written document that proves it's my property and not yours. (And until such proof is provided, this is a disputed property.)
Even so, the risk of a nuclear exchange is still far more serious than the house you're building on a property that I believe is mine.
Rightful ownership of Palestine (and yes, pieces of paper) certainly did not stop the Jews from stealing Palestine. And yes, they are hurting real bad. And yes we need to remove Israels nukes.
Are you saying that Palestinians have papers that prove that the Jewsih Quarter in Jerusalem is owned by Palestinians? And what about Ramat Shlomo?
I agree with you that Israel should be disarmed of nukes. But that doesn't mean that Iran should be allowed to have nukes.
MAD worked for the US/USSR. Why not the ME?
Good fences make good neighbors.
While Washington is working the UN Security Council: there are some resolutions involving Israel. Could they be discussed again? This circus has been going on for as long as most people can remember, all thanks to the US of A. Injustice = injustice, no matter who's responsible. No nation on the planet can get away with crimes like Israel, while other countries have been punished.
What Binding UN Security Council resolutions were violated by Israel?
Beware, many a Palestinean child has been shot dead for showing their 'Solid Rock' Support •••
I agree that Israel has to make hard decisions to come to a peace treaty with the Palestinians. I am of the same mind that the Palestinians must make some hard decisions in coming to the same agreement.
I do not think some construction projects should have bothered the U.S. Israel relations as, if necessary, bulldozers are available in Israel and could be part of the final accord.
I believe that no agreement should be reached unless both parties give equally toward a solution.
Read Me: http://TheHarvView.blogspot.com
I looked through your blog in the hope that you had expounded more profoundly on your thoughts in some form there but I found that in this year at least the suffering of the Palestinian people, the blockade and siege of Gaza, the apartheid, the illegal occupation, the colonization and ethnic cleansing in occupied territories, the forced evacuation of families from their homes in East Jerusalem; none of this has moved you to a single word of appreciation of the gross injustice being foisted upon the Palestinian people… People who were not asked if they wanted to be hosts to hordes of European Jews, people who were terrorized and expelled from their lands, people who are being killed to this very day by a lying terrorist state.
So please elaborate why the Palestinian people should “give equally toward a solution” since they are not the cause of any problem. The Palestinians breaking no international laws. They are not occupying Israeli territory. Is it not about time they received some justice and compensation for the intolerable situation they have been put into for the past 60 years by the Zionists and their American sponsors in crime whom you seem to think have some legitimate justifacation for their policies of ethnic cleansing and colonization?
Ethnic cleansing occurred by both sides. As the result of Israel's war of independence, 700,000 Palestinians become refugees, and 850,000 Jews, who lived in Arab countries, also become refugees. (Leaving behind more properties and land than the Palestinian refugees.)
So you see, no one is a saint. (At most, you can say that the Palestinians are the underdog.)
To have a successful peace agreement, you should strive for an agreement that will make the situation of both Israelis and Palestinians better than what it is today. If you, Lucitanian, stick to one side's narrative. If you insist on turning the clock back to exactly the time that suite you best (Weather it is the 19th century (As fatah wants), the 8th century (As the Hamas wants), or the 10 century BC (As some Jewish fundamentalists wants))- the agreement will fail.
Israelis and Palestinians must negotiate a win-win peace.
Take your propaganda bull and shove it where the sun.... I will make an exception to answer your crap just this time, to say that if the Zionists had not conducted a false flag attack on a Jewish caffe in Baghdad which was documented by a Zionist agent there might not have been the so called riots in 1941 which were provoked and orchestrated by the Jewish underground to convince the Jewish population who were both wealthy and well integrated in Iraq, that they were threatened and better off to migrate to Israel. This is just another example of Zionist use of terrorism even against their own people to achieve there ends.
I suggest you read "The Jews of Iraq", by Naeim Giladi, or in his book, "Ben Gurion's Scandals: How the Haganah & the Mossad Eliminated Jews", where Giladi an agent for the Zionist underground discusses the crimes committed by Zionists in their frenzy to import raw Jewish labour. Newly-vacated farmlands had to be ploughed to provide food for the immigrants and the military ranks had to be filled with conscripts to defend the stolen lands.
