Who Is the FBI Really Trying to Entrap?
Attorney General Eric Holder told hundred of Muslims near San Francisco that the FBI's sting operations penetrating mosques across the country are an essential "tool in uncovering and preventing terror attacks." But of course, most of the FBI's high profile prosecutions for alleged domestic terrorism involve plots that were hatched in almost every detail by paid FBI informants who nurtured the schemes to their pre-planned conclusions. So, in point of fact, the FBI has not been engaged in "uncovering and preventing terrorist attacks," as Eric Holder claims, but rather, it has spent tens of millions of dollars and many thousands of man-hours concocting, financing, and providing training and equipment for crimes purely of its own invention. The FBI -- first under George Bush and then even more aggressively under Barack Obama -- has fabricated the illusion of a wave of terror that did not, for the most part, exist. In doing so, the U.S. government has perpetrated at least two classes of crimes: one, against those it has directly entrapped and prosecuted for crimes conceived and executed by the government, itself; and the second, larger class of crime, conspiracy to deliberately deceive and terrorize the American people, for the purpose of depriving the American people of their civil rights, and to foment a public hysteria that would facilitate the launching of military attacks on other peoples.
These are high crimes, as high as they come, which, in a just world, would warrant many counts of impeachment for both chief executives responsible: presidents Bush and Obama. The irony is, the very atmosphere of hysteria and war fever that the fake terror plots engender among the public, insulates the perpetrators from accountability for their crimes. No wonder the incoming Obama administration shielded the outgoing Bush gang from prosecution. Obama instructed Eric Holder to expand the phony terror racket, not to shut it down. Both presidents' historical legacies are now inextricably tied to a domestic war on terror that is largely a fiction.
The fiction has real victims, including the poor and powerless, largely Black and brown men who were manipulated like puppets in theatrical productions directed by the FBI for purpose of frightening an audience of 300 million Americans. The families of some of these entrapped, involuntary actors in the FBI's fake terror dramas are scheduled to gather at New York University, in Manhattan, on December 16, to devise strategies for seeking justice.
Muslim Americans have been criminalized as a community. In Irvine, California, an FBI operative was so brazen in soliciting recruits for jihad, mosque members got a court restraining order to shut him up. It turns out the informant was paid $177,000 to incite a holy war -- the going rate, apparently, for inventing terror where none has previously existed.
So who is the real target of government entrapment? It could not be the individuals sucked into the FBI vortex, since Eric Holder's men knew they were incapable of independently carrying out the crimes and, therefore, represented no danger to society. No, American society, itself, has been entrapped by the Bush and Obama manipulators. The object is to terrify the American public, so that they will surrender their civil liberties -- possibly the greatest extortion scheme in U.S. history.

I agree...whether the FBI is intimidating peace activists with grand jury appearances or creating/inciting false anti-Muslim terror dramas...it's clear the FBI is undermining our Constitution and needs to reformed.
It's all part of Show Business, same as Niccolò Machiavelli, Joe Stalin and 'Big Brother' did before just to terrorize the public.
Glen Ford has it right--to terrorize other people, the government must first make us feel we are being terrorized by "those" people.

I feel for activists. I feel for those who wish to be activists. There is simply TOO MUCH wrong to gather and protest against. Too many wars. Too many unjust laws. Too much poverty. Too much joblessness. Too many civil rights abuses. Too many human rights abuses. Too much economic injustice. Too much social injustice. Too much crime that is never answered for. Not crime we commit against ourselves but crime committed against us as an open society.
How can we stand against it all when they are organized and stand together, even as criminals, and we do not? Even if we were organized how could we find the time or the voice when the mainstream media works against us too?

Glenn, please respond. Did those guys really board in Israel? If so, then the segment on Amy's show on how it was really set up by the Israilis and Saudi Arabia has some merit. She said it was in pay back for something we did to the Saudi's in 1945. And of course Israel's puppet would go along. Just wow.

But according to the OpEdNews.com article all the aiports, in Nigeria, Amsterdam,and Logan Boston were controlled apropo security by the same israeli company (OLTS) {sp?}.
One factoid that Truthers do not bring up very often is the DN interview with the WTC employee who said his building was closed, a couple of weeks prior 9/11, and had cables (wires) run throughout during the closure.
Next time you see some little shitbag on CommonDreams foaming at the mouth about violently attacking the government and cajoling everyone to get off their asses and make it so, remember that number: $177,000.

