NPS Advisers Resign While Corporate Interests Reign Supreme at DOI

WASHINGTON

Please see below for a statement from Corporate Accountability Campaign Director Lauren DeRusha Florez:

"From opening up our shores to drilling to rescinding common-sense policies like the National Park Service bottled water free policy, Secretary Zinke's top priority seems to be checking every box on the corporate wishlist. Not unlike the rest of the Trump administration, Zinke has filled the Department of Interior with an army of former industry lobbyists and lawyers, and the result is clear: Corporations win and our public lands and environment lose. It's no wonder that the majority of the National Park System Advisory Board have walked away in frustration. This is just the latest in a series of resignations of people who have had enough with this administration's head-in-sand policies when it comes to our environment."

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet.
