Girl Scouts Insist There Is Not One Type of Girl, Reject Anti-Trans Donation
Small good news of the day: Citing its mission of "serving all girls," The Girl Scouts of Western Washington returned a huge donation after being told it couldn't be used to support transgender girls. Though the $100,000 gift represented a quarter of its annual fundraising, the Scouts, which has a long inclusive history, quickly raised almost three times that with an Indiegogo campaign.

Using "urban intervention tactics to remind the public of the battle we are still fighting,” activists with the Never 21 collective infiltrated Manhattan's posh 21 Club to offer rich white diners a "menu" listing not entrées but the names of black kids senselessly killed by police. They also hung signs around the necks of the restaurant's iconic lawn jockeys spelling out their message - Black Lives Matter.
