Vatican to Train More Exorcists

ROME - The Catholic Church has vowed to “fight the Devil head-on” by training hundreds of priests as exorcists.

Father Gabriele Amorth, 82, the Exorcist in Chief, announced the initiative amid church concerns about growing worldwide interest in Satanism and the occult. 1230 05

Under plans being considered, each bishop would have a group of priests in his diocese who were specially trained in exorcism and on hand to take action against “extreme Godlessness”.

“Thanks be to God that we have a Pope who has decided to fight the Devil head-on,” Father Amorth said.

“Now bishops are to be obliged to have a number of established exorcists for their diocese. Too many bishops are not taking this seriously and are not delegating their priests in the fight against the Devil. You have to hunt high and low for a proper, trained exorcist.

“Thankfully Pope Benedict XVI believes in the existence and danger of evil, from the time he was in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.”

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith deals with promoting and safeguarding Catholic beliefs. It was headed by the Pope when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, from 1982 until his election as Pope in 2005.

The Vatican is concerned that young people are being exposed to Satanism through the media, rock music and the internet.

All priests can perform exorcisms, but in reality only a select few are ever called on to do so. The rite involves gestures and prayers to invoke the power of God and stop the “demon” influencing its victim.

Send a few of these guys to the U.S. Congress. It needs and exorcism. It’s too late to cleanse the Executive Branch. It sold its soul some years back.

The Vatican should start the exorcism at home –
and then move on to the White House!!

  5. george w. bush December 30th, 2007 11:59 am

Does this mean the priests will now spend more time trying to stop little girls heads from spinning around and less time using their penises to push the Devil back up little boy’s butts?

Maybe these priests will be chaplains in the liberal internment camps.

This pope who worked for years in the office descended from that of the Grand Inquisitor, will be going way beyond exorcisms to real persecution of non christians. He is setting the stage.

It appears as if the Pope is trying to get the Catholic Church to complete a “Great Lurch Backward.” Chairman Mao has nothing on Pope Benedict II.

To those bible bangers who never bother to read all of the book they wave around in people’s faces, the “devil” was originally used figuratively in the bible to represent evil. It was the Catholic church, in their on-going attempt to instill fear in the faithful and keep them in line with scare tactics, that strove to embody this symbolism into Satan, and also to promote the idea of hell — the concept of which is stark evidence of just how sick the human mind, where the concept originated, can be. This has of course been taken up by their Protestant ilk for the same reason. Of course, the devil also serves as a tool to insure and promote sexism and untold numbers of free-thinking women were burned at the stake due to “demonic possession”. (Where were all the exorcists then?)
Now, just who IS the devil? According to over a billion Muslims the United States is the Great Satan. Indeed, the devil can be anyone you want to demonize to promote your own political, religious or economic agenda. But mainly, Satan is a tool for the business of religion — a convenient scapegoat, alibi and apology for theologies that make absolutely no sense at all.
Ooops, the devil made me write this…..

It is amazing that such a large organization which is ordained by the Vatican can dispense such superficial nonsense. If they were really interested in promoting peace in the world, instead of their true goal of maintaining their wealth and status, then they would put all of their resources and apply all of their effort into a unified goal of fixing one impoverished country so that true evil would be in abeyance on at least that local front.

If they had anyone in their employ who had any brains, they would realize that their best choice for beginning such nation repair would be Haiti. If Haiti was treed and modernized with non-polluting energy technology, then it would be reasonable to expect that a moral society could be grown there which would reflect favorably on the Catholic Church.

Reducing evil and impoverishment in the world by one country at a time is the most logical route to a truly just world society. Each country rescued makes the future task less difficult, since the rescued countries would eventually employ themselves in that same enterprise and the strength of good in the world will grow exponentially.

Just when you thought the world could not possibly get any stupider.

In an effort to out-stupid the Islamic and Protestant Fundamentalists the Catholic Church goes retrograde.

