On March 17th and 18th, "Fast for Families Across America" will visit the districts of U.S. Representatives Jim Sensenbrenner and Paul Ryan to engage constituents in the fight for immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship. Local voters and faith, labor, and immigrant rights leaders will join "Fast for Families" advocates Rudy Lopez and Dae Joong (DJ) Yoon to urge Congressmen Sensenbrenner and Ryan to heed their constituents' call and move immigration reform to a vote this year.

Elected leaders will join community leaders and constituents at press conferences to report on, visit, and announce major efforts in Wisconsin to act, fast, and pray for immigration reform.

Background: National faith, labor, civic, and immigrant rights leaders are on a 75+ stop bus tour, visiting with advocates and solidarity fasters across the country who are following in the traditions of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi by abstaining from all food in order to bring attention to this ongoing, moral crisis. Waukesha and Janesville are the only two stops that the national tour will make in the state of Wisconsin.
