RESIST DAY #84: What You Can Do Today

Resistance in your community, across the country, and around the globe

Thursday, April 13, 2017

  • Demand that the U.S. Open Its Borders to Syrian Refugees
The Trump administration is banning the very refugees that are escaping the same terrorism we are claiming to fight. Women's March organizers are demanding that we be a sanctuary and safe haven for Syrian refugees. We call on the government to let in at least 75,000 refugees.
    • Attend a vigil or action near you. Women's March organizers and supporters to invite their local communities on Thursday, April 13, at 6pm local time to rallies across the country. Bring candles and signs.
    • Share your events on social media using the hashtag #WomenForSyria.
  • Tell the EPA What You Think About the Destruction of Environmental Regulations
Scott Pruitt's EPA is seeking public comment on its aggressive rollback of climate and pollution regulations that protect public health and the environment. Go ahead, tell them what you really think.
    • Leave a comment on the public docket.
    • If you are in the Washington, D.C. area, attend a public hearing on the regulation reform at EPA headquarters on April 25.