God’s Rotweiler……… This man reverts to form. The Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith is literally the last remnant of the Inquisition. The appointment of Ratsinger as pope is indeed a great leap backward into the dark days of the inquisition. The CDF was actually established at the end of the inquisition and formed the court of last resort for those accused of hearesy….. Nevertheless this is a frightening development in an age of increasingly strident religious extremism. The dark ages are again upon us. In this time of apocalyptic events such as global warming, energy shortages, impending food shortages as a result of both climate change and the misguided push toward biofuels, over population and the resulting clash of civilizations, and impending plagues, the stage is set for the wackos to attribute all these problems to “evil”……. and react in their usual irrational ways to cleanse the world of evil……themselves becoming the embodyment of that evil.
A frightening prospect to say the least………

Become an atheist and screw organized religion. All organized religion is is a way to keep the masses in fear of the unknown and thus control them.

Mankind has to come up with a better way to promote brotherhood. Religion is not the way.

Well thank god somebody is going to finally do something about the anti-christ GWB. They said they were going to fight evil right? Like DU? This must include VP Cheney who has the habit of shooting his friends with a shotgun and pretty much everybody in the Administration.

Oh, I forgot. This is religious dogma trying to herd us back to the dark ages. Be fruitful and multiply right? Ignorance is knowledge (no internet) remember?

The first place the Catholic Church needs to look for Satanism is under the robe of it’s very own priests. Just what we need: the religion of pedophiles telling us how to stop evil.

If you believe in religion instead of reasoning things out, you all deserve to go extinct from global warming.

    That’s what I think.

And maybe you can help us understand what they have in mind by certifying more exorcists: a new marketing tool, perhaps?

Good point WMC. You can bet the standard fee for an exorcism will be in the thousands of dollars and the Pope always gets a cut of the take, burning candels and selling holy water, icons and Pope pictures. They need the money to restock their coffers. They had to pay out billions for the child abuse lawsuits.

The same types who see the Virgin Mary crying in a pile of cow pies, will have their kids who are brain damaged from sniffing glue exorcised. I’d like to have my wife’s house cat un-demonized, wonder what the fee for that would be. For the right price, some of the so called Christians will do most anything. ___ Churches are the devil’s domain.

Hi COCO, __ do you still love me?

  27. miftin December 30th, 2007 6:08 pm

According to Elaine Pagals, “Satan” sort of grew out of Judas the betrayer of Jesus, and was used as a designation for “others” (like Jews who didn’t convert to Christianity) who killed Jesus.

  28. Siouxrose December 30th, 2007 6:10 pm

IVIRICH, SAMSKI & STONE TOOL: Good points. As an astrologer, “the first heretic,” those in my field recognize that the church has a long history of MURDERING those who choose to seek higher metaphysical/esoteric causes for the strange ways and means of this world. Like all authoritarian institutions, the church will brook no opposition or questioning of ITS claim to Divine, unimpeachable authority. I have met people who accuse me of being a “devil worshipper” because they are ill-informed and have been given dangerous, bogus information by their church leaders that lumps all who work with oracles or study the ancient mapping systems as erroneously worshipping the devil.

I see evil as a palpable force, but the personification into a devil seems very primitive to me. The archetypal energies that relate to the planets in the astrological paradigm are just that, archetypal energies. Does evil choose a singular archetypal form in which to express, or are there numerous areas which–when taken to the max–cause others pain, thus diversifying the nature and expression of evil.

Living in the Bible Belt, the need to keep what I do under a cloak, to BE low profile is real and has been for a decade. Since my TV show on astrology was canceled in l994-l995 which is also when Clear Channel became active in buying out all Florida radio stations of any significance, I personally saw all venues close off to me. Anyone with left leaning views, progressive values, interest in alternative technologies, and most especially, the esoteric is lucky to get any media time these days. The land of the free is a joke, and it’s fallen under a dark shadow of ignorance, fueled by irrational fears and prejudice.

