Kucinich Joins Congressional Delegation to Haiti
WASHINGTON - Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today joins Congressman Robert C. "Bobby" Scott (D-VA) and others on a Congressional Delegation to Haiti to review and assess the needs of the ongoing humanitarian operation there. Other members in the delegation are Representatives Michael Burgess (R-TX), Michael Capuano (D-MA), and Gwen Moore (D-WI).
"The people of Haiti have suffered a catastrophe. The United States' response has helped save lives and get Haitians desperately needed medical attention; however we must also marshal the resources to help Haiti meet its long-term redevelopment needs," said Kucinich. "This trip is vital to understanding the challenges Haiti will face on the road ahead."
