Striking Workers Speak Out on Immigration Reform
One week after their Strike for 15, Fast Food and Retail Workers Join Community Leaders for May Day Rally to Deliver a Message: “We Are Worth More”
WASHINGTON - May 1 -
WHAT: Workers who went on strike last week to Fight for 15 will join community advocates, labor, faith and families in marching to send a clear message to legislators that immigration reform needs to include legalization for the 11 million undocumented immigrants and stop deportations. Since 2006, Chicago’s annual May Day Rally has highlighted immigrant rights as an important component of the worker’s rights debate.