The vast majority of Americans have long since lost the ability to smell bull shit even when the feces are smeared on their faces. Salute the flag, on your knees to jesus, praise the benefits of the free market(as if it were somehow free)support the troops, no matter who the kill. These concepts are instilled in the American psyche soon after birth and continue till death. Without blind acceptance to these principles they disolve in the morning light of truth.
I'm not surprised at all that the FBI is behind the majority of these "terror" plots. I've seen it time and time again, with the feds frequently being just as bad if not worse than those they are supposedly protecting us from.
What every community group in this country should do, IMHO, is at the first sign of someone trying to stir up violence, is to turn them into the FBI IMMEDIATELY. In fact, I think they should have meetings where they discuss the possibility of violence, and see who speaks up in agreement or support of it. Anyone who says "I can help" is automatically called in. I am willing to bet that they would end up turning in 100% FBI agents.
Americans, by and large, are not violent people. We don't go around wanting to bomb people or cause major problems, we just want things to go well, honestly, and fairly. We get mad, of course, in this world, being run by the idiots we've got for "leaders", who WOULDN'T get mad. But that doesn't mean that we are stupid enough to think that destroying anything is the way to go. Only those who hate their country would do so, or those whose goal is authoritarian take over of society. THEY would do ANY of what they are trying to get US to do FOR them, so they can look like big saviors.
Those who think people are scum ARE scum. That is why their attitudes about others are so low. They know THEY can't be trusted to be human, so that means no one else can be either. So everyone must pay for their weaknesses. Unfortunately, they don't have the honor to live by the same rules they force on everyone else, so you get W and Cheney, Limbaugh and Hannity, and the rest of the way too rich, way too selfish and greedy right. They know what scum THEY are, and so YOU can't be any better.
The FBI should NEVER be allowed to entrap anyone, and it seems that every time we hear about any of these plots, it's the FBI that are making ANY of it possible. The kid they recently got wanted to quit the plot several times, go get a job and be part of society. The feds talked him out of it. Sounds like they were far more interested in screwing someone than actually protecting anyone. Arlo Guthrie was right, you really DO have to be a special kind of bastard to be an FBI man.

Agreed. However, the topic was the FBI and their entrapping domestics into committing crimes so they can look tough and say they have "solved" a crime. Most of the time, they are facilitating those crimes. And they never go after those in the military doing what their "superiors" tell them to do, so that is a discussion for another topic.
The Sears Tower 7 had no access to weapons, explosives, or anything of the sort and had apparently tried to call the whole thing off but the feds wouldn't let them. They were, by all accounts of people who know them, a bumbling bunch of fools that couldn't do anything right if they had pictorial instructions. With this latest kid in Oregon, they were the ones who provided everything that his weak mind could think up. He wanted to go and get a job, and they told him not to, to go through with this plan. They provided the means, the opportunity, and kept him at it when he wanted out. If they would have just let or even helped the kid get a freaking job, they would have one more PRODUCTIVE citizen instead of a trophy. But I think we know what's really important to them.
I think it is extortion, but isn't there another and perhaps better name for such a scheme; such as, maybe, protection racket?

Since 9/11 no more evidence has been needed to prove the above.
That day alone - if it had been rightly investigated and examined - provides enough information as to the fatuous nature of anything and everything we read about in the MSM and in D.C.
That day alone more than exemplifies the complicit nature of our media - even the "left" media - and how easily jettisoned are the words "truth" and "justice".

That fake terror plot in Portland OR was just another case of what I call 'make - work"... too many gov employees with nothing to do and have to justify their jobs to keep busy. same goes for those > 800,000 intelligence contractors that was reported last July. How are we supposed to know which 'plots' are real or made up? They are crying wolf.
The first items that should have been on everyone's mind on 9/12 should have been:
1. The Reichstag fire in 1932 in Germany . A friend and I actually exchanged that passed each other raising the topic within 1 hour of the 2nd plane.
2. Condy Rice's comments in the 1st version of project for a new american century - PNAC. She stated that the US public would not support the plan unless 'there was a Pearl Harbor-like event'. The attribution to her was removed when she became SecState.

