Lord, what would John Lennon have made of the Trump monster? Marking Thursday's 36th anniversary of Lennon's murder, his still-grieving widow Yoko Ono called his death "a hollowing experience" and posted a plea for gun control. "Every day, 91 Americans are killed with guns," she wrote. "Together, let's bring back America, the green land of Peace." In his final interview with Rolling Stone, Lennon spoke sometimes wearily of enduring fame and age and hard times, concluding, "You've just got to keep going around." Still, with so many seeking solace in these ugly times, one mourning fan says, "Oh John, you really should be here." Lennon agreed long ago - and likely would now if he was around, that, "Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." Below, he declares "Happy Xmas/ War Is Over" - warning: graphic images - and imagines a better way.