No, lets just turn the clock to any point in time when we have not got one of your lot continuing to puke Zionist propaganda, bend history and propagate lies to support Zionist myths and crimes. True, no one is a saint but that is no excuse for a criminal organization that just cannot help continuing on their carrier of crime and terror. From a myth built on lies by racists and gansters, through Nazi Jewish youth camps, trained terrorists and assassins massacring local Palestinians in a budding state, to present day general state terror, war crimes, and clandestine WMD, a clear and direct lineage called Zionism. Israel, a criminal enterprise, continues to manipulate the favours of American and any other power elite to provide backing and cover for its ongoing criminal endeavour.
Although I have seen that you have no shame, and will rise to the defence of that criminal enterprise at any and every turn but just remember what Ban Ki Moon said yesterday, and let it sink in to your brain:
"All settlement activity is illegal"
Know that, if you know nothing else!
Let me get that right: - Are you saying that the reason the Arab world (Iraq, Egypt, Syria, lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Yeman, etc.) become empty of Jews and that communities that existed for 2600 years become extinct, is ONLY because a few left wing Zionists perhaps planted a couple of bombs in Bagdad?
---
Ban Ki Moon said that "All settlement activity is illegal".
Did you know that Jews lived in the West Bank until 1948? (Until they were ethnically cleansed by the Arabs.)
Why is it illegal for a Jew to live in the Jewish quarter in Jerusalem? Is it because it was clean of Jews for 19 years? (between 1948-1967)
Correct. Both sides need to stop, take blame, forgive and move on peacefully. Palestinians need to stop lobbing rockets into Israel and Israelis need to stop slaughtering Palestinian women and children so that they can steal more land.
Look it is obvious to me if not to you that these rockets are fired always very conveniently to provide Israel with excuses to punish Hamas and the people of Gaza for being governed by Hamas. The responsibility is regularly claimed by spurious organizations, such as the latest said to have "connections" to Al Qaeda no less (Al Qaeda having its origin and address in Langley). In any case these are at best Hamas detractors from fringe groups of Fatah, but much more likely and most probably at the same time under the implanted control of Israel.
Certainly Israel and any country or border has innumerable ways of neutralizing and defending itself from such minor military threats which amount to delinquency, especially if it is organizing it itself, which fall short of punitive bombing raids on civilians.
I don't really see how you can compare on any equality multiple F16 raids with 500 lb bombs to an occasional mortar rocket, which in most cases prove not much more effective than a fire cracker, and even those appear fired most likely as a false flag excuse for repeated Israeli punishment.
There is no war, there is no equality. America is providing Israel with sophisticated modern weapons to kill Palestinians with and they should stop. Palestine and the Palestinians have nothing to apologise for. Sorry, you are trying to be fair and balanced in a situation that has no balance and you are wrong to try. If you want peace stop Israelis occupying Palestinian land and stop killing Palestinians, as Americans, as Zionists, as Christians or as Israelis, and deal with the crimes and injustices handed out to the Palestine people over 60 years.
Don't be such a Homer. Those rockets still kill innocent people.
This may be David vs. Goliath (although that never happened), but if David is killing your family members to get to Goliath then it is still wrong.
You don't get it do you? Or is it more that you just don’t want to get it? Things are not always as simple as they seem to be. It is not David launching the rockets. Yes to you it may looks like David (they all look the same right?), and you trust it is when Goliath says it is David, but in fact, Goliath paid one of David's cousins, who does not get on with David or his family much, to kick some sand in Goliath’s own face so as to justify Goliath's punishment of David and all his family. (For David read Hamas who are duly elected but won’t do as they are told by Israel or America, so they are terrorists)
You see Jews and Palestinians look much alike. Infiltration to militia groups is not too difficult for Mossad or Shin Beth. Then there is bribery, corruption, and of course blackmail to create any number of assets and agents inside Palestinian militia organizations. Israel has many ways to launch a rocket from Gaza. Did you not think it was strange that a few rockets were fired after Hamas declared a cease fire in 08, rockets that were used as the cause of Israel’s retaliation which killed 1,400 civilians and administrative workers?
