Republish Our Work

Thank you for your interest in republishing Common Dreams content.

All articles published by Common Dreams—except those re-published from other sources—are licensed under Creative Commons 3.0 license. This allows you to republish and share our content for free, provided you follow the license terms, including no commercial use.

Guidelines for Republishing

  1. Credit Us
    • Include the full name of the writer in the byline.
    • Attribute the article to Common Dreams with a link to the original article URL.
  2. Include All Links
    • If republishing online, link to the original Common Dreams URL.
    • Retain all hyperlinks included in the original article.
  3. Edit Canonical Metadata
    • Edit the <link> tag in your HTML to point to the original Common Dreams article URL. This ensures search engines recognize our article as the original. The tag looks like this: <link rel=”canonical” href=”https://www.sampleURL.com” />. Please make sure that the Common Dreams article URL is in the tag and not a URL from your website. For guidance, see Google's documentation on canonical URLs.
  1. Do Not Edit Material
    • Only adjust relative details like time, location, or minor editorial style.
  2. Images & Illustrations
    • Do not republish photographs or illustrations unless you have permission.
    • You may omit images or use your own visuals instead.
  3. No Commercial Use or Syndication
    • Do not sell, syndicate, or republish on platforms/apps like Apple News or Google News.
  4. Selective Republishing Only
    • You cannot automatically republish all articles; select stories individually.
  5. Provide Contact Information
    • Any site republishing Common Dreams articles should display prominent contact information.
  6. Social Media
  7. Logo Use
  • If needed, use one of the official Common Dreams logos provided for republishing.