The Course in Miracles says there are only 2 emotions: Love, which all the masters championed, and Fear (which can manifest as hatred, or other forms of enmity). Interesting how the Catholic church chooses the latter, for isn’t that what the entire basis of exorcism is couched in? People with profound mood swings caused by poor diet and low blood sugar can today be called bipolar and given drugs to manage their behavior, OR they may be called possessed. Why bother looking at diet to determine cause, when there are so many evils seeking targets? Soon they’ll call back the incubus and succubus… and then, who knows, when the “reality TV shows” become too banal, real witch burnings may begin to proceed. I do NOT rule it out given the degree of religious based ignorance that’s come to pass for norms in too many regions.

  29. whatfools December 30th, 2007 6:14 pm

Will our ‘faith based’ interrogators be using the rack instead of the water board?

Can’t Wrath Slinger sell indulgences to raise money just like the old time religion?

  30. KEM PATRICK December 30th, 2007 6:49 pm

Well, there difinently is a Satan, lucifer. He is as real as God and of course for those who choose ro believe there is no God, they also won’t believe there is a devil, and or his demons, who can possess people and take full control of their souls.

But that’s religious talk and one either believes in a supreme being or rejects it, that is our choice. I know one thing, Siouxrose is not posessed by anything except love and compassion for others and she has a message, at times difficult to understand. Ya gotta think there. I also believe churches are the devil’s hangout, the richer the church, the funnier the hats, the more often he hangs out there.

I guess the really sad thing about this story is that the Church still thinks anyone in this country really believes and practices what they say. If I had a nickel for every Catholic friend who is on the Pill, been divorced, done drugs, or read their horoscope online, well, I wouldn’t have to write this, I’d be in Paris buying overpriced wine by the glass.
Every person I know who grew up in this religion is either cherry-picking what the wingnuts at the Vatican say and living life the way THEY want, or trying to explain to other people why their priest was transfered after that “unfortunate incident” happened at camp/church/basketball practice/catachism class/alterboy training when they were younger. My own best friend was told to stay away from a certain priest in his church almost from the first day his parents started going there. My sister did some of the best drugs of her life with kids who went to Christian High. Even I, who went to a small, Catholic college, knew that some of the best parties to go to were off-campus, where drunk men tell no tales. The best story involved a guess-the-penis contest. But I digress.
Oh yes, the U.S./Vatican disconnect. An inquisition of this type could only be carried out by the heads of state in Europe, and they have been down this road before. We have too, just with our own band of wingnuts. I doubt we will see any book-burning or witch burning here anytime soon, but I can’t wait for the FOX Noise broadcast of “They Are Coming To Eat Your Children” Holiday Special, followed by the current War on Christmas telecast from everyone’s favorite resident crazy, Bill-o. We can round this out with a Special Commentary by Keith, that will bitch-slap some sense into the straights just in time to save our collective asses from Pat Robertson.
They are good for something, at least. A great laugh.

You shouldn’t try to pose analogies, mackgillicuddy, it’s clearly not your forte. A better parallel would be between the Catholic heirarchy and the Bush administration: where those not directly involved in illegal, immoral or unseemly activities are at the very least hypocritical, dishonest or involved in a cover-up. I would concede the possibility that there are honorable people in both agencies, but they have all been tainted by their associations.

I am a Catholic but these people don’t represent my views in any way shape or form. Doesn’t this sound like a return to the inquisition?? I think the Catholic church would better spend it’s time finding out which of its priests are child molestors and turning them over to the law. That is a kind of exorcism I could support.

  39. nayoibi December 30th, 2007 9:48 pm

so that’s what those priests were doing to those children.them children got demons and the priests were fighting them demons head-on..

  40. ren ren December 30th, 2007 9:56 pm

Of all the organized religions there are good aspects and bad. I don’t condemn catholics, because while I’ve met a lot of people who call themselves catholics, only a handful were outstandingly pious, and those few were really excellent people.

