20,000 Constituents in One Day Urge Their Congress Member to Impeach Trump

WASHINGTON - More than 20,000 people sent individual emails to their member of Congress on Wednesday urging impeachment of President Trump.

Those constituents sent the message to members of the House of Representatives via an action page provided by RootsAction.org.

Many chose to email a message that said: "As a constituent, I urge you to find the courage to insist that Donald Trump must no longer be president of the United States. We must remove this corrupt, unstable, bigoted and extremely dangerous man from the presidency. Please let me know whether you are now supporting impeachment."

The surge of communication from constituents came in response to an email message from RootsAction.org that declared: "We must insist that members of Congress confront Trump’s repeated winks and nods to racists, anti-Semites and all-around bigots -- represented by the Nazis and KKK supporters who terrorized peaceful protesters in Charlottesville days ago
