Indivisible on CPC's Leadership Elections

Today, Indivisible's National Policy Director Mary Small released the following statement:

WASHINGTON

Today, Indivisible's National Policy Director Mary Small released the following statement:

"Congratulations to the newly elected leaders of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal led the CPC to some monumental victories during the last Congress, backed by many Members' willingness to strategize collectively and aggregate their voting and negotiating power. Especially given this huge step forward for the caucus, we're excited to see where her leadership, supported by Deputy-Chair Ilhan Omar, will take the caucus in the new Congress.

"Indivisible has long been invested in the success of the caucus, and worked during the midterm elections to expand the number of progressives in Congress. That's why we're excited to see Representative-elect Greg Cesar, whom Indivisible supported and endorsed, among the slate of leaders in the upcoming Congressional Progressive Caucus team as Caucus Whip. Congratulations to all, and we look forward to continuing the work of improving people's lives."
