Kucinich: NO to #CatFoodChristmas
Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today strongly objected to a proposal to cut Social Security benefits. The White House suggested a reduction in Social Security to cut costs as part of the so-called “fiscal cliff” negotiations. The proposal called the “Chained Consumer Price Index” would result in a reduction of benefits for Social Security recipients even though Social Security does not contribute to the debt and should not be part of debt reduction negotiations.

Congressional Committee Debates Drone Policy
The House Judiciary Committee today conducted an overdue discussion about the United States policy of using drones to target and kill American citizens and others overseas. The policy has come under criticism for killing innocent civilians and inciting radicalization. The Committee discussed H. Res. 819, a Resolution of Inquiry which would compel the Administration to provide the legal basis for the strikes. The resolution was introduced with bipartisan support by Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH).
