Dr. Anna Posbergh is an assistant professor in sport management in the Department of Recreation, Sport, and Tourism at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign whose research focuses on developing and implementing gender-focused policies for sport organizations, such as female and transgender eligibility. She was an invited speaker at the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) World Conference in 2024, and has received funding from organizations such as the National Science Foundation, the IOC’s Olympic Studies Center, the Spencer Foundation, and the American Association of University Women. She has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles on gender eligibility policies and transgender athlete inclusion.
