Obama Must Heed Alarm Bells on Global Warming
Last weekend, thousands of volunteers from surrounding states braved freezing temperatures to help people of North Dakota and Minnesota stuff sand bags for levee enhancements in a mostly successful attempt to contain the historic rise of the Red River. Twisters ripped through Mississippi, injuring scores of people, while a blizzard blasted Colorado and the Gulf coast endured yet another beating from severe storms.

Reverse Climate Change: Reduce Greenhouse Gases 80% below 1990 Levels by 2025
If your doctor told you in 1990 that someone you love had breast cancer and that 80% of her breast would have to be removed immediately in order to save her life - you would not wait until 2025 and remove only 25% of the cancer. Nor would you remove 80% of the cancer, but wait until 2050.

Bail US Out of the Fossil Fuel Economy
It's my turn. I want a bailout. Not hundreds of billions of dollars to the auto industry for making an inefficient, dirty product that Americans have stopped buying. Not trillions of dollars to the banks that have made bad loans, creating an explosive housing bubble, leading to the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression. I want to be bailed out of the fossil fuel economy. America must kick the fossil fuel habit for our environment, our economy, our national security, our health, our children -- and forever.