It is easy for Israel to say Hamas is responsible but this is what Hamas said on 20/03/10:
Dr. Mahmoud al-Zahar on Saturday night slammed the Palestinian groups firing rockets at Israel. Zahar told the Iranian al-Alam television station that the rocket fire was a “suspicious action aimed at allowing the enemy to gain points in its favor in the public opinion and divert the attention from its crimes in the territories.”
According to Zahar, “The enemy wants to portray itself as defending itself against the rocket fire while being criticized by the Quartet. We are aware of the fact that there are elements wishing to help the enemy divert the attention from what is happening in Jerusalem.
“We are closely following those firing the rockets and are aware of the real motives behind the fire,” Zahar said, implying that the groups’ main goal was to undermine Hamas’ rule in the Gaza Strip.

And if Goliath is causing the death of Goliath family members, by using David's cousin in order to frame David, it cannot be even more wrong. But, we'll never know will we?
According to history, the CIA concluded that Israel had successfully started production of nu-clear weapons in 1968, and it was Israel who threatened Iran for the 8 years years Bush was president. Having said that, they also do not intend a peaceful agreement with the Palestinians but would rather nuke them as well. It was the man Moses who set out to acquire land for his people, and it was Moses who said God promised it to the Jews. I don't suppose GOD allows stealing from another??? From what I have read, the Jews tried to force their beliefs on the Egyptians, and were force out, to wander upon Palestine. They came, they saw, and decided to conquer. The US as well as other countries felt pity because of the Holocaust, and have allowed them to do what they please, sending our tax money, and more weapons that they may very well use against us. Will a catastrophe occur to BLAME Iran, and force us into another war to please Israel? Chaney has been talking about another 9/11 since before Bush left office, and wonder who is brewing what in the pot??
There is going to be a war against Iran soon. We all know it. And as Iran is no push-over I believe that Israel will be using nuclear weapons. There will be some sort of black op that will justify it in the minds of the sheeple, much like the bombs in Japan. If it could be done back then it can be done now. People are just as stupid now as they were then. We are going to see Isreal us all those weapons on both Palestine and Iran so they can kill two birds with one stone.
The Israel/Palestine conflict is probably the main cause of the 9/11 attack. It started the "terrorism" scare that has paralyzed our country. This conflict presents the greatest danger of causing a global nuclear holocaust. It's time to get out from under Israel.
911 was Israel.

QUOTE:
".......According to history as written by the winner, Zionism, Israel was given its birth certificate and thus legitimacy by the UN Partition Resolution of 29 November 1947. This is propaganda nonsense.
In the first place the UN without the consent of the majority of the people of Palestine did not have the right to decide to partition Palestine or assign any part of its territory to a minority of alien immigrants in order for them to establish a state of their own.
Despite that, by the narrowest of margins, and only after a rigged vote, the UN General Assembly did pass a resolution to partition Palestine and create two states, one Arab, one Jewish, with Jerusalem not part of either. But the General Assembly resolution was only a proposal – meaning that it could have no effect, would not become policy, unless approved by the Security Council.
The truth is that the General Assembly's partition proposal never went to the Security Council for consideration. Why not? Because the U.S. knew that, if approved, it could only be implemented by force given the extent of Arab and other Muslim opposition to it; and President Truman was not prepared to use force to partition Palestine.
So the partition plan was vitiated (became invalid) and the question of what the hell to do about Palestine – after Britain had made a mess of it and walked away, effectively surrendering to Zionist terrorism – was taken back to the General Assembly for more discussion. The option favored and proposed by the U.S. was temporary UN Trusteeship. It was while the General Assembly was debating what do that Israel unilaterally declared itself to be in existence – actually in defiance of the will of the organized international community, including the Truman administration.