I don’t believe in god, not because I think it is bad, or unintelligent, but because it never really worked for me. (I often attend churches, because I appreciate the community feeling created in them, the only long term service I have attended was at a michigan unitarian universalist fellowship, but they I hear are not uniform in their practices nationally) I usually put my “faith” in people, not that they will always do good by one another, but that it will balance out, and that people have good intentions.

there are some prejudices I have though, I admit to that, and try not to act on them, astrology, for example is something I am unfair toward, and I see that, and try not to be critical of people who believe it. I mean, I know there are stars and such, that is a tangible thing, so why I would feel justified in disrespecting that, when there is less evidence for me of a god..

Exorcism and all that stems from something that I personally cannot, and do not espouse. That people are born in sin. no way.
my most fundamental belief is probably that all people are born with inherent worth and dignity, and that there is no lesser person, from another. I think that evil and demons and all that is not the way I look at upsetting stuff. Murderers? probably chemically not-balanced, or products of the vicious cycle of violence (of which I think some organized religion plays a part) I don’t think killing murderers makes sense for that reason.

  41. wood_boot December 30th, 2007 10:23 pm

Love the picture of Joey “the Rat” Ratzinger doing his Heil Hitler salute.

So now we are hunting down and smoking out the devil as well as all mortal evil-doers?

With a brainwashed pope in the Vatican, and a dumb-as-a-brick potus and a malevolent veep in the White House, it’s no wonder the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

I turned 70 last week, so I only have another 20 years - give or take a few - to go.

I feel bad for my son, his generation and their kids. It’s high time we all come to our senses and forget about imaginary devils and WsMD.

Instead, our religious and political leaders should concentrate on things important - too many babies, climate change, and working towards world peace come to mind. THAT is what most citizens want, for themselves and especially for their kids and all youngsters.

  42. ren ren December 30th, 2007 10:42 pm

it makes me really sad that the only people I see looking at the world anything like I do are as old as some of you fine folks are.

they say the children are the future, but I think they’ve got it backwards. the future worth having is in the dreams of those closest to dying. Those who are aware of the beauty in life, and cherish it, protect it..but likewise are willing to give it selflessly in the hope, that wonderful hope, that the children will not squander it.

bless you who can be so beautiful, if blessings are real.
peace be unto you if that is possible,
and if life is such that it brings you joy, longevity for you and your efforts.

  43. NorthATheBorder December 30th, 2007 11:05 pm

The Catholic church is about as far from being holy as one can get. Its leadership is truly corrupt and twisted (gee, sounds a lot like the Bushies). Any organization that tries to cover up pedophilia in its own ranks while promoting the conditions that allow pedophiles to join without any problem is definitely sick. I don’t mean to belittle people who might be attached to the church that practice ethical behaviour but they’d probably be ethical regardless of what their religious affiliation was. The majority of Catholics are either lapsed, ignore half of the official teachings of the church or have other problems that they cover by feigning extreme piety. Religion isn’t the guarantee of good behaviour, that depends on the individual. I don’t know that I am an extreme atheist but I can certainly agree with Richard Dawkins when he warns of faith being used as a means of circumventing condemnation for negative actions. There are wonderful religious people and disgusting religious people, just as there are wonderful atheists and disgusting atheists. People are people.

The Exorcist in Chief would be a mighty fine title to put on letterhead addressed to your landlord. How can I join an organization with such histrionic titles? Sign me up, Father! Yes, Father!

Gotta get my local Catholic exorcist to compete against anyone else in the area who calls themselves an exorcist and maybe have a yearly contest where they practice their exorcisms against the local midwives. 49. MA_Matriarch December 31st, 2007 12:18 am

Due to my personaly experience, I believe with all my soul that the reason there is so much evil on earth is due to a lack of people experiencing God/dess in their lives. I place the square (or maybe I should say triangle) on all three patriarchal religions.

I believe all the kaos that is going on in the world right now is due to this problem; those who have been in control feel threatened by it. By fear they are trying to prevent the spiritual evolution from happening.

