Scott Plous is professor of psychology at Wesleyan University and founding executive director of Social Psychology Network, a nonprofit dedicated to the promotion of peace, social justice, and sustainable living. He has previously held positions in arms control at Stanford University and the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and is a former MacArthur Foundation fellow in International Peace and Cooperation. Since 2013, he has taught a free online Social Psychology class through Coursera.org to more than 1.3 million students from 200 countries.
