A Patriotic Fix for America’s Hunger Epidemic
One nation, underfed. That’s the tagline for the new film out by Participant Productions, entitled A Place at the Table , which looks at America’s growing hunger epidemic. Participant Media, which produced Lincoln , The Help and Food Inc. , does not disappoint with its latest take on what America must tackle. And in light of the March 1 sequester cuts to social programs, the film’s timing couldn’t be more appropriate.

America's Lawmakers in Libyan Quagmire
Last week, as the US Senate picked up the Libya debate where the House of Representatives left off, it was apparent that Libya has created a political and moral quagmire for America. At the crux of continuing House debate is the legality of the invasion, given lack of congressional approval and its war powers implications, and the morality of the invasion, given a democratic imperative vis-à-vis the "responsibility to protect" (R2P).
