CAIR Offers Condolences on Deaths in Turkey Terror Attack

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said it has offered condolences for those killed and injured in a terror attack in Ankara, Turkey, on October 10.

In a letter to Turkey's ambassador in Washington, D.C., CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad wrote in part:

WASHINGTON

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said it has offered condolences for those killed and injured in a terror attack in Ankara, Turkey, on October 10.

In a letter to Turkey's ambassador in Washington, D.C., CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad wrote in part:

"We ask God to give His mercy to those who died and for the speedy recovery of those injured. CAIR and the American Muslim community stand by the Republic of Turkey at this difficult time and we are confident that these attacks will not deter the Turkish people and their leadership from continuing on the path of freedom, development and growth."
