Following Biden’s Infrastructure Rollout Sunrise Movement To Hold 65+ Rallies Across The Country Targeting Biden and Congress

WASHINGTON -

On Wednesday, Sunrise Movement will show up at over 65 towns and cities across the country to demand politicians sign the Good Jobs for All pledge, a bold pledge to get politicians committed to investing $10 trillion over the next decade to guarantee good jobs for all and tackle the climate crisis. These mass actions kick off a nationwide, multi-month campaign led by Sunrise Movement to call on Congress and Joe Biden to strengthen the infrastructure package to meet the scale and urgency of the crises we face.

WHAT: Youth led rallies demanding politicians sign the pledge

WHEN: Wednesday, April 7th

WHO: Sunrise Movement and local activists

WHERE: 66 towns and cities across the country

Top Sunrise targets include New York, NY, Madison, WI, Lancaster, PA, Tempe, AZ, and Durham, NC

“As someone who does not have access to affordable healthcare, I know how important proper healthcare and a liveable wage are. I know the pain that comes with unstable employment and a failing healthcare system,” said Kashish Bastola, a 16-year old Sunrise Movement Dallas leader. “That’s why our movement is demanding a Green New Deal that will guarantee Good Jobs for All while stopping the climate crisis and creating a safer, healthier society.”