I say to those who know what I speak keep on sending the peaceful protective energy out into the world so that it can heal. I personally know there is only one ruler of this world and universe and I have NO doubt evil will and can be conquered.

I think the Catholic church has inserted it’s self between people and thier creator. The biggest lie ever told is that you can not speak spirit to spirit with the creator. This religion is about power and money, they also are very secretive about what they hold in the vaults of the Vatican. True, there is evil, true there is a way to rid yourself of it, but the Catholic church does not hold the patent.

He has made economic deals with dictators.

He has funded environmental deals that have destroyed indigenous cultures and vital resources.

He has gone to impoverished countries and told people to have more children. Meanwhile he demands that his clothes are made by Prada.

He blames the world’s problems on the devil and homosexuality, when in fact his own church has funded wars, genocide, and environmental destruction.

History has shown over and again that Christianity is one of the worst offenders of human rights, and that they cover up their crimes with money and power.

This kind of criminal behavior can be found in most wealthy and powerful religions.

It takes guts to go outside the church and develop it for themselves. I perhaps wouldn’t have done it either if my life hadn’t demanded that I did.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that! There is a silent dark side I don’t dare write about.

“Become an atheist and screw organized religion. All organized religion is is a way to keep the masses in fear of the unknown and thus control them.

“The pigs went into a stampede and ran over the edge of a nearby cliff, killing them all. The townspeople got mad at Jesus because the pigs were their livelihood. They wanted to kill him. But the exorcised man loved Him.”

well according to this story, they had the right to be mad at him. why have to send these so called “demons” into the people’s livelihood? why not just eject them out into the air? if this is “god” he could have just removed those pesky buggers. well it’s the bible what do you expect? “god” had to show off constantly just so people would believe. And an old priest said, “Speak to us of Religion.”

    And he said:

Have I spoken this day of aught else?

Is not religion all deeds and all reflection,

And that which is neither deed nor reflection, but a wonder and a surprise ever springing in the soul, even while the hands hew the stone or tend the loom?

Who can separate his faith from his actions, or his belief from his occupations?

Who can spread his hours before him, saying, “This for God and this for myself; This for my soul, and this other for my body?”

All your hours are wings that beat through space from self to self.

He who wears his morality but as his best garment were better naked.

The wind and the sun will tear no holes in his skin.

And he who defines his conduct by ethics imprisons his song-bird in a cage.

The freest song comes not through bars and wires.

And he to whom worshipping is a window, to open but also to shut, has not yet visited the house of his soul whose windows are from dawn to dawn.

Your daily life is your temple and your religion.

Whenever you enter into it take with you your all.

Take the plough and the forge and the mallet and the lute,

The things you have fashioned in necessity or for delight.

For in revery you cannot rise above your achievements nor fall lower than your failures.

And take with you all men:

For in adoration you cannot fly higher than their hopes nor humble yourself lower than their despair.

And if you would know God be not therefore a solver of riddles.

Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children.

And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in rain.

You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees.

The Prophet - by Kahlil Gibran

I think sometimes being a christian is a spiritual step, there are lots of things to learn about spirit by being one. Jesus, only taught one prayer and it was about how to pray or find the god of your heart. It is the lord’s prayer. Nice to see you MA_Matriarch!

Great points sister Siouxrose and many others of you here, thankyou for your clear perceptions and brilliant comments. xx

    Mackgillicuddy writes:
“The Pope is right. It is time to meet the Devil head on.”
~ I thought Pope-eye had all ready met Cheney & Co??

The Catholic church has always had a ‘thing’ about focussing on ‘evil’, -shame that it has so often looked to the speck in other’s eyes and not at the tree trunk in it’s own myopic organ.

