Two Ex-Blackwater Staff Charged With Afghan Murders
WASHINGTON - Two former Blackwater employees have been charged with the murder of two Afghans in Kabul last year and could face the death penalty, the Justice Department said Thursday.
Justin Cannon, 27, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Christopher Drotleff, 29, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, have been charged with 13 counts including second-degree murder following the shooting deaths of the two Afghan nationals.
They also were charged with attempted murder, after a third person was wounded in the Kabul incident on May 5, when Cannon and Drotleff were working as contractors for the Department of Defense in Afghanistan.
Both men, who had provided training to the Afghan army in using and maintaining weapons systems, were arrested Thursday after the grand jury indictment, the statement added.

Show AllWhy try them, just drop them off in Kabul and let folks know who they are. Save on all the cost of a trial and execution...
Same thing for the thugs who just handcuffed and murdered the 8 Afghan children. We could make a reality TV show out of it, sort of like running man. I'd pay to see that.
For a sight that espouses peace and is anti-war there is an awful lot of blood thirstiness here
You see what you want to see.
Can you say "sacrificial lambs?" It would be better if those sacrificed were Donald Rumsfeld and his creepy cadre.
No one is ever "ex" Blackwater, or "ex" CIA.
whitewater= imaginary crimes, but some sex. blackwater= real crimes, but terrible deaths. from the neo freudian institute of neo-conservative studies in america, republication of equations subject to the copyright laws of any of the 127 countries where our armed forces stand by, ready to enforce the sanctity of the written contract.
Oh, why do they hate us so much? You think maybe one of their relatives could be the next "underpants bomber?"
If step in an ant mound common sense would guide you to get your foot out!
We junp to conclusions. Blackwater employees have gotten away with murder for years...and it continues. If we are required to hire mercenaries and soldiers of fortune to fight a war, then it seems logical that we should not be in the war. But there is much wealth involved...and power.
At one time we thought how terrible the godfather, and the mafia were,--until along came poppy, the cia, Bush Jr. Chaney, and the blackwater gang.
In an Associated Press story today was the following:
"I hereby sentence you to 20 lashes with a wet noodle," the judge said after the jury handed up the guilty verdict. The verdict was reached after testimony was heard in the murder case of two Afghans in Kabul. The judge in his opinion cited major campaign contributions given to high-level politicians as justification of his ruling.

The 20 lashes with a wet noodle must be appealed as cruel and unusual punishment. No doubt the US Supreme Court will overturn that ruling.
I just read the Blackwater gang has paid the families of the dead Iraqi's $ 100,000 for the murders. Perhaps the Iraqi's would rather have their family members back. The blood thirsty Gang and the cia have no concience, and now they can go out and murder again.
No doubt the charges will be dropped on some technicality. Gotta protect the constitutional rights of these murderers.
Indubitably!
blackwater; more dangerous than black ice.
They claim to have done this in our name, for grossly inflated salaries and for profit. They must be prosecuted, but let's not stop there. There must be some responsibility in Command and Control.
