350.org Responds to the US House of Representatives Second Impeachment of Donald Trump
WASHINGTON - The US House of Representatives voted to impeach Donald Trump for the second time within a year, charging him with “incitement of insurrection” due to his role in his supporter’s violent, white supremacist attack on the U.S. Capitol last week. Ten Republicans joined the Democrats in voting to impeach Trump, the most votes for impeachment from the president’s own party in history. The impeachment resolution will now be sent to the Senate.
May Boeve, 350.org Executive Director, gave the following response:
"Four disastrous years, two impeachments, more than a hundred climate rollbacks, incitement of mass white supremacist violence, and permanently kicked off Twitter. We aren't just firing Donald Trump, we're kicking his racist ego to the curb. Good riddance."
350.org is part of a growing movement demanding: (1) Trump be removed from current, and disqualified from future, office; (2) Expel members of Congress who tried to block the clear and legitimate Biden-Harris election win; and (3) Investigate the security response to hold accountable those responsible for this assault on our democracy.

350 is the red line for human beings, the most important number on the planet. The most recent science tells us that unless we can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million, we will cause huge and irreversible damage to the earth. But solutions exist. All around the world, a movement is building to take on the climate crisis, to get humanity out of the danger zone and below 350. This movement is massive, it is diverse, and it is visionary. We are activists, scholars, and scientists. We are leaders in our businesses, our churches, our governments, and our schools. We are clean energy advocates, forward-thinking politicians, and fearless revolutionaries. And we are united around the world, driven to make our planet livable for all who come after us.
