NEW YORK CITY -- It's official: George W. Bush is on his way out of the
White House! To celebrate, CODEPINK Women for Peace of NYC and others
will sweep him into the dustbin of history this Wednesday in Times
Square!

With brooms, confetti, and pink costumes, nearly 50 CODEPINK women and
members of other progressive groups will sweep up Bush and his
horrendous decisions and policies of the past eight years and dump them
into a giant dust bin today at Military Island. With the final hours of
the Bush Administration in sight - an end to six despicable, hideous
years of war, torture, extraordinary rendition, the trampling of our
civil liberties, the pillage of our environment, the destruction of our
economy and more - CODEPINK says it's time to celebrate the dawn of a
new era!

"It's going to take years to undo the havoc wreaked on America and the
world by George W. Bush and his cronies," said Nancy Kricorian,
CODEPINK NYC coordinator. "But with his departure from the White House
on the near horizon, it's time to rejoice! If only he were heading to
the Hague in handcuffs."

In flamboyant, fun CODEPINK style, they will play "Pin the Felony on
the Bush Administration Official," "Match the Bush Crony to His Next
Job!" and other games. Passersby will be encouraged to join in.

CODEPINK is a women-led grassroots organization working to end U.S. wars and militarism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect our tax dollars into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming programs.
