Obama, The War President
The President has not defined any real difference between his hawkish approach to international issues and that of his predecessor, former President George W. Bush.
Where's the change we can believe in?
Bush left a legacy of two wars, neither of which was ever fully explained or justified. Obama has merely picked up the sword that Bush left behind in Iraq and Afghanistan.
In the struggle against terrorism, one might say, "Who cares?"
One group that cares consists of Americans who follow the rules and think we should honor all the treaties we have promoted and signed over the years.
The President gave short shrift to foreign policy in his State of the Union address, mentioning neither the lives lost nor the cost of the global hostilities that the U.S. has involved itself in. He also didn't mention U.S. policies in the Middle East, though those are the root cause of many of our problems.
While U.S. special envoy George Mitchell has a hopeful outlook for the resumption of the stalemated talks between the Israelis and Palestinians after a year of trying, Obama seems to have temporarily thrown in the towel.
Obama said he was keeping his promise to leave Iraq by the end of August.
Meanwhile, frequent suicide bombings continue in that beleaguered country.
Afghanistan is a different story. U.S. forces there are involved in manhunts of al-Qaida and Taliban leaders. But the cost in civilian life is heavy when drones are used and whole families have been wiped out to get one suspected leader.
The U.S. seems to have convinced the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan that it's their war too. The Washington Post said the loss of Hakimullah Mehsud has dealt a fatal blow to his followers.
The U.S. military web has spread to Yemen, where American intelligence teams have joined Yemeni troops in planning missions against al-Qaida elements. Scores have been killed there.
Then there's the ramped-up U.S. saber-rattling toward Iran.
In his speech, Obama warned Iran of "consequences" if it didn't play ball and co-operate on nuclear inspections. It's unclear whether those consequences are of the financial variety or of a pre-emptive military strike by the U.S. or Israel.
All this comes at a time when the U.S. has bolstered its naval presence in the Persian Gulf and the neo-conservatives are calling for "regime change" in Iran.
But neo-con Robert Kagan, a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment, sees the possibility of peaceful regime change in Iran. Organic regime change could change the Iranian equation, Kagan concludes in a Washington Post article.
Iran, reacting to Western pressure or from fear of an attack, recently offered to send its uranium abroad for enrichment for industrial use.
There are new tensions in other parts of the world. China is upset with the U.S. $6 billion-plus arms sale to its nemesis, Taiwan. China's also irked at Google for its belated push-back against Chinese hacking into Google's G-mail accounts.
So while the President's Democratic base of support mutters about his abandonment of health reform and immigration reform, Obama can take solace in support from the Republican Party whenever he flexes U.S. military muscle.
And so this president takes his place among other U.S. chief executives who have sought the glory of leading the nation in military conflict. He has attained the desired status of "War President."

Show All-"Obama said he was keeping his promise to leave Iraq by the end of August"
As is often the case, Thomas is accurately reporting the truth. Obama *said* he was keeping his promise.
As most of you know, as even many in the US now know...Obama's promises, and what he says, don't carry much weight in reality.
The American "enduring bases" in Iraq, housing tens of thousands of so-called "non-combat" troops, show no signs of being dismantled by the Democrats.
No, that's not what he said. I heard him. From the CNN website: "WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Obama said Friday he plans to withdraw most U.S. troops from Iraq by the end of August 2010."
I noted it at the time to those with me. This does not include mercenaries, I am sure intentionally.

Ooops - our wonderful friend Helen Thomas is slipping... Obama did not say "...he was keeping his promise to leave Iraq by the end of August." He said he would have the TROOPS out by the end of August. Meanwhile the number of mercenaries is, I believe, already larger than the number of troops.
"Meanwhile the number of mercenaries is, I believe, already larger than the number of troops."
Same for Afghanistan. We don't get that half of the truth in this country. We hear that the US and NATO together have something like 100,000 troops in Afghanistan. They only vaguely mention "contractors" occasionally, of which there are at least as many as regular military, doing everything from managing the construction of bases to actual supplemental military duties. These are ALL functions that used to be handled in house by the military. We've all hears about the $600/day Blackwater mercenary soldiers. It doesn't end there. Now, instead of ordering a private to peel potatoes, we pay KBR $100/bushel for peeled potatoes while paying the Filipino KBR employee doing the peeling $.25 an hour. Okay, that actual example is speculation. However, KBR in Iraq was charging $100.00/bag to do soldiers' laundry with muddy water. And, how much did KBR get paid to connect the electrical wiring to the plumbing in Iraq resulting in electrocuted soldiers? I doubt the SeaBees, if they still exist, would produce such shoddy and dangerous work, and it would cost nothing compared to what we pay "contractors".

