Another day, another racist clown. Seeking to rebut Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with a big fat "Oh yeah?!" for her audacity in blasting conditions at Trump's concentration camps so barbaric that migrant women were forced to drink water from toilets because the toilet-fountain hybrids in their cells were broken, Iowa's Steve 'What's Wrong With Being A Nazi?' King had a nifty idea. He broke into - or somehow legally got into - a camp evidently for the sole purpose of proving how fab it is by filming himself drinking water from the aforementioned toilets, smacking his grotesque thin lips and declaring it was "actually pretty good!" and "not bad!" He told the story Wednesday before a town hall audience of 103 people - evidently at this point even his own party's kinda meh about supporting a white nationalist - and gave a little lesson about the workings of the "inmates'" toilet-fountains before boasting he sure did show that mouthy commie AOC because there was "no way" she was "objectively honest" when she described camp conditions as inhumane. "I think there was a little language barrier there," he explained, "and so that's how come we got that misinformation."
One problem: he got it all wrong. As AOC and the sentient half of America pointed out, Ocasio-Cortez testified before the House that the water fountain wasn't working, and the women were told they should drink out of the toilet itself. In addition, Rep. Ayanna Pressley and several other House members backed up the claims. In other words, one King un-fan noted, the "little language barrier" was, "No matter how many times they're told, GOP members can't seem to understand the words 'the fountain part was broken and they were told to drink out of the bowl.'" Many others were dismayed to learn King is not only a repulsive racist - Obama was "very urban," immigrants are livestock, anchor babies! - but a complete idiot, even though Trump called him "a smart person with really the right views on almost everything." Not, said lots of people appalled by a toilet stunt to justify human rights violations. "Sir, THANK YOU for ur leadership on toilet drinking," wrote one. Others said he's a dog so he's probably used to it, he should get help, they had to disinfect the toilet after, and maybe after he spends a few months in a cell with too many people, ripped from his family, sleeping on a concrete floor, without showers or medical care, being treated like someone who deserves to drink from a toilet, then he can get back to us. Also: "I'm embarrassed for the toilet." We'd add, and the country.
Hello Maura: Thank you for covering my town hall, attended by 103 people, in Eagle Grove today. I hope you will include this video in NBC’s coverage. No way was @AOC objectively honest in her #FakeNews spin about the border. Click bait for Snowflakes! https://t.co/2mWRoxv1uW pic.twitter.com/B0kD3N5Vmj
