"Today, Senate Democrats -- joining too many of their Democratic colleagues in the House -- betrayed people and the planet by voting for Trade Promotion Authority. This, together with the virtual silence of the leading Democratic candidate for president, shows the stranglehold corporations have over both political parties. Coming out of this vote, we double our resolve to build an independent political movement to replace Wall Street Democrats with politicians who put everyday people before corporate profits."
National People’s Action Campaign is building a movement to put people and the planet before profits. By working together to create a new pole in American politics, we believe we can forge a more just and sustainable future.
