Unlike miltary conscripts or volunteers, mercenary-for-hire outfits provide politicians with generous "campaign contributions".

I have come to respect the Nation very much. It is funny as I look back now and think how at one time in my life I was brainwashed to think that the Nation was a communist publican and was out to destroy America, lol. My life has changed so much in the past 3 years. I still have a long way to go, but I have also come a long way since I first started my journey.

I feel like this is just another lie our President is telling us. Is it only me that is get sick and tired of having a President that DOESN’T SEEM TO KNOW HOW TO KEEP HIS WORD!!!!! I know the our gov. in AZ thinks Obama didn’t tell her the truth or kept his word. Now she is angry and the people of AZ are angry that our gov. was lied to. She was appointed when our former gov. moved to homeland security, but our gov. of AZ no matter who she is should be told the truth and not lied to or jerked around and made to feel like the villiage idiot for believing the President of the United States. As a Catholic I am against this new Law, but I feel that our gov. could be reasoned with as a human being and that our President is wrong for lying to any gov. or head of state. I wouldn’t care who the gov. is the President should never lie and jerk them around.

Then we have the other lie that is being told about the volcano of oil in the gulf of Mexico. I wrote earlier on that lie, so I will move forward.

Now to top off my morning news I read about this lie with Blackwater. I try very hard to give Obama a chance to earn my respect and vote, but time after time, as soon as I give him another chance, another lie he told is exposed and I get angry all over again. Time after time this has happen and there comes a time when one must admit that our President doesn’t keep his word and can’t be trusted in what he tells you. I will try very hard to have him defeated in 2012. As a Political Daughter of the American Revolution, the first basic requirment for the job of being President is honesty. Obama fails again, and there will be no more chances given. First time I am fooled shame on you, second time I am fooled it is shame on me for giving you another chance, and their will be no third time. After 2 years of giving Obama one chance after another, I have come to the conclusion that President Obama does NOT have THE RIGHT STUFF to be PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.

This nation that I love needs to replace Obama in 2012 with a man or women who is HONEST and TELLS THE TRUTH. I do understand the rules about not running if the President in your party is running for re-election. I respect those rules and would ask no one to break them. There are a few Progressive Democrats and Independents who I would love to see join the Green Party. If the real Progressive talent in the Democratic party would join the Green Party and run Green they would not be breaking any rules. They would no longer be Democrats who had to forgo their dreams for Obama for the next four years.

Well, look at the bright side. Only three more years of Bush part III. Then we can get Bush part 4 regardless of the brand name.

My friends and I in the _War Resisters League_ are not under Mr. Obama's control. During his first week in office I used his new web-email site at Whitehouse.gov to give him heck for authorizing two Predator drone bombings. He's been a terrible disappointment. His West Point address and his Oslo speech were the nadir of the American presidency.

Why would he do that --- do they have a hold on the presidency? It appears that way and it looks really BAD and Obama should NOT do that! Gore Vidal has said that the U.S. republic is over. I'm not sure what it means when you can't get your neighbor out on the street for a weekend antiwar protest. I do keep repeating what Cohen said.. that 'others' had this capacity, and asking : Did he really think that if 'others' had this capacity, America didn't? He didn't specifically name those 'others'. We would be those 'others' TO others, I guess.

The capacity is there, of course. Has it ever been used? Earthquakes? Altering weather patterns? And much, much more in the form of this kind of weaponry - . What is to be done when we are in a Lifeboat that will sink if over-loaded by one more than are in it already.. and we find people drowning in the seas around us.. pleading : 'please take me on board.. here, just take my child..' ? If we do, we know that person or that child will drown on that same instant as the boat sinks, overloaded. Not only will that person or child drown, so will, of course, all the people in the lifeboat. (The 'powerful elite' don't like that idea!!)

That is the position we are in now - Earth is in peril; too many people using up too much of the finite resources and polluting what this Earth could be once again : a beautiful, bountiful land.

I am almost ready to join the Tea Party but then they probably support the privatization of the military. What an outrage. I am grateful for the information but disappointed the pay scale for the militants was not included. This support the troops when the light jobs of guarding and training is given to private mercenaries at a much higher pay while the government troops are doing the fighting at a lesser pay should enrage the Tea Party people. Don't hold your breath for them to support the troops and demand that Sander's Bill: " Stop Outsourcing Security Act" be passed. No Blackwater!

Sooner or later private security forces will be used in the US against US citizens and on a large scale. That's the end game. We are in the beginning stages of security/military privatization. A private army like Hitler's Brownshirts is being reborn. The dick Cheney - 'You can have your country back when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.'

Privatizing security/military is a sign of the demise of empire. Machiavelli said mercenary armies can't be relied on when it counts. So did Sun Tzu. When your own people will not step up to defend the empire and you have to hire contractors to do your bidding, you are screwed! We used Blackwater in Iraq because the Pentagon did not want the crimes they were committing in our name to be known. The "Politburo" keep us in the dark. All the world knows but US!

Also, I'd be willing to bet that the security forces being used in Mexico are Blackwater type thugs. They all wear masks and gloves. You can't even tell the color of their skin. They are really well equipped and have spiffy uniforms. They have been hired by the powers to be in Mexico who had control of the drug trade till small independent ruthless gangs started to cut into their business. Just another drug war like Columbia and Afghanistan.

Every time these contractors get another contract they get stronger and become more entrenched and harder to get rid of. Obama could have put them out of business and done us all a big favor when he first took office, but that is just another disappointment from Obama.

An earlier post compared Blackwater with ancient Rome's Praetorian Guard. I think they also could be compared to Hiter's SS. Blackwater is tantamount to Barry's private army--just as the Praetorian Guard and Hiter's SS.
