Common Dreams is a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our EIN# is #20-3368194. Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.

Common Dreams is funded exclusively by pooling together many individual reader contributions with some additional support from nonprofit foundations. No paywalls. No advertising. No selling your data. No corporate sponsors. In fiscal year 2020, Common Dreams received 61,013 donations (averaging $23.76) from 21,089 individual readers. Also, in 2020, Common Dreams received foundation support from the Schumann Media Center and the Park Foundation. In recent years these foundations also supported our work: the Wallace Action Fund; the Lear Family Foundation; the Fonda Family Foundation; the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation; and many small community foundations.
