Despite Snow, 10K Climate Advocates at PowerShift Events Today

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi offers keynote address at culmination rally of Power Shift ’09


On Monday, March 2nd, Power Shift ‘09 culminates its 4-day youth summit
with a rally on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. The rally of thousands of
youth will include a keynote address by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Immediately
following the rally, youth will testify before Congress in a Congressional
briefing sponsored by Rep Ed Markey. Throughout the day young leaders attending
Power Shift '09 will be conducting over 300 lobby visits, making this largest
lobby day in US history.