I'd add these other points:
3. A necessary pretext to go after cheap oil.
4. A necessary pretext for upping the ante on production lines meant to feed the beast, i.e. military industrial complex
5. Hiding evidence. The Record of massive amounts of gold traded out of Indonesia (and other lands) by several powerful U.S. banking & elite families conveniently went missing.
6. The joys of dictatorship masked as inverted totalitarianism, and what better way to light its fires than to stoke the embers of fear on so bold a national scale?

Keith Ellison was ambushed by a star and tribune reporter for equating the same thing. He had talked about many important issues in his talk concerning the separation of church and state. At the end of the talk a person asked a question about 911 truth. Ellison suggested that people get together online. That is what sealed it. The Star and Tribune reporter covering the story that day focused just on Keith comparing 911 political aftermaths to Reichstag and there was a firestorm. It happened at a public forum set up by the Atheists for Human Rights. The public forum was designed for the public to attend and not specifically an Atheist audience. It was explained to the Star and Tribune reporter before the forum that the event was a public forum and not a gathering of only atheists.
The Tribune described the event as Ellison addressing a group of Atheists. The fall out was that many atheists steered away from looking at 911 critically. The media wanted to paint them as a fringe group. There was barely any mention of the Separation of Church and state in the article. The papers actions to publish this in the way they did appeared to be a corporate media attempt directed at stifling critical skepticism to the official story and a smear on Atheists. It certainly was one of the first attacks on 911 truthers.
If it is possible for covert operations to infiltrate countries and spend millions dollars in efforts to promote civil wars for the purpose of extracting that countries natural resources, then it is not too far-fetched to wonder if a covert operation could have been done in this instance since so much power was gained by it.
The Libertarian Party platform used to include the need to abolish the FBI but later took it out. Nowadays, you won't hear a peep from progressives or liberals themselves on the need to abolish or to simply reduce its influence. I wonder why. This article ought to have given us a link to voice our opinions by choosing what should be done to the FBI
A. Abolish it.
B. Reform it.
C. Just keep it.
By the way, I have another question but this one is directed towards the site administrator. Is there a cutoff deadline on commenting on articles more than a day old? I know that there are sites that close commenting on articles two weeks or more old which means you can only read them but not post a comment or reply to them. I also am aware that there has been some technical upgrades going on here which meant having to disable commenting temporarily.
I understand that people rarely comment on articles more than two weeks old so I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind closing the commenting on articles very old. But I'm concerned about our ability to comment on articles that are less than a week old and the reason is a lot of us don't always get the time to respond immediately or some of us like to think things out slowly and carefully before merely reacting. Could you kindly let us know if there are any cutoff deadline policies for commenting on articles older than a day? Is the cutoff 2 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, or what ? Thanks.
The US government with its institutions such as the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, etc. is sick. It is incredible how so many mainstream Americans have been sucked into this psychopathic and sociopathic downward sprial with the sick creations of these organizations.

That is a great question. First, the word "security" must be redefined. As it has been mentioned in the past, we have to keep the definition within limits. History has shown that the definition of security would usually mean maintaining defense from within. But when the definition of the word "security" is stretched to include invasion and occupation as part of the definition, then the word has lost its true meaning. Now why has it lost its true meaning? Think of it this way. Before the definition got stretched, we actually did better taking care of our own health, ensuring help and happiness among neighbors, and building a good infrastructure for not only ourselves but for future generations to benefit to help them face and solve their current challenges. Perhaps somewhere along the line, society took it for granted and thought that it was "boring". That would only give cannon fodder to troublemakers who would then cash in on such weaknesses by enticing them into believing that security also meant invading and occupying as a way to fulfill that challenge void. But here's the catch they would never tell people. The price tag for such enticing would be weakening from within. The American people will say enough is enough when they can overcome their weakness of including invasion and occupation as part of the definition of "security". The crumbling of this empire nation will definitely make them immune from being brainwashed into believing the stretched definition of the word "security" for a very long time if not forever.
Not so amazing when you check the ownership of the Main Stream Media. The internet is about to be turned over to the control of Comcast, AT&T, et al. Then Americans will have nowhere to turn in seeking accurate information.

"Entrapment" is a legal term subject to interpretation. We will see...
From what I've read before, the FBI has one too many double standards on who all to go after. There must be a lot of their lists of groups by which to associate guilt with and then groups by which to associate honor and overlooking with. Racial profiling is one of their examples.
