Convict and Remove

On the second day of ongoing actions to Swarm the Senate and Remove Trump Now, protesters gathered at Mitch McConnell's office Tuesday to recite Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution, which outlines the impeachment process for the president, vice-president and "all civil officers" to be removed from office for "treason, bribery or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." The action was aimed at reminding McConnell he is violating his oath of office by refusing to hold an impartial Senate trial as required by law, a stand of which "history will be a harsh judge." Starting Monday, a coalition of progressive groups - including Indivisible, Women’s March, By the People and Democracy For America - have vowed to protest daily at noon in and outside the Senate's Hart building until Trump is convicted and removed. Citing Trump's multitude of abuse-of-power crimes, they insist they will remain "as long as it takes." "We’ll be there every day," they say, inviting others to join them. "He needs to go."