MARS RULES... the result, too much of a nation become fools.
Mars rules in your mind. You're doing nothing to stop the war machine and I think you want it to stay that you so you can feel good about it just like everyone else. If that makes me a fool that you call us in this nation, then go live in another country but stop laughing at us.
Shawn, Shawn, ...count to ten...find your inner zen...be one with the universe...
Now why are you striking out like this? Nobody wants to hurt you. But sometimes the truth hurts.
Peace, my brother
Ok jlocke. Read my other post and I'm not defending Obama either. We're all losers but we can't let some supernatural imagination stop us. God isn't punishing us and Mars doesn't rule. You have the power man. Be a hero. You can do it. I don't know Europe very well but I think there are people there who want to be heros together. I want America to be like Europe and better and I'm tired of people laughing at us Americans. I love this country man !
I hear you SB. What I took from the "mars" comment, however Shawn was, I believe she is saying that there is too much war,...I think "mars" is another way of talking about aggression, or war, without using those words,...what do you think?
Are "gods" in control of our destinies? I doubt it...but we are not so much in control of them either, as I am constantly reminded as I go through life.
I hope Americans take your advice and take "the power", I wouldn't recommend America turning into a false Europe, but when when someone builds a better mousetrap...steal the idea.
Yes people are laughing at America, but sometimes you deserve it. Maybe you need to learn to laugh at yourself, get over it, and get to work making your country better, at least your corner of it. Now get back to fixing those fridgidairs!
Uh uh uh uh, I think I'll have a beer and a couple of cigarettes while my wife reads me a bedtime from Howard Zinn's books she just got.
Those books can be hard to put down. If she has a touch of Scheherazade in her soul you will be enjoying them for months with her.

By the way genius-boy, when the military gets the lion's share of this nation's resources while citizens go hungry; and while our liberties are curtailed under the guise of protections, as per the war on terrorism, so that our nation's MIC (the one Ike warned about) can meanwhile go about the world TRAFFICKING in weapons... then yes, Mars, as the PRINCIPLE of war and violence evidently has a pretty strong hold over the nation's psyche. It is a word, a concept, a metaphor... and hardly what "rules" my mind. As a peace advocate (which clearly you are not), it is my call to speak out against the footprint of this archetypal energy. Get your dictionary, Shawn, archetype is a good word for you to look up. And try patriarchy, too, while you're at it, so you can separate the actual definition from your own trite conception.
I could agree with your reasoning but this Mars thing throws me off. Mars doesn't cause wars and God isn't punishing anyone. Why do Americans have to be laughed at for everything? I'm a progressive and I love my country even if it has stupid leaders that are hard to get them to listen. I may have voted for Obama, drive an SUV, smoke and drink alot, watch some cool TV, and enjoy the outdoors alot but I'm a proud American and don't do wars. I'm not about to go "passionate" and jump into the fire. I know my risks and I'm not ready to protest without a mass backup.
Shawn -- Do you have a mass backup when you try to stop the recruiters? I hope you are not putting us on.
I couldn't do it without the cooperation of school parents.

I write books and counsel clients you dumb baboon. And I have been involved with the peace movement probably since before you were born, you disrespectful clod. I do not for a minute believe that you stop kids from signing up, or any of your other talking points/M.O. on this site. You are a cupie doll at the fair as far as I am concerned. Your ignorance is willful, and your presence here is based on deception. I touch minds and hearts so you target me, and yet you haven't the intellectual depth to follow any of my arguments or understand the meaning of what I say. Your distortions are not appreciated; and I call you on them, and will continue to do so. I think you are a fraud here to waste peoples' times, asking them to argue points that the wisest of our forum have already broken down for you. Then, as if nothing important has been stated, you patronize them, and return to your talking points. As if between yesterday and today you're suddenly UP on Zinn. Sure.
