WHAT: Trail of DREAMs goes to the office of
controversial Sheriff Arpaio

WHEN: Tuesday June 1, 2010 at 10:30am

WHERE: Maricopa County Sheriff Office, 100
West
Washington, Suite 1900, Phoenix, AZ

"Sheriff Arpaio's is reknown for his abuse of
power against immigrants, as we see with his racial-profiling tactics
and civil
rights violations which have even led to investigations by the Federal
Government and law suits by notable organizations such as the ACLU,"
explained Carlos Roa from the Trail of DREAMs.

Wearing their famous shirts that read
"Undocumented," the students of the Trail of DREAMs have been in
Arizona for the past few days speaking to different community members
about the
need of discrediting racial profiling law SB1070, a product of President
Obama's aggressive pursuit of problematic enforcement policies like 287g
and Secure Communities. "In our conversations with the people of
Arizona,
they always stress that the reign of terror under Sheriff Arpaio,
someone who
is suppose to defend and protect everyone regardless of their ethnicity,
creates fear throughout the community," expressed Felipe Matos from the
Trail of DREAMs.

The Trail of DREAMs students will be going to
