Controversial New Ad Targets Grassley over SCOTUS, Iowa Buy Starts Tomorrow

New Agenda Project Action Fund Ad Asks (and Answers) the question on everyone’s mind . . . “If Republicans don’t do their jobs while they’re in Washington, what exactly is it that they do do?"

WASHINGTON - Today, in light of Senator Grassley’s continued refusal to hold a hearing on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee -- and a myriad of other things Republicans refuse to do (like the basic responsibilities of governing) — the Agenda Project Action Fund released a new video that poses a very simple question:

If Republicans don’t do their jobs when they’re in Washington, what exactly is it that they do do?

You can see the video HERE.

The new ad will begin airing in Iowa tomorrow (provided of course that the corporate owned media doesn’t censor or refuse to air it, which it likely will. In which case, it will live on the internet and social media where all the real action is anyway).

While Sen. Dick Durbin has said publicly that the Democrats would work through the process in a "dignified and respectful way,” the Agenda Project Action Fund has placed no such constraints on itself.

Instead, said Agenda Project Action Fund President Erik Altieri, “In this new Grassley ad, the Agenda Project Action Fund has decided to be exactly as dignified and respectful to Republicans as Republicans have been to America."

“Republicans’ outright refusal to do their job has actual, real consequences for actual, real people,” said Agenda Project Action Fund President Erik Altieri, "Leaving the Supreme Court tied in this volatile election season when one candidate has already questioned another candidate’s constitutional right to the Presidency is the definition of irresponsible.  At some point, our fellow citizens are going to clue into the fact that people who hate the government should not be allowed to run it."

The new TV ad brings home this central issue in a most, um, memorable way.

By refusing to do their jobs, Republicans are metaphorically...Well, watch the ad. You’ll see.

Because of the radical extremism of the Right, American politics is increasingly a battle for the political soul of the nation between two diametrically opposed worldviews. The Right’s unlimited financial resources and its pathological immorality will destroy this country – indeed this world – if it manages to wrest control of the government from more rational hands.

Radicalism cannot be met with subtlety and hesitation. A fundamentally different kind of organization is required to dismantle the conservative premise and force it back into the dark corners of the national psyche where it belongs.

The Agenda Project Action Fund doesn’t spend big to buy media so that we can impose our ideas on America, instead we create remarkable expressions of our values which spread because truth cannot be ignored.
