CAIR Says Trump's Call for Imprisonment of Clinton Aide is Attempt to 'Politicize' DOJ

WASHINGTON - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today said President Trump's call to jail a former aide of Hillary Clinton is an attempt to politicize the Department of Justice.

In a tweet this morning, Trump called for the imprisonment of former State Department aide Huma Abedin and wrote derisively of the "Deep State Justice Dept." CAIR noted that in a recent interview, Trump said: "I have absolute right to do what I want to do with the Justice Department."
