Planned Parenthood Victim of Human Trafficking Video Hoax

Lila Rose's anti-abortion group Live Action was embarrassed Tuesday
when a video sting they had planned to use to discredit Planned
Parenthood backfired. The scheme to entrap the organization has been revealed and discredited, and the group is now facing an FBI investigation.

At least 12 Planned Parenthood health centers were visited recently by a
man claiming to be a sex trafficker. However, rather than human
trafficking, the man was part of an elaborate and staged attempt by Live
Action to entrap Planned Parenthood clinic employees.

The visits were made between Jan. 11 and Jan. 15 to health centers in
Virginia, Indiana, New York, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and Arizona.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America president Cecile Richards
wrote to Attorney General Eric Holder summarizing the visits and
requesting an FBI investigation earlier this week.

In her letter to Attorney General Eric Holder,  Planned Parenthood's Richards describes previous attempts by anti-abortion activists to discredit the organization:

"Once inside, these people have recorded `undercover' videos of their
conversations with our clinic staff and then selectively and maliciously
edited the videos. This may be happening once again. If so, this kind
of activity should be firmly condemned."

Lila Rose, Live Action's founder and president, began infiltrating abortion clinics in collaboration with James O'Keefe,
a convicted criminal. In the past O'Keefe has repeatedly told lies
about his heavily edited ACORN videos. Rose herself has a history of
smearing the subjects of her videos.

According to Amie Newman, Managing Editor of RH Reality Check:

Planned Parenthood acted with integrity and discretion
and the amount of capital and resources devoted to "taking down"
Planned Parenthood is not only horrific, it's immoral.
