Patriotic Millionaire and Business Owner Joins Nuns on the Bus and Florida Legislators at Mar-a-Lago to Protest Trump Tax Bill

West Palm Beach, FL

Friday November 2, Patriotic Millionaire TJ Zlotnitsky, President and CEO of iControl Data Solutions, will join the Nuns on the Bus at the conclusion of their nationwide bus tour with a "Fiesta for the Common Good" near Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. They will also be joined by Congresswoman Lois Frankel (FL-21), the Protect Our Care bus tour, and other progressive organizations and activists to highlight the devastating impacts of the Republican tax law as the 2018 midterm elections quickly approach. The Nuns on the Bus Tax Justice Truth Tour has included 30 Catholic Sisters attending 54 events in 21 states over the course of 27 days on a tour that began October 8.

Speaking about why he felt it was important to stand with the Nuns on the Bus and other progressive groups in protesting last year's Republican tax bill, TJ said,

"Last year's Republican tax bill gave fortunate Americans like myself a massive tax cut we didn't need and blew up the deficit to do it. Unsurprisingly, Congressional Republicans are already using the deficit that they themselves considerably worsened with this tax cut as an excuse to cut Medicare, Medicaid, and other vital services that millions of Americans rely on to live and retire with dignity. I don't want a tax cut that comes at the expense of healthcare for seniors or support for the disabled, and I can't imagine what kind of person would."

The Patriotic Millionaires is a group of high-net worth Americans who share a profound concern about the destabilizing level of inequality in America. Our work centers on the two things that matter most in a capitalist democracy: power and money. Our goal is to ensure that the country's political economy is structured to meet the needs of regular Americans, rather than just millionaires. We focus on three "first" principles: a highly progressive tax system, a livable minimum wage, and equal political representation for all citizens.