You don't have to believe me because you can't even believe yourself. You don't even sound like you stand for peace and you have no business calling us a nation of fools. Anyone can write books. Even Sarah Palin wrote a stupid book. I may not be as "educated" as you but at least I can smell a warmonger who cries about the war machine and then supports it blaming "mars" for it. Is this how you "counsel" your clients? I'll be sure to give you all the credit for the war machine getting worse unless your books are lucky enough to influence this great nation out of the war machine. I don't know what you call "distortions" but you sound exactly like Sarah Palin. If I'm a fraud, so are you but it doesn't matter because it's just a forum. I don't have to agree with everything everyone says but I can still catch on. You're a fool to think I'm still a status quo shill. The more you call us Americans fools for nothing, the more you are just part of the problem. We have stupid leaders who are tough to pressure but that doesn't mean we're stupid. I may not have gone to college but I studied enough history to know that US history is filled with compromises and negotiations. Even Howard Zinn knew that and wanted change. The war machine may suck today but it's defending YOU. Who will you count on to defend your life, your freedom, and your arrogance? Call us stupid but let's see what you can do to tame that war machine and then share it with us. Let's see you live up to that challenge.
Sioux Rose
SARAH PALIN is a Christian fundamentalist with NO education. Her beliefs are antithetical to mine. To say that I sound like her is again, a representation of either your blatant ignorance, or an attempt at blemishing my character through an outlandish allegation COMPLETELY unfounded in fact or truth. And it's not the first time you did this. Give it a rest Shawn. I won't comment on anything you say, and pay me the same respects. Let's see if you can HONOR a truce. I really don't want to waste any more of my time speaking with you. It's not different from arguing with a drunk.
And for you to allege to indicate what I believe? What kind of insane hubris is that? You do not have the understandig to even begin to touch the surface of what I believe. You can't even distinguish between patriarchy (and Artemis did an excellent job trying to explain it to you on another post) and males as a gender. You are to honesty what I am to lies. Of course it's a very typical right wing tactic to accuse the other person of EXACTLY what you, yourself, do or plan to do. I see RIGHT through you. You paint false allegations on me, which is hardly the same thing. A few men in the forum seem to have taken a fatherly paternal interest in educating you, bravo to them. I notice that you take their insults and criticisms much better than anything like that coming from a female. Lots to work on Shawn...
"It's not different from arguing with a drunk."
I'm beginning to think you are arguing with a drunk, Sioux Rose.
Interpretations can be allegations? HAHAHAHAHA ! You're sounding just as wacky as Palin. If that's stupid to you, got it. I have a right to judge you as you do to judge me. You're not a goddess even if the whole world loves ya. You sound just like a typical Limbaugh crackpot and you think I'm a right winger because I voted for Obama? Third parties have no chance of winning until they can prove it so it's either Democrat or Republican you'll get. Keep male and female biases to yourself and get into the real world unless you want to keep the war machine alive. You have every right to ignore me as I do to reply to whatever I wish and I don't care about screen names so get used to it. If you can't debate, not my problem. You got plenty of company to debate me until they run me down.
Shawn, your moronic juvenile prattle is really getting on my nerves. I've been reading CD and posting here for years. You are nothing but a boob who enjoys irritating people. To call yourself a progressive is laughable. Please go back to Free Republic and play with your neocon pals.
Another politically arrested developed village idiot.
Do you not even understand (but of course you don't) how comically contradictory you are? Not that you'd give a damn, but on one hand you boast endlessly about counselling kids away from military recruiters, goading everyone else into the same thing or be accused by you of doing nothing, and then you berate Sioux Rose for not being appreciative of the very "war machine" you deride yourself, because it's "defending" her! Can you even begin to comprehend a word she says, or anyone else? She isn't saying Americans are stupid, you consummate oaf, she's saying YOU'RE stupid! Nobody said anything about going to college, but for you it wouldn't have helped anyway. Two days ago you admitted you hadn't read Zinn's books, and now you've read them all. At the same time you say "anyone can write books" and imply that Howard Zinn is just as stupid as Sarah Palin because all they did was write stupid books. You wouldn't make any sense to a 3 year-old. But hey! bright boy, get out there and "tame that war machine." All you have to do is apply enough "pressure", your cure-all to absolutely everything. You're a complete buffoon, pressure man.

Thank you EPHRAIM. Playing the intellectual version of "Romper Room" with the resident enfant terrible was getting annoying. I think I'll check out. Got a radio show to prepare for on Wednesday in Chicago, and a writing sample to submit to that writer's conference I hope to attend in California. Maybe in my absence, Shawn, as the great warrior, can stop the war machine. Why did such an alien land on our site?
Best of luck with the radio show.
[Why did such an alien land on our site?]
Well, life would be boring if we only had the same... what's the word... anyhow... If we only had the regular enfant terribles to deal with life would not be as entertaining. Or maybe one of the oldies just changed their username...

