MoveOn Statement on Conservative Democrats and President Biden's Agenda

WASHINGTON -

Statement by Rahna Epting, Executive Director of MoveOn on Conservative Democrats and President Biden's Agenda:

“Conservative Democrats have not been negotiating in good faith. Every time we get close to taking President Biden’s agenda over the finish line, they move the goalposts.

“We were ready and excited to celebrate the House passage of both the Build Back Better Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure plan today. We believe in all of President Biden’s agenda and want to see it all signed into law. Today’s antics by conservative Democrats have not made that possible.

“Conservative Democrats have once again shown that if the Bipartisan Infrastructure bill passes without passing the Build Back Better Act it is likely that the vast majority of President Biden’s agenda could be left behind. That is totally unacceptable.

“We stand with progressives who are demanding that we see all of President Biden’s agenda passed together.”
