Now Trump Is A Genocidal Despot Thanos Wannabe and America Is, Like, Ummm

In the spirit of our weird-ass end times, we now have Trump's "War Room" - yes, Private Five-Time Bone-Spurs has a "War Room" - releasing a campaign ad portraying our very presidential "president" as murderous comic book warlord Thanos, intent on obliterating half the universe's population because he can, in Marvel's Avengers. In their newly deranged, oddly inept video, Trump/Thanos is declared "inevitable," after which Trump/Thanos snaps his stubby little fingers and turns Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats into dust. In the real Avengers: Endgame movie, power-crazed sadist Thanos battles the good guys - Iron Man, Capt. America, Black Widow, Black Panther, Dr. Strange et al - before being himself pulverized into dust about 15 seconds after he proclaims himself inevitable, leading much of Twitter to wonder if Trump's War Room denizens are the only people in America who didn't see the movie, or didn't understand it, or didn't get that Thanos is a bad guy for wishing genocide on the known universe, or didn't care. One response: "A MOTHERFUCKING WAR LORD WHO WANTED TO WIPE OUT HALF THE GALAXY. Also kidnapper of children. And an abusive as fuck father....Where's the connection here? I'm so confused." Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos, was suitably appalled "that pompous dang fool" was defiling his character but mused that, "Fortunately all things, even national nightmares, eventually come to an end.” Meanwhile, others memed it up to find comfort, defiantly flipping "I Am Inevitable" into "I Am Iron Man," "I Am Madame Speaker/Iron Ma'am," "I Am the Constitution" and "I Am Impeachment." Let it be, please.
