A student on Friday afternoon reportedly opened fire in Washington state's Marysville Pilchuck High School, approximately 30 miles north of Seattle.
Two students were killed, one of them the shooter--who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the the Seattle Timesreports, citing law enforcement sources. It was not immediately clear how many people are wounded, but an anonymous law enforcement official toldCNN that up to five people were shot.
Marysville Police spokesman Robert Lamoureux said the shooter was a student at the high school where the attack occurred. Authorities "are confident that there is only one single shooter," Lamoureux told reporters.
