Members of the scientific community who value their reputation do not cook the data or skew the investigative process to create preferred results. Reputable scientific researchers know that all their work and publications will be scrupulously peer reviewed. Members of those communities are perhaps some of the best self-regulators among human societies.

Anyone who writes or says "We know for a fact that scientists who believe in "climate change" published faked data. Now we have the discredited climate change side", is either an imbecile or being disingenuous. Either way, he or she is blowing it out his or her ass. That's a fact.

I hate doing research for others, but all you have to do is Google "climate change scientists fake data" and start reading report after report, like " NASA Gets Caught Faking Climate Change Data-AGAIN" or how about," Glacier scientists says he knew data had not been verified". In Minnesota they had near record warm days in January of this year. It had not been that warm since 1885. Was there a global warming period back then, too? I don't know who is telling the truth, and that is why I wrote my first comment. We have scientists on one side who admit they faked data, and we have a group saying there is no global warming, who those on the faker side claim are lying, too. It is kind of like our government in Washington. I don't believe much of what the Republicans or much of what the Democrats claim.. You people seem to still believe what you want to believe without doing any critical research into the claims on both sides.

I guess all the people who believe everything the climate scientists report, also believe Barack Obama deserved his Nobel Peace Prize, because of his acceptance speech.

When we barely have a patch of ice here in New England (same as Chicago), in the middle of February (I never liked that first R in Feb.'s spelling"), I think it has to have something to do with climate change. Why don't we ask the indebted college graduates for some studies.

We assume korporate interests dictating the school curriculum is wrong. But let's talk about why. Korporate interests themselves are wrong because those interests compete with and often trump the people's interests. Human nature is not an easy thing, even when we've achieved real solidarity. We all have our own vices and weaknesses to deal with and we don't need some extraneous "interests" making it any more difficult to achieve our peace and happiness. Korporations want to grow themselves, effectively enslaving people to a monster's objectives. Ekonomic growath becomes the objective to trump human peace and happiness. "Supply-side" ekonomics rule the society, with korporations dictating what the people will konsume, what the people will choose, what the people will want, aspire to, work for. The korporations will dictate the worldviews, the stories, the agendas, the opinions, the knowledge, the facts. They will manipulate your friends and relatives at work, by threat of firing. They will dictate your children's lessons through the school curriculum, just to advance the korporate agenda, to make their own growath easier. Scum rule!

Luckily, the people are getting their own ideas about economics, public policy, and their own better interests. The people are now learning the responsibility is theirs, to decide what and how much is produced, and how, and by whom. The people are now learning to decide what and how much and how and by whom public policies shall be set.

And what goes into the school curriculum, obviously. Quite a responsibility we're taking on as we cut the propaganda supply tubes.

The people are discovering the excitement of being in the drivers' seat of society, their very own personal selves. The people know that this idea of they themselves occupying the society's control bay is different than working in the engine room, year after year. And the people are voting accordingly, in both the voting booth and in their everyday activities, shifting their exchange to the local level, starving the elites and das korporations down to size. It's a different world today, and the elites are frantic about the future. The people are incredibly excited.

Easy to argue about the details but my outlook is to just take the high road. For example, if cigarettes may or may not cause cancer, then if at all possible take the high road and don't smoke them. Still, no matter how many you convince, we won't start conservation measures because Capitalism depends on an infinite supply of resources to keep people happy and we have a planet with fixed resources. Human nature does not lend itself to sacrifice unless a problem is overwhelmingly obvious. By the time this is obvious, measures we can devise other than dying off won't matter. Maybe I'm wrong but that's the bet our leaders are taking to be paid by our children.

Susan Combs, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, just issued a report called The Impact of the 2011 Drought and Beyond which makes no mention of you know what. Dr Andrew Dessler of Texas A&M comments:

This report is consistent with the Texas State Government’s position of ‘See no climate change, hear no climate change, speak no climate change.’ The report goes out of its way to try to suggest that the recent drought was entirely due to natural cycles, but that is an untenable scientific position. Given how much carbon we’ve loaded into the atmosphere, the question is not whether humans are affecting the Texas weather, but exactly how. I’m sorry the report let politics trump science.