The truth of the time was that the Zionist state, which came into being mainly as a consequence of pre-planned ethnic cleansing, had no right to exist and, more to the point, could have no right to exist UNLESS … Unless it was recognized and legitimized by those who were dispossessed of their land and their rights during the creation of the Zionist state. In international law only the Palestinians could give Israel the legitimacy it craved.
And that legitimacy was the only thing the Zionists could not and cannot take from the Palestinians by force.
No wonder Prime Minister Netanyahu is more than a little concerned on this account.
Israel's leaders have always known the truth summarized above.
It's time for the rest of the world to know it." END QUOTE

nahida: "Illegitimate, Illegitimate, Illegitimate, israel has NO right to exist"
This is the mindset which will ensure war, poverty and death upon your people, nahida. This mentality is the single reason for past present and future wars. People like you, nahida, are the reason why all past peace initiatives had failed. (including the Arab rejection of UN rsolution 181 - which brough on you the Nakba.)
Doing the same thing and expecting different results - is madness.
If you want peace and prosperity for your children, you may want to consider the live and let live approach. Until then - enjoy your suffering.
And in summation, and not wishing to be repetitious. I see no reason why Iran should be restrained from developing nuclear weapons if Israel is allowed to keep theirs. Short and simple.
Of course, the peacekeeping US of A (presently engaged in two wars) could always set an example for the whole lot of them by disposing of our nuclear arsenal but we all know that ain't gonna happen.
Face it, while we profess to be world leaders, we are looking to dominate the world and all these countries are just like pawns on a chess board.
Whoever sits in the oval office, whether it be a Democrat or Republican is our "Bobby Fisher"
While I am by no means pro-communist, I am rather pleased to see that a major power such as China appears reluctant to join in the effort to impose greater sanctions upon Iran.
And let us not forget for a minute, whose financing it is that is keeping the U.S. afloat. I don't see how they can ever have any hopes of being repaid and I would be quite surprised to find that they are even receiving interest on the loan.
An Israeli is a natural enemy of the Arab. It is exactly like the struggle between the snake and the mongoose. It is in the nature of things and nobody can change that.
"An Israeli is a natural enemy...." What rubbish.
Israel has made itself the natural enemy of peace and justice and those are not Arab monopolies. There is nothing NATURAL about the existence of Israel, it is a criminal enterprise yet there are many Arabs and Israelis who have warm personal relationships.
Your statement is an attempted "red herring", most likely to lead away from the subject at hand.
Didn't Richard Nixon once say that US support for the Government of South Vietnam was 'rock solid'?
Why does anyone think that the us support for the state of israel is going to be any more solid than the support given to South Vietnam? Sure, fewer Americans have died over giving this 'rock solid' support to israel. I wonder how much money the us spent in Vietnam, and after you adjust that spending for inflation how much they've spent on israel...
I'm not arguing that Clinton is either more or less honest than Nixon was. I'm just pointing out that us pols have promised 'rock solid' support before, and that rock seemed to be made of sandstone.
I made a comment or two a coupla hours ago, but the reason I have returned here is that I just happened to be watching an interview on Bloomberg TV where Charlie Rose's guest was the Israel ambassador to the U.S.
I can sum it up for you in a nutshell. It's all a pile of crap. This guy couldn't give a straight answer to anything Charlie asked of him.
The Netanyahu government could care less about any kind of a peaceful solution to the Israel/Palestine situation. They will say to the U.S. what they think the U.S. wants to hear.
Let Hillary run about shooting her mouth off about how "rock solid" we are in support of the Israel government and next thing you know they will be goading us into a war with Iran.
A man has no need for three testicles. We do not need to be involved in a third war, but by sucking up to them, as Secretary Clinton is doing (and no doubt Obama will also do during Netanyahu's visit to the U.S.) will find us involved in one and we'll be wondering how it all happened.
OK, now I'm really done and ready for some light-hearted stuff like maybe Dave Letterman or Jimmy Kimmel.

Why should Israel listen to anything the rest of the world has to say when all that comes from the rest of the world is disrespectful garbage? Praise be to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Praise to the God of Moses.
There will never be peace in the Middle East until the Son of God returns. If you want peace then pray the Lord Jesus makes His return soon.