A true story: A friend of mine, -a buxom, blonde, very good-looking model and film star got an invite see the Pope once. En route, she had to undergo some high-ranking cardinals groping her breasts and putting their hands up her skirt, …but maybe they were just checking she didn’t have any ‘evils’ up there? ;)

Personally I believe what is called ‘evil’ is actually on the increase, but isn’t often recognised because any *really* evil slave to darkness isn’t dumb enough to walk around in a big cloak with black candles and skulls in hand. Instead, the true black magicians wear expensive suits and can be found in the corridors of governments and working in executive positions, such as CEO’s of media conglomerates, banks, churches, terrorist orgs, et al. – That, after all, is where they can cause the most chaos and do the most damage to mankind.

If Pope-eye and his pals were serious about banishing evil why not start at the top? How about demolishing the building at Yale where the degenerates of the Skull & Bones club meet, as well as the other black magic HQ’s where our crazed leaders take their first oaths of eternal allegiance to darkness? See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_and_Bones

    ________________________________

One of the devious ways darkness seems to operate is with obfuscation, such as when one dark group is (ostensibly) pitted against another, and neither is actually to do with anything ‘Lighted’ or wholesome, but the end result is always chaos and more pain for those suffer at their hands.

Maybe this scenario is epitomised by Osama B.L., versus Cheney, Rice & Bush? In that *supposed* battle, it is interesting to note that, (-no matter what the stated polemics) BushCo hasn’t actually bothered capturing and killing Osama, -I’m presuming because the two factions are working for the same master?

I agree with those who’ve pointed out that we, (as a race) do not actually *need* any intercession or interlocutors between us and ‘Allah’, or ‘God’, or the ‘Great Spirit’.
~ More especially we do not need corrupt devils posing as church / temple / mosque officials to take on that role for us!

Personally, I have an innate belief in The Great Spirit which is unshakable - just coz it’s worked countless times for me, -including saving my life on many occasions, but I don’t have dealings with any religion, -that’s just superfluous as far as I’m concerned.

By-the-way Sioux, you might be interested to hear this bit: I once read that on the back of the Papal chair at the Vatican, there are inscribed the 12 signs of the Zodiac. (I’d like to check this out in person, but for some reason they won’t let me in!) :)

Instead of the medieval tactic of sending out the exorcists, why not first see if there’s a scientific/sociological reason for the rising tide of Satanism, or are they just now registering the teen Goth movement?
The Salem, MA girls who started the witch frenzy are now thought to have suffered from ergotism, a wheat fungus that emits molecular precursors to lysergic acid (LSD), a logical explanation for the demonic. Someone dial The Rat and inform him that it’s the 21st century.

  66. rjhuntington December 31st, 2007 7:54 am

If there is a god, and god created everything, then if there is a devil, god must have created it, too. Therefore, there could not possibly be any kind of “contest” between god and devil (aka good and evil), which can only mean there really is no devil — and maybe no god. But that’s hardly the point, is it?

No devil = no job for exorcists, no straw man for fire-n-brimstone preachers to knock down, no fear factor to keep the sheeple in line. Evil is as evil does. It’s in the doing, as the churches well know. They’re good at evil.

Who needs churches anyway? Who benefits? Follow the money, power and influence. Benedict benefits. Look at those grand vestments. What a peacock! Behold the vast treasure and property amassed by his vaunted church. And they’re not even embarrassed by this! Oh my, what would Jesus say?

I made up my own religion and it’s good. In my religion, everyone is god because there’s nothing else to be. Do as you will and reap what you sow. Love one another; it’s more fun and you’ll live longer. The proof is in how you feel.

Sacramental bong hits 4 me, and you if you like. (What good is freedom is you can’t exercise it?)

Love. That’s what the good man said, love.

UNCOMMON DREAMS: Happy (we hope) New Year! As for the Vatican’s zodiac design, I don’t know; but I do know the Vatican holds a HUGE occult library in its premises. Like other “elites” they prefer to horde truth rather than allow its power to influence or lift the masses.

KEM: Happy New Year! You are always such a sweet heart to me!

