Aquil Basheer is a professional community gang interventionist, the Regional Ambassador and National Trainer of Los Angeles-based nonprofit, A Better LA , and founder of the Professional Community Intervention Training Institute. He is the author of “Peace in the Hood,” which provides guidelines on gang intervention tactics, and key subject of “License to Operate,” a documentary about ex-LA gang leaders turned street saviors.
