Patriotic Millionaires Take Their Tax the Rich! Tour to Mitch McConnell's Backyard, Launch 3-Day Tour of Kentucky

"The group will travel across the state to speak to the local Kentuckians about the need to unrig an economy that is designed to make the rich richer and everyone else poorer."

WASHINGTON
Today, the Patriotic Millionaires, a group of wealthy business leaders and investors, officially kick off their statewide, "Tax the Rich! Save America Tour" throughout the state of Kentucky.
From March 30th to April 1st, members of the organization will drive across the state, stopping at Mitch McConnell's office, book stores in Morehead, the University of Kentucky, the University of Louisville, along with stops at local dives and gathering holes, to speak to local Kentuckians directly about the need to unrig an economy that is designed to make the rich richer and everyone else poorer.
As Senator Mitch McConnell was the chief architect (and a personal beneficiary) of the 2017 rewrite of the federal tax code, the Patriotic Millionaires are kicking off their 2022 Tax the Rich! Save America Tour in his home state of Kentucky, to prove that even in the home state of the Senate Minority Leader, there are a vast number of Americans who support popular progressive economic issues.

After the speaking series, they will offer free food and drinks at local restaurants and bars to keep the conversation going.

The Patriotic Millionaires is a group of high-net worth Americans who share a profound concern about the destabilizing level of inequality in America. Our work centers on the two things that matter most in a capitalist democracy: power and money. Our goal is to ensure that the country's political economy is structured to meet the needs of regular Americans, rather than just millionaires. We focus on three "first" principles: a highly progressive tax system, a livable minimum wage, and equal political representation for all citizens.