SATURNALIA: Thank you for the well wishes. I met Kevin Trudeau who is an interesting person, an Aquarian rebel in his own right, many years ago in Key West when I lectured on astrology at a resort. His book, "Natural Cures" is not the most scientific, to be sure, but he does let the public know about some insidious additives, the worst being the fake sugars used in diet soda. In any case, his interest in natural cures dovetails with my research on the moon (lunar cycle), and its impact on mood changes. Since millions ingest anti-depressants to offset these mood swings, this topic will be featured as one area of our discussion. He's born 180 degrees across the Zodiac from me, the astrological equivalent of us existing on opposite sides of the proverbial (tennis game) net, so our discussions are always intense! AND he's going to show case my book, Moon Dance, as the featured book on one of his venues. I am NOT a good salesperson, and he is a genius. So this may give one of my more dedicated efforts some long-overdue mileage!
As to SHAWN suggesting I don't believe in myself (another crock of horse shit from the mouth of one given to that level of discourse), if I didn't believe in myself I'd hardly have found the time, energy, or wit to produce eight books. It does not occur to Shawn that our media is owned by those powers that are quite selective about what they allow into print. "Blame the victim," favored tactic of those who operate as apologists for the status quo, one that in our times is evil incarnate.
You choose to be the victim for doing nothing to try to change the status quo. Let's see you and your 8 books change the media.
She didn't say Americans are stupid? To quote SR's original "MARS RULES... the result, too much of a nation become fools.". There. You were saying?
I didn't say I read all of Howard Zinn's books overnight. I just started but I've enough of his basics to understand him easy. Let's see how popular Rose's books are compared to Zinn's.
I make plenty of sense to kids because I have been successful in getting them to think progressively and I cheer them up alot. Remember when we were discussing keeping it simple? That's how conservatives win. They keep it short and simple without all that complicated bloat and that's how progressives have to do it. Let's take food as an example. Unless my wife or my mother is cooking, I want my food fast and simple. I don't want to be given boring lectures on perfect food. I want it fast, simple, cheap, and easy and that's the same thing with progressive values. Politicians can be nut cases but teaching kids by keeping it easy and simple and they follow. Nobody cares about grammar and spelling as long as you give them what they want to hear or tune it to their liking. If you want single payer to pass, you gota deliver it like tasty and crunchy. Make it something like health care as a human right or call it pro-life and work on making attractive sound bites out of it. Americans don't want to hear about other countries benefitting from single payer. It's supposed to be what the American people want, not what others want. Single payer needs to sound as appealing as getting a big Whopper or a Marlboro, not stale salads.
Tell you what. You and Sioux please run for president in 2012 and make astrology free education so that your "buffoons" will learn. Deal?
MARS RULES is a METAPHOR. Look it up.
You sure it's a metaphor? It's been sounding like Xtian God barf. If it is a metaphor, geesh why don't they say so? Could of saved a lot of trouble. But now that you mentioned it, I'll look it up on google and see what I find. If it's a metaphor, then I'll have to take back my comments on black magic. Stay tuned for the answer in my next post.
The way you accuse everyone else of sounding like rightwingers is truly amazing, coming from one who sounds EXACTLY like he's trying to land a job as Sarah Palin's publicity manager. You think precisely like she does. Simple-minded is good, quick and easy and totally superficial is the road to success. Make single-payer sound like eating a Whopper or having a Marlboro. And you actually think you're out there winning hearts and minds! Unless they're all as happily dumb as you, they're laughing at you, dunderhead. Tell yourself bedtime stories about what a winner you are. Gee, maybe you can do some motivational speaking! Tell us how to make stopping the war machine sound tasty and crunchy, and please don't bother about spelling or grammar or any of that boring stuff. Come up with a video game about how progressives need to sound more like those successful conservatives--so they won't sound like Rush Limbaugh. You know, give us more of that completely contradictory bullshit that rages like a toxic river through your tiny mind.
When you can declare victory on a single progressive causes that was fought on complicated ground, let me know. Till then, you're not seeing any victory on wars, trade, health care, climate change, or any issues. You think you can win by being a know it all? Doesn't work that way. Being progressive doesn't mean you can't be simple minded. I associated single payer with food in home town and people are finally seeing what's right about single payer and nobody cared about other countries having it. To stop war machines, yeah that's a complex one. Figure out what's really enabling it and the simple things you can do to back away from it. I don't do video games but there are some cool shows to keep your mind out of that war feeling. My favorite are timer recordings of daily soaps like "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "Young and the Restless". Comedy Central is the best channel to watch to get a lot of laughs to take my mind off alltime bad news. I don't ignore it but I need some time off to feel good so that I'm bouncing back up. See, simple solutions to get you out of the blues. Your mileage may vary but there are plenty of good shows to getcha outta the blues before reading some books for bedtime stories. That's one way of changing things from the inside and they thought I was a status quo shill !
