350 Action Opposes Kavanaugh's Nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court

WASHINGTON

n response to the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, 350 Action Executive Director May Boeve made the following statement:

"The recent hearings on Judge Kavanaugh's nomination have made it undeniably clear he has no place serving on the U.S. Supreme Court. Kavanaugh has done everything possible to avoid accountability and transparency regarding these credible accusations of sexual assault. President Trump and his Republican supporters have aided in gaslighting the accusations of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and others, while pushing their partisan agenda. We stand with survivors in opposing Kavanaugh's nomination.

"As a climate justice organization, we're further troubled by Kavanaugh's record of weakening the power of government agencies to hold big polluters accountable. At a time when we need bold climate action moving us off fossil fuels and towards 100% renewable energy, Kavanaugh's conservative approach is distressing. We deserve better."

350 Action is the independent political action arm of the non-profit, non-partisan climate justice group 350.org.