Evil is in the eye of the beholder! A lot of people see nudity as evil! As something of Satan. But, as I remember the Vatican owns a nude statue of David. I guess they are going to exorcise it! My original opinion of the Catholic Church is correct. They are stuck in the 12th Century and not able to move forward.

  70. Juliann December 31st, 2007 9:59 am

I was fortunate to have a mother who though raised Roman Catholic was active with the American Theosophy Society for the majority of her adult life. She always told us that the vatican had vaults holding the missing chapters of the bible and other religious materials they didn’t want to “get out” to the masses for fear of losing their power. We never had proof of this however. Siouxrose - how do you *know* the vatican has a huge occult library. I’d love for someone to blow the lid right off that pop stand in Rome, give the world access to their secret libraries, and put a stop to the nonsense that is the catholic church. Give God directly back to the people where S/HE has always been … I feel sorry for catholics. I really do.

    Onward.

  74. tailcap December 31st, 2007 11:50 am

Excellent! Perhaps they can form a Washington D.C. platoon of exorcists that can drive away the evil demons that possess the White House, the Congress and the Courts that put the Demon in Chief in power in the first place. A democrat Demon in Chief would have been easier to exorcise because Democrat demons are generally weaker than Republican ones. ALso a Democrat-controlled war-mongering congress should not be that hard to exorcise and I would hope they get on it right away!

  75. nspire December 31st, 2007 11:52 am

What can I say? Our basic shaman and tribal “witch doctor” 5,000 years ago was far more effective than “organized religion”.

    Why is that?

Could it be that the churches, although spiritual at the heart, are no different than other edificial organized structures that endure for centuries? The further they arise from the simple shaman/priest working with directly with the people in need, the closer they become associated with the controlling power structures of society.

I suspect that “amateurs” would do a much better job, as the organized churches appear to have a vested interest in NOT having peoples’ spirits brought into harmony (and action) against evil practices in the world.

  78. Siouxrose December 31st, 2007 12:31 pm

JULIANN: I, too, have widely read Theosophical Society authors, and I can’t remember where the reference was to the occult library at the Vatican, but I know when I came upon it, the source felt genuine. The wisdom imparted from thinkers of the 19th century (when MSM and materialism did not have the chokehold over minds as now) is awesome, and has provided me with a stable foundation in the form of a spiritual philosophy. I test its thesis against mystics of other lands & backgrounds. The universal truths found among this sect is what I place belief in.

NSPIRE: I think you’re onto something, but then Truth never goes out of style. Anything ever really true still is; and all that’s pretense is just that. Problem is, when societies train people to worship the false, they lose the power of discernment. Hence the Master advising, “Judge the tree by its fruit” which takes me back to my already expressed indictment of organized patriarchal religion. War, as the supreme crime against humanity, furthered under the guise of consent from Jesus (or Allah) loses all spiritual credibility and becomes the dark power it purports against.

I have developed a secret weapon. I knew that the time would come when it would be needed but I am surprised that it is now. It is called the Bible Thumper. First take a piece of oak wood two inches thick and cut it into a triangle. Then cut out the center of the triangle in the shape of a rectangle. Then cut a three foot long oak handle, like an ax handle, and attach it to the triangle. Then fasten a Bible into the rectangle. Now swing the thumper and smack Christians who venture within your personal space. This should have the effect of exorcising their minds.

    D n G — I’m LOL, we need this and more humor!

Did you see the movie “DOGMA”, it has a marvelously twisted irony in it when the nastiest of evil spirits attacks the protagonists, and when all else looks to be completely over and final and doomed to ever lasting defeat - the dude yanks out Geo Carlin character’s golf club - and slays the innate evil.

Geo’s role was the Roman Catholic Bishop, who loved his golf, and had committed the horrendously EVIL sacrilege of blessing his clubs (with holy water) to do better in his game! The protagonists has guessed this subtle truth, and stolen the golf club iron to battle the ultimate in EVIL.