>>Your mileage may vary but there are plenty of good shows to getcha outta the blues before reading some books for bedtime stories. That's one way of changing things from the inside and they thought I was a status quo shill !<<
This speaks for itself...

Sioux rose,
I am sorry you are being harassed by a newcomer. You seem to become a target and I have no idea why since your posts are not at all incendiary, but usually quite thoughtful. I appreciate your presence. Just wanted to add some kind words!

ZEA: Thank you for the support. My patience regarding this matter is not high since this is probably the 5th time I have dealt with the intellectual equivalent of a gang rape in this forum. I happen to know that the attack squad works together as some loosely aligned unit. It is possible that they are Christian and hold a major prejudice against astrology and mystical topics. It is also possible that the interest I have attracted in this forum, poses a threat to those that wish to keep the public ON message, and by that I mean, debates within certain proscribed contexts. Astrology has always been HATED by authoritarians. I think it's because those educated in this "taboo" subject pose very rational arguments that place a number of presumptions about life, nation, and God into question. This is VERY frightening for those who rely on the old traditions and definitions. Of course I argue it is precisely THOSE mindsets (stuck in the mud of tradition) that have deadlocked humanity into the same ideological feedback loops that inevitably lead to war, scarcity, poverty, and the vicious ism divisions. These people are NOT newcomers. I do not know how to pull up the archives, but for those who do, the data is all there. One gets tired of expending energy in addressing the attackers. While I will welcome an HONEST debate, what I will not allow is a misallocation of my words/meanings. As one example, speaking against patriarchy is not indicative of hating men. Astrology is not black magic. Those are two the goon squad likes to pull up when they run out of valid ammunition. And their kneejerk loyalty to the military is another curious factor in their postings. Although they're quite good at playing good cop, bad cop to keep the forum guessing about the shared quality of their motives, or should I say modus operandi.
You don't know other users personally and you aren't the goddess so shove your allegation bs and get a life. You'll complain about the military but do nothing to help stop it. The smell of hypocrisy.
Did you see the discussion under this article the other day?
http://www.commondreams.org/view/2010/02/06-5
I could not believe the sheer amount of trolls and misogynists pretending to have some kind of legitimate message wrapped in some kind of quasi-progressive cloak.
I commented (without naming names) that there were a lot of trolls and I swear within 10 minutes one of them had responded to my message, thus implicating himself as the troll.
Even if it is not new, it seems to be on the uptick on CD. There are more than one of these guys (or at least more than 1 screen name) under nearly every article these days.
I read the comments from that article you posted and the guy who replied to you didn't sound like a troll or a misogynist whatsoever. He may have said something you don't agree with but that doesn't make him a troll. Go back and read the comments carefully. Nobody except the deleted one has any bias against women but MB is talking about addressing violence as a whole rather than limiting it to gender. That is not misogynist whatsoever.
There is no reason to fret about someone posting under every article. Sioux Rose does it on most articles everyday and you're fine with it. CD does not have any rules against people posting under every article so every user has a right to post as much as they want. It's called free speech. Look it up.
Read the posts again. One of said trolls said that because there is a man in the abusive relationship with the woman it "evens out the score". He also said in response to my post, under an article about a woman being gang-raped at her husband's behest, that he "detected a subtle bias". If the issue was race, we would not hesitate to call this person a racist for trying to sweep the issue of racial discrimination under the rug. Why the exception for women?
Furthermore, I never said who I thought was the troll yet someone responded to me within 10 minutes. If said person was not a troll, why would he think I was talking about him?
I do know what free speech is, thank you very much, and was using that when I posted. In my opinion these people were wolves in sheep's clothing. If you are never on CD (I read it every day) and suddenly you are responding to every single comment in a way meant to cause arguments, it is my opinion that that person is disruptive and should be ignored. Those kinds of posts are not at all comparable to those of regular CD posters like Sioux Rose.
I didn't appreciate the condescension, either.
I read the post with an objective lens while you proved once again that you didn't read anything. There is nothing to prove that Martian Bachelor is a "troll". You're only making up bullshit that comes out of your whiney. Your argument doesn't even pass a fourth grade reading test.
