Left Unity Organizes Post-US Election Public Meeting to Begin Fighting Back Against the Right-wing Tide
In the wake of Trump's disastrous victory, Left Unity and others are organising a public meeting tomorrow in London, to discuss how to combat the rise of right-wing populism both here and elsewhere.
Trump's election has unleashed a tide of racism and reaction in the US in much the same way as the Brexit outcome did here.
Left Unity's National Secretary, Kate Hudson says:
"Trump's victory and the divisive and vicious rhetoric by which he was elected, will give encouragement to the far right across Britain and Europe, emboldening racists, misogynists and homophobes. These are dangerous times, and we must work together to combat this."
Left Unity's meeting will be held on Saturday 12 November from 6pm until 8pm at Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL. Speakers include Kate Hudson, Neil Faulkner, Suresh Grover and Luke Cooper. Everyone is welcome.