    Siouxrose,

Wouldn’t that be fascinating to get access to all the Vatican’s occult works? It seems they actually practice more “works for the dark master” than would happen on their own. Why else keep a dark library like this if the Vatican does not actively practice the very witchcraft it rails on against?

Just like the repukes/democons pass anti-environmental and trade acts with the reverse names (clear skies act, free-trade agreement) because they know most Americans are too busy to spend the time to verify that the details of these laws support what they’re titled as. IOW’s, most of us are too stupid to realize that modern politics mislabels everything to fool the average voter. e.g. “Freedom (really Fascism) is on the march.”

Did you ever see the Johnny Depp movie, directed by Roman Poloski “The Ninth Gate?” If not, rent it: it’s a hair raising flick. God I love old books, don’t you?

Ever read “Fate Is The Hunter” by Ernest K. Gann PAC? One of my favorites, along with “The Cry and The Covenant”.

  98. KEM PATRICK January 1st, 2008 6:53 pm

It is a wonderful and true story about a very brave and courageous man. I have read it three times over the years, as it helps to remind me of what idiots in power are capable of.

Joseph Lord Lister, one of Semmelweis’
students and the named Father of Antiseptics, said this of his teacher and mentor. __ “Without Semmelweis, my achievements would be nothing, to this great son of Hungary, surgery owes most.”

Ignaz Phillipp Semmelweis fought city hall of the medical profession all of his life, proved beyond any reasonable doubt that he was correct, countless times, and they refused to listen to his cry. It so remids me of politics in our day, stupidity, pride and greed in man, so often prevail.

  99. KEM PATRICK January 1st, 2008 7:24 pm

I wonder if Huckabee can exorcize demons? I won’t be at all surprised if he says he can before this election is over. He has already said some really stupid shit and he’s one of the leaders. Does that frighten anyone?

  100. KEM PATRICK January 1st, 2008 10:41 pm

JULIANN: I’d like to see a CD “reunion.” If anyone is up for it, Florida has great state parks with large camping facilities. Tonight we expect temperatures close to 20!!!! (It was 80 last week to any climate change deniers) but spring is great for such a venture. As a matter of fact, while penning a script last spring I had the mystical opportunity to participate in a firefly reunion. These amazing effervescent creatures light up the sky in astounding numbers and they meet every year the same week in April. I think WE should join them! In my children’s allegory of the zodiac I chose fireflies to represent the sign of Aquarius, as the metaphor of a source of illumination streaming from within is a true asset of this 3rd and most advanced air sign. Also, it signifies what must take place on our planet… as individuals up the ante on that interior light source, we raise a vibration suitable for bursting through the ostensible darkness, indeed that of a new DARK AGE as this pope and the other patriarchal pretenders of false paradise continue to horde power and repress the masses.

That brings me to PACPLYER’S point. The contents of the library is purely conjecture, like the archives of our own over-esteemed CIA. My personal analogy is likened to the police who do a bust and pocket the grass for their own use. The church STOLE the teachings from mystics and burned a fair share of books, but also kept many sources. I don’t think they practice the dark side (although a fascinating case is made for Hitler’s elite circle in THE SPEAR OF DESTINY by Nigel Ravencroft) so much as wish to ensure that the power born from spiritual illumination never move the masses to the point they can overcome their false masters. SILENCING dissent and promoting ignorance (or those messages consistent with the long-standing status quo) is what all these bastions of tradition work towards, and now, as our world is coming apart at the seams (and seems!) it is TIME for a new vision. ANOTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE and necessary! Visionaries see what others cannot because they are born with an understanding that transcends ordinary acumen. I hope I am adding to that heritage… believing in principles that extend beyond our planet to higher octaves of universal law has often marked me as an outsider. One must be very strong *(or nuts) to stand up to that. I read this site every day to be better informed than my critics. It’s not a joke to entertain the possibility that astrologers and mystics will once again face the fate of their predecessors. These are NOT sane times as we all note!

Take time to center yourselves so as to navigate your own best course in these trying times.