"One of said trolls said that because there is a man in the abusive relationship with the woman it "evens out the score". He also said in response to my post, under an article about a woman being gang-raped at her husband's behest, that he "detected a subtle bias". If the issue was race, we would not hesitate to call this person a racist for trying to sweep the issue of racial discrimination under the rug. Why the exception for women?"
Nobody was talking about race. You're only making up projected assumptions assuming that you had actually read the comments instead of relying on Sioux Rose to tell you what she thinks.
"Furthermore, I never said who I thought was the troll yet someone responded to me within 10 minutes. If said person was not a troll, why would he think I was talking about him?"
Are you dumb or something? So someone responds within 10 minutes and you call them a troll? If he responded after a few hours, it wouldn't matter. You didn't even read what he wrote.
"I do know what free speech is, thank you very much, and was using that when I posted. In my opinion these people were wolves in sheep's clothing. If you are never on CD (I read it every day) and suddenly you are responding to every single comment in a way meant to cause arguments, it is my opinion that that person is disruptive and should be ignored. "
No you do not know anything about free speech. There is nothing from those comments to suggest that he was disruptive. I have been here on CD and I read the comments a lot even if I don't post often but that's irrelevant. Since it's your opinion, I can easily shoot it down as dead wrong.
"Those kinds of posts are not at all comparable to those of regular CD posters like Sioux Rose. I didn't appreciate the condescension, either."
Bullshit. I have read Sioux Rose's posts and she is just as bad as Nebraska Nathan1. You're doing all the condescending and your opinionated bias shows. I know you want to play Sioux Rose's games on this site just from what you said. I won't be surprised to see her flying in here to defend your little whiney and invent another lie claiming that I am part of a tag team and you'll believe her bullshit because your brain is shut off from thinking. I may be on Sioux's long blacklist but she ain't the boss even if you wanna worship her. Several times, when her opinionated arguments get shot down, she leaves the scene and expects another tag along to cover for her. I may not always read this site but I read it plenty enough to know who's trying to game the discussions. It's time for you to flush your opinionated bias down the toilet and be objective.
Kyle,
Somebody posted a link to their blog, that I notice is conspicuously missing from that article now. You would not be so invested in attacking me if you were not part of this same group. You resort to personal attacks that are completely uncalled for.
It is Ok for you to express an opinion (rudely) but I cannot do the same (politely)? I'm done arguing with you, as clearly you are not interested in having a civil discussion.
You're a big fat liar.
"Somebody posted a link to their blog, that I notice is conspicuously missing from that article now."
Did you read the rules of posting? They said no unrelated links are allowed.
"You would not be so invested in attacking me if you were not part of this same group."
You call me part of a group just like your bullshit buddy because I shot down your lying bullshit. I'm not part of any group but I can see just which group you are a part of.
"You resort to personal attacks that are completely uncalled for."
You're the liar doing the personal attacks and I took you down for it so shut your lying.
"It is Ok for you to express an opinion (rudely) but I cannot do the same (politely)?"
Bullshit. I did no such thing while you were lying. I thought you had misunderstood but now I see what a bald faced liar you are.
"I'm done arguing with you, as clearly you are not interested in having a civil discussion."
Sez you. You never started a civil discussion for us to have. I called you out on your judgemental errors and there you go defending it. You lied and you can't handle the truth. Drop your opinionated lying and then come back when you're ready to debate with facts. Liar !
"you dumb baboon."
Ugh. Does this forum have to go in this direction?
Your image here is one of someone far,far too full of himself. Is that the image you mean to display?
I'd rather be full of myself than be full of delusions of supernatural bs.
Mutter mutter . . . no health care reform . . . grumble grumble . . . doggone immigrants . . .
This is not about Obama. No American leader will have the capacity to stand up to the military-industrial-congressional-AIPAC complex. Who wants to lose the local base or military contractor in their district? War is jobs in a militarized economy, and anyone who gets elected is going to have to accept and bow to that.
Yea, Obama is a clueless wimp who will bow to power anytime. He is probably submissive nightly to Mistress Michelle. It just doesn't matter, that's all.
The last US president who stood up to the MIC had his brains spattered across the back of the presidential limo in Dallas, in November of '63...
Obama quote October 27,2007: " It is the first thing I will do. I will bring our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank". The business of America is the war business and Obama is very intelligent and knows this better than most and that is why I have called him the consummate con man and never supported his con of the American sheeple.
