Journalists, Anti-War Activists and Human Rights Lawyers Will Be Leading a Protest Today at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in London at 5pm.

WASHINGTON

The protest is called by the Arab Organisation of Human Rights, the Stop the War Coalition the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy and Global Rights Watch.

It will demand justice for the killing of Jamal Khashoggi and an immediate halt to the bombing of Yemen.

Protestors will also be calling on the British government for an immediate end to all arms sales to Saudi Arabia.

Lindsey German, Stop the War's convenor said;

"Saudi's rulers have murdered a dissident journalist, they are leading a terrible war which is threatening a human catastrophe. It is plainly unacceptable that Britain continues to sell the regime vast amounts of weapons. Breaking our links with the regime is essential."

Stop the War was founded in September 2001 in the weeks following 9/11, when George W. Bush announced the "war on terror". Stop the War has since been dedicated to preventing and ending the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and elsewhere. Stop the War opposes the British establishment's disastrous addiction to war and its squandering of public resources on militarism. We have initiated many campaigns around these issues.
